“Big Brother” will be back next summer.

Just days after wrapping a successful 10th season, CBS has confirmed that its long-running reality soap opera has been renewed for an 11th cycle. The news was announced to “Brother” staffers Thursday night at the show’s wrap party in Studio City, Calif.

The renewal doesn’t come as much of a surprise, given “Brother’s” solid performance this summer. Airing three times per week, the show regularly delivered CBS’s best ratings of the night with its Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday broadcasts. Its finale attracted nearly 8 million viewers, down from last summer’s swansong but up compared with the show’s 2008 spring finale.

While CBS has traditionally aired “Brother” once a year, during the summer, the network launched an in-season edition of the show earlier this year as a way of filling programming gaps caused by the writers’ strike.

I know some will be dissapointed, but I personally feel this is a good thing.  We need a break from BB and next summer it will feel fresh all over again!

6:59pm Keesha won the $25,000 – wow.  I expected Renny to get it.  Jerry took second which I expected.  Dang…  I guess America didn’t like Renny as much as we did.

6:55pm Dan won in a landslide – must be 7-0 because the first four keys were for him and if Memphis had any he would have gotten one vote pulled in the 1st four.

6:50pm Everyone of the 1st four got to speak except Angie.  Not shocking.  Jessie thanked America for voting for him all three times.  I guess kudos to him for being a good sport about it.  Hopefully it was at least a little humbling when he found out.

6:40pm Votes are locked in – but the producers already know who was voting for who – and they were called to vote in the order that would make the results as close as possible – if it is close at all.  I am guessing Memphis gets two votes at most.   But her MIGHT get three if Ollie votes the same way as April.

6:30pm Looks like April will vote for Memphis after watching the jury questioning.  The whole jury question session was a big advantage for Dan because, to be honest, he can BS better than Memphis in that kind of situation.  Look how he played Keesha after she realized Memphis was going to vote her out – he was in on it as much as Memphis was but she left mad at him and not at Dan.  And if you think of the jury questioning as a part of the game then Dan played it well.

6:15pm So we just watched the evicted HGs  debate Dan and Memphis.  This is all edited so you need to keep that in mind.  We won’t know for sure how everyone really feels but I would say that Renny and Keesha will vote for Dan to win – they don’t seem to have anything nice to say about Memphis.

I like how April said Dan played the competitions and Memphis played the people.  A good point.

6:05pm Show is all recap so far… (yawn)

5pm Hey there – yeah I haven’t posted much the last few days but there really isn’t much to say.  The show finale is tonight at 9pm.  I will be watching it and commenting on the other site I have http://bigbrother10gossip.blogspot.com/ and you are more than welcome to join us there.

My money is on Dan to win it.  I don’t really care which of them wins it – I think they both played good games – just different styles.  I also think Renny will walk off with the $25,000 by a long shot with Jerry in second.  Many live feed viewers think Keesha will get second – but I think that the TV viewers will pick Jerry over Keesha – it is interesting to note that the three main non-finalists profiled on Sundays show were Jerry, Renny and Keesha.

I have to set up a Big Brother 11 site soon – I am not positive there will be one yet – but most signs would seem to indicate there will be.  I don’t thik BB10 tore up the ratings but it didn’t do too terrible either and it seems to me it is a pretty easy way for CBS to fill three slots – at least during the summer.

They shut the feeds off around 10am this morning.  I am thinking however that at midnight they might come back and re-run the season from the beginning – or they might do it on other links.  If they do I will post them so those that want to can re-visit the season.

7:24pm Looks like the guys are getting to celebrate a little.  THey were locked down outside for about the last 45 minutes or so and we just got a brief glimpse of the dining room table laid out with a fancy mean – and a bucket of beer and champagne.  These boys might get a wee bit drunk tonight.  Now the feeds are on trivia so I am guessing they will get music as well so we can’t watch.

6:07pm The guys are sorta just enjoying that they are in the final two.

5:55pm We get to give $25,000 to one jury member.  My guess is it will be between Renny and Jerry.

5:51pm Julie announces she will have some big news after the commercial.

5:46pm Dan evicts Jerry.

5:42pm Dan won Part 3 by a score of 4-2 although I think Memphis missed the last question because it was a pretty obvious answer – but he knew if he and Dan chose the same answer that Dan would still win – so best to go for the one you thought Dan wouln’t pick and hope for a fluke.  Commercial time while we wait for the final eviction.  I would expect Memphis to go but maybe Dan will shock us…… naw….

5:37pm Part 3 begins.  Finish the statements.

5:36pm Nice to see Keesha saw through Dan’s efforts to get her vote.

5:35pm The jury house knows that Michelle went on a trip with Dan.

5:25pm So Memphis won Part two as we knew – his time was only 8:35 – I guess he didn’t throw it after all.

