Big Brother Day 2 – whats all this about Andrew?

Andrew Gordon enters the Big Brother House on Saturday.
Today is day 2 in the Big Brother house and even though we don’t have the live feeds there are some things we can assume.
The House Guests moved in last night as I reported yesterday, so the first Head of Household has already been decided – most likely in some type of endurance competition. There may also have been some type of competition to determine have and have nots although we can’t be sure of that.
There is the teeniest of buzz out there in the internet about Andrew Gordon, the 39 year old Podiatrist (foot doctor) from Miami Florida. Andrew has stated he is an Orthodox Jew which means he follows his religion a lot more closely than some other Jewish folks.
As a part of his religion, Andrew plans on following “Shabbat,” which is the holy period between sunset on Friday and sunset (roughly) on Saturday, Saturday being the Jewish equivalent of the Christian Sunday. During this period the person observing Shabbat is not supposed to many many things they would do during a normal day. It is taking the idea of the 7th day being a ‘day of rest’ to the extreme. Here are a couple quotes from Andrew before he entered the house:
“Sitting at the table, I won’t be using their dishes; I wont even be eating their food.”
“It’s already going to be tough in that house, so it’s going to be eventougher dealing with these extra little things.”
“People are probably going to look at me as an outsider and wonder what I’m doing and why I’m not eating their food. It’s something I’ve had to explain my whole life as a practicing Jew. Whatever happens, I’ll deal with it.”
The question will be, will this situation be treated as a learning experience for the rest of the house, or used as an excuse make Andrew a target and an easy person to vote out? Time will tell!
