Monday, Day 30 in the Big Brother House, POV Ceremony
August 3rd, 2009Today: The Power of Veto ceremony was held today and the end result was be no change. Michele didn’t use it. Tensions have been rising over the last couple of days and most likely will continue to rise as the HGs speculate on the mystery power and get more and more paranoid that others are making ‘deals.’

11:50pm The night winds towards midnight with Ronnie bawling in the red bedroom and Michele and Natalie arguing out in the living room. Eventually Ronnie and Kevin got into it yet again.
11:35 pm Chima walked out and threw a glass of water in Russel’s face after she checked with BB and was told it was not against the rules – but not encouraged. This set off another round of yelling and screaming that had to be broken up by others in the end.
11:20pm Jesse has been hiding out in the cold bedroom – he looks up at the camera and is loving all the fighting – because he isn’t a part of it.
11:15pm Kevin and Ronnie get into it as Kevin pretty much tells Ronnie that nothing he says is the truth and Ronnie prepares to say something he feels will show Kevin is a liar and Kevin just goes off on Ronnie – they bump chests and Ronnie says that should get Kevin a penalty nomination.
10:55pm Russel tells Natalie Michelle is a doctor and Natalie goes to Michele and asks her about it – she denies it but you can tell she is upset. Michele goes back to the pool room and Natalie ends up following her and tries to convince Michele that she should vote to keep Ronnie because Ronnie is loyal. Michele doesn’t seem to bite.
10:25pm After Jesse convinced Russel that Michele is lying – Russel decided to talk to Chima to confirm the lie about Michele. Natalie quickly tells Chima to go talk to Russel and to back up their lie that Michele talked to them in the green room.
Chima heads upstairs and doesn’t really want to talk about the thing Nat asked her too – she is more concerned about Russel thinking she was jealous of him and the other women . But Russel does bring up things Michele said – about Chima wanting to backdoor Russel. Chima gets Michele to come up into the room to talk about this.
Very quickly this three way convo falls apart when Michele denies saying certain things and Russel calls her a liar – and Chima gets mad at Russel as well – all three end up yelling at each other – Chima and Russel especially right in ech others face. Michele goes on the balcony to confront Natalie and Jesse in their lie – however the fight between Chima and Russel drowns it out.
9:30pm Well well well….. Michele confronted Jesse about lies Jesse had told to Russell – that Michele went into the green room and told Natalie and Jesse she was willing to vote to evict Ronnie. Jesse did make this story up – however Jesse decided to lie to Russel and say he never said it and that Michele was the one lying.
Russell talked like he believed Jesse and I assumed he was just humoring Jesse – but then Russel told Jesse that Michele revealed her Phd to him – something she hadn’t told anyone else – that tells me that Russel actually still trusts Jesse.
I don’t know what to think now – assuming Jeff wins the Coup d’Etat it may not matter – Russel can’t win the HoH next week so will actually be a bit of a floater – in good with Jesse and Jeff (assuming nothing changes between now and Thursday). Once (if) the Coup d’Etat is revealed, Russel will see the writing on the wall and get close to Jeff.
An interesting and surprising turn – an hour ago Jesse thought he was going down – but a long lie later he may be right back in the drivers seat – at least for this week.
8pm I’ve been sitting here watching the feeds for a couple hours looking for something to post… Here is what I got.
Natalie told Ronnie about 30 minutes ago that she doesn’t think there is any saving him. She says the fight today between Russel and Natalie wasn’t big enough (took place right before the POV ceremony). Natalie is having female issues and is mad that Big Brother won’t give her a heating pad to deal with it – just one of those pads you warm in a microwave – doesn’t stay hot enough for her.
Jeff is in a bad mood – for Jeff – which means he is a bit cranky and wants to be away from most people – Jordan is an exception. Jeff is tired of the fighting and scheming I think.
And here are some random pics as I watched the live feeds….
5:30pm The house is just “weird” today to quote Jordan and others. This ‘power’ thing has everyone worried. Natalie and Jesse are being short with each other and Jesse has pretty much given up on the idea of saving Ronnie.
2pm Natalie has revealed to Chima that she is 24. She seems to be working hard to get her as a tight ally. She even told her that if she was on the block against Ronnie, Natalie and Jesse would keep her in the house over him. So it appears she is working very hard to somehow get Lydia voted out. 7 votes this week. Michele, Kevin, Jordan or Jeff would have to vote to evict Lydia in order for Ronnie to stay.
1:05pm Feeds have returned and the POV wasn’t used as expected. I am guessing Natalie will continue to stir up trouble between Natalie and Russel – and perhaps others – to try to get the house to vote her out.
12:15pm Power of Veto setup/ceremony will be going on now. Michele is not going to use it. On a side note, Lydia is getting grumpy and mad at Russel feeling like he is trying to cause problems – right be fore the feeds went to trivia she and Russell were insulting each other with smiles on their faces – not a smart move by Natalie to stir up trouble when she will still be on the block this week. By the way – Natalie helped instigate this little fight by running to Russell to tell him things Lydia was saying. Wonder if she is trying to find a way to keep Ronnie and get Lydia out.
11am Jordan has been the subject of the BB cams this morning – 1st talking with Michele, then Jeff, now with Russel.
10am House guest are getting up for the day. Russell found the cellophane and that was that – he wasn’t ‘mad’ at all.
7am Kevin and Jesse eventually headed back off to bed. House is quiet now.
5:30am Everyone was in bed for a bit but then Jesse and Kevin got back up and are up talking in the Gree (Recycle) room. They touch on a couple issues – Jesse complaining about being on slop – still mad that Jordan didn’t put Jeff on it. Kevin makes sure Jesse understands that he meant nothing bad when he told Lydia not to volunteer to be on slop in Jesse’s place.
4:30am For the most part it has just been Lydia, Jesse and Kevin up. Lydia and Jesse playfully flirting and talking – Kevin sleeping in the green room and reading the Big Brother manual.
Right after 4am Lydia came up with a prank to pull on Russel – so she and Kevin strung cellophane across his HoH room. They seem to think Russel is going to be really mad. I don’t see why – it isn’t really much more than a bit messy to clean up.
2:15am Natalie just lied to Kevin saying she didn’t turn him in for eating the Grape(s) that got him in trouble for being on slop. She said she didn’t care that he did it. This of course is completely wrong as she complained profusely to Jesse about it and in the Diary Room as well – and it is assumed her telling the DR is because of Natalie. Outside Jesse tells Lydia that he is going to try to not talk to Natalie for a few days since they are being viewed as a team.
1:30am Ronnie has stayed in the pool bedroom. Michele escaped from talking to Chima and had a short convo with Michele where she just replayed a bit of her conversation with Chima to Russell. Outside