5:20pm Live show is underway.  So Memphis did indeed throw part one of the competition.  More as I watch.

8:15pm Last night Dan and Memphis were really concerned about Jerry thinking they were together so they were supposed to stay away from each other – but now they don’t seem to care.  They are not cluing Jeryr in to the relationship they have – but they are also not really hiding it much.

Dan discovered some drawings from the set design of the endurance HoH and they are each going to keep one.

6:30pm Well I was wrong.  Memphis won Part II so looks like unless Dan or Memphis really shock me – Jerry will be heading out next.  Sounds like it was a timed competition and Jerry took over 50 minutes to complete it.  It is very possible Dan and Memphis might both try to lose the last competition so the other has to evict Jerry.  But they also joked last night about flipping a coin on who has to do it.

Brian and Steven are not pulling any punches on feed 4.

3:40pm Today as expected has been pretty quiet.  Memphis got help from both Dan and Jerry to prepare for both today’s competition and Thursdays.  I really believe that Memphis will try to lose the competition to Jerry today and thus force either Dan to vote out Jerry – or Jerry to vote out Dan depending on who would win Part III on Thursday.  The feeds went to fish just before 3pm so the competition is probably underway.

2:30pm  Sorry to say the guys have been pretty quit -just waiting for the competition to ge going.

12pm Everyone has eaten breakfast – apparently work has been going on in the backyard since 5am to prepare for today’s competition.  So needless to say they have been stuck inside all day.

10:30am Wake up call came around 10am.  Dan and Memphis are going over who has won which competitions when.  Pretty much Dan seems to be helping Memphis prepare for today’s Part III HoH contest.

7am Everyone was in bed by midnight if ya can believe it.  And they are all still sleeping.

Endurane Update:  Jerry fell off first – then Memphis – Dan wins Part One.

7:12pm I really really think Memphis threw that endurance competition, it looked to me like Dan was much closer to falling and suddenly Memphis was falling off.  He claims he thought he was going to fall off the front but I personally think Memphis didn’t want to win.  I also think he will try to throw part two to Jerry if he can so that if Jerry loses Part 3 – Dan will be the bad guy.  Right now Jerry is cooking dinner for the boys.

6:45pm Memphis off – Dan win’s Part One.  Memphis fell off first – then Dan fell intentionally a few seconds later.

6:35pm Dan tipped a bit.  But recovered.

6:30pm Pretty quite – I haven’t heard Memphis say a word.

6:15pm I will update this every 10-15 minutes although I am wodering how long it will go.  Seems to ne a fairly easy competition to throw and I think that is what Memphis will do.

6:10pm Feeds Back – Jerry Out.

6:01pm Waiting for the feeds to return.

5:55pm Final endurance is a ‘wing walker’ theme.  The three guys are standing on small planes and suspended over a big mat.  Water is being sprayed on them.  Dan and Jerry have jackets on – Memphis doesn’t – which is interesting because Jerry gave Memphis a waterproof jacket a couple nights ago.  Could it be that Memphis ‘forgot’ it as an excuse to throw this part of the competition and let Gerry or Dan win it?  Memphis thinks Dan and Jerry will take him to the final two – so if he loses he won’t have to vote out Dan or Jerry and make them mad.

5:45pm Dan told Keesha he took Michelle – and he wrote “hot” on the botton of a present he gave her as she left.  Was Dan hitting on her?

5:43pm Keesha voted out by Memphis – Dan whispers something in her ear on the way out.

5:40pm POV Meeting underway – Memphis saves himself – now th plea not to be voted out begins.

5:34pm Wow – I am surprised they showed the stuff that went on last night – but on top of that – they edited the heck out of it to make it look like Memphis never left the HoH room and went to the DR.  The comments Keesha made about never voting for the person that votes her out was said AFTER Memphis left.  Keesha left AFTER Memphis – but they edited it to look like he stayed.    This my friends is how a ‘reality’ show is never really ‘real’ – it is all about the editing.  The TV viewer only sees what they want you to see.

5:27pm Watching the POV competition from this weekend – Dan had it won by a mile and had to WAIT for Memphis to win it.

5:18pm Recap of the luxury trip is over – from the editing it doesn’t look like he convinced Michelle to vote for him to win.  But again – it might just be the editing.

5:05pm Show is beginning – we see Dan and Memphis both working on Keesha and Jerry respectively.  Will be a while before we get to the live stuff.

4:20pm Feeds are already on trivia – Keesha is most certainly going home – and then we will have the final endurance competition – will Jerry stand a chance?  And if he drops out first will Memphis and Dan keep the fight up or will one let the other win?  Memphis just might drop out and let Dan wins and then let Jerry win Part 2 so he doens’t have to vote anyone out and will count on Dan and Jerry to both pick him no matter who wins.
