Big Brother 10 Episode #1 Recap

The opening has Julie welcome us by letting us know everyone going the house are strangers. The announcer mentions 52 cameras and 94 microphones (hmmm – less cameras?). We see the various rooms, most interesting to me is the kitchen looks like a 50’s diner.
No opening credits – Julie takes over the narrating outside the house entrance – it is made up to look like an country house.
Julie says the competition begins this season before the HGs enter the house. Then cuts to showing the HGs getting their keys. These are all staged by the way – they are told to act all excited.
We meet some of the HGs..
Jerry sayd he will kick some ass (he is 75), April says she knows how to handle men. Dan says the other house guests will get schooled (he is a teacher), Libra says the is a mother like no other, we see her and her husband and her 4 month old twins.
Moving along we meet some more….. Steven will hang on to the end (Gay rodeo star), Renny is 53 and from New Orleans. Ollie is a preachers son, says he is ready to let loose. Brian doesn’t like to lose. Memphis is a bartender and says he has street smarts and charm.
Angie is either freshly un-engaged or divorced, calls herself an asian-sensation. Keesha is a hooters girl and knows how to work it, Jessie is a body builder and says he will crush he conmpetition (ughh – this is getting old – and BB makes them say these goofy things), Michelle says not to mess with ‘this East Coast Girl.”
And now we see everyone being rushed off to be on the show. It is very obvious that BB is tossing people together of different political views. An extra note – Angie has a brother that is mentally dis-abled.
Here we go – Julie greets the HGs outside the house and they prepare to enter…..
Julie tells the HGs they must choose the HoH before they enter the house. They line up in front of a long table to vote on who they want to be HoH. They ‘Vote’ (ugghhh – I can see the election theme coming out already) and Julie doesn’t reveal who is HoH.
Julie sends in Renny, Dan, Angie, Jesse and April. They look around the house and head back to the bedrooms….. The ‘pink room’ is the first bedroom, the “60’s” style bedroom is where the round bed bedroom has been before, and the Black and Red room is what was the ‘tiny’ bedroom last season.
Now Libra, Brian, Keesha and Memphis head in. Brian comments that he thinks everyone is being nice because no one knows who the HoH is yet.
Finally Steven, Michelle, Jerry and Ollie enter.
It appears Renny has been a bit brash entering the house, Angie and April make comments in the Diary Room (DR) about it.
Votes revealed so far, April voted for Renny, Keesha voted for Jerry.
Introductions all around… I am going to abbreviate this stuff. Steven didn’t reveal he is gay.
Oh my gosh – they showed the Boob scene that was put on youtube yesterday – enjoy…..
Renny comments that she found it inappropriate …..

Julie talks with the HGs (this was some time last week by the way). She doesn’t reveal who the HoH is yet, she says there will be a competition, two teams – Jesse volunteers to sit out.
Hgs go get dressed – white vs red. In the back yard are 4 cars – two VW Bugs hanging upside down and two classic cars. The winner gets one of the cars. The Hgs will be in the bugs and moving cans of gas from one side to the other of the back yard. Its a bit crazy. Julie says in addition they wull be playing for food. Losers get slop. “Bugging out” is the name of the game. Oh and the last person in a car on the winning team wins the classic car.
Red team seems to dominate the competition, Red team consisted of Dan, Memphis, Steve, Renny, Michelle and Angie. Memphis wins the car. He chooses the ‘69 Camero.
The white team is on slop for the week. Keesha, Libra, Ollie, Brian, Aprl on slop for the week (except Jerry is the HoH but they don’t know it yet).

Julie reveals the HoH election results. Renny got 3 votes, Jerry got 4 – Jerry is the forst HoH.
Dan and Brian conspire to form an alliance. They pull Ollie into the alliance as well.
Jerry gets his HoH room – it is VERY fancy, there is a fish tank in it as well this season.
Jesse turns in early. And then we see how loud Renny is – it really annoys Jesse to no end. He tells her off in the bathroom and she apologizes but he doesn’t relaly accept it.

Dan and Brian huddle up and decide to approach Jerry – they think they will suggest Jerry nominate Renny and Jesse. Jerry approaches Brian about an alliance. In the Diary Room Brian implies it is an alliance of convenience for him. Jerry mentions Dan as a nominee and Brian says he would like to keep Dan for now.
Jerry and Brian continue to talk and Jerry talks about eliminating conflict, talking about the fight between Jesse and Renny the night before. They seem to agree on nominations. But we shall see.

Nomination time – here is the order the keys come out in……. Michelle, Angie, Memphis, Libra, April, Brian, Steven, Keesha, Ollie, Dan.
Jesse and Renny are nominated.
Jerry says the nominations are a result of the conflict the night before. He says it is up to everyone else to determine who goes home.
Show ends….
