Monday, a pointless Power of Veto ceremony?
August 10th, 2009Today: The big item on the agenda for today was the Power of Veto competition. Kevin didn’t use it. Jesse and Natalie were up most of the night so they will probably sleep all day (the slept until 6:30pm).
Coup d’Etat: Will he – won’t he? Early this morning Jeff felt out Michele on who she would vote out between Jesse and Natalie, like Russel she said Jesse.
10:45pm Big Brother didn’t give them booze tonight – instead they got play dough. Jesse is back up and playing pool with Russel who is trying to plant seeds of doubt – saying that Chima wants all the guys out so Jesse will be going soon. Trying to get Jesse to flip on the girls.
8:50pm The last hour or so has been the Chima/Michele talk show in the house. I have to mute it a lot because I can only take so much Russel bashing.
8:30pm I managed to get in a call to Michelle’s call in show and ask Ronnie a question about Chima’s terrorism talk. He pretty much said she is going to say what she wants to say. On my question about the DR possibly ‘leading’ HGs down a certain line of thought about how their actions are being received by the public, it was kinda decided that it might be best not to discuss that stuff since Ronnie is still under contract 
Not that they will see this – but thanks to James, Michele and Ronnie for taking my questions!
7:05pm Two things…. first off, thanks so much to Christine who sent me a nice email today, and to everyone else who comes to this site for their Big Brother updates! I know people read it but there are times I wonder if people find my style useful as I just have sort of developed it over the years starting with BB 4. Not having comments can make it hard to get feedback but as I have said, I’m always right so what is there to discuss anyways (mostly joking!). The note from Christine got me to update my ‘about’ page for this season so check it out if you want to know more about me. Once again thanks to all of you that come and visit the site and suggest it to others!
Second – Jesse and Natalie are up! They have been off cam for almost 11 hours sleeping almost all of it – they are so going to be up all night. The other Hgs are mostly up – Russel still being rather isolated. Jordan cleaned out the fridge and made lasagna.
4:25pm I must say – the high quality feeds look great this season! Here are 4 full size images (I usually shrink them a bit to fit on the page better).
3:30pm All in all a quiet afternoon. Here are some pics of the HGs sunning themselves and such.
12:55pm Power of Veto ceremony is over and Kevin didn’t use it. During the ceremony I guess Russel said to Kevin he assumed Russel would use it on Lydia because she is his friend. Chima tells Kevint that was a ‘dig’ at Kevin because Kevin wasn’t going to use it. Chima tells Kevin that he and Lydia are in the middle and no one is targeting them. I beg to differ – lol – I am pretty sure even Chima has discussed getting Kevin out sometime in the not to distant future.
12:10pm Hgs have been told to go outside and Kevin has been called to the Diary Room. The POV ceremony will be sometime soon. Thehgs are all very groggy so it might be a long ceremony once it does get going.
10:50am The Hgs mostly got up – groomed – dressed – then went back to bed. Chima is up in the kitchen – everyone else seems to be asleep.
8:10am Hgs getting their wake up call
7:15am Jesse, Natalie and Lydia were the night owls. Jesse and Natalie playing pool and makign bets – then Lydia took one of the pool balls and hid it and said she was going to bed. Jesse hauled her out of her bedroom thinking she had the ball on her person (she didn’t) – Natalie took a stuffed animal of Lydia’s and they made a hostage exchange. Eventually Natalie and Jesse went to bed after a game of chess. If you want to hear a Diary Room leak – around 6:55am Natalie is in the Diary Room with some requests – including complaining about the ‘communal’ lotion that is giving her a rash.
3am Jeff feels out Michele – she says that in a hypothetical situation where it was Jesse and Natalie on the block, she would vote out Jesse. In the green room others talk about general stuff – no game talk.
2:15am Russel spent time alone in the backyard. Upset because he thinks he is going home – apologizing to his fathr (“Pops”). Jesse STILL upstairs talking with Chima.
2am Jesse stays up in the HoH room plotting and speculating with Chima and Natalie goes outside to play pool with Jeff – seems to me she is using it as an excuse to grill him for info.
After Natalie and Jordan left the back yard Russel talked alone with Jeff. He feels he is going home, all Jeff can tell him is to never give up.
12:30am HoH conference – Chima, Lydia, Michele, Natalie and Jesse bash Russel for quite a while.
