As usual the show began with a re-cap of the goings on the previous couple of weeks - including Beau's eviction and the fact that thats the end of the 'couples' thing - thats right - no Million for anyone now.  Ivette was sad but that quickly changed to Joy as she won the HoH and did many many 'happy dances.'  She finally got to see a picture of her girlfriend Maggie (not to be confused with the Maggie in the house).  April and Maggie thought she was cute - Howie and Janelle didn't (of course.
 

Since there was little doubt who would be nominated Big Brother needed to fill some time and they did just that devoting at least 15 minutes it seems to Howie and his light saber antics.  Even for those of us that liked the Star Wars series this got a bit tiresome but what ya gonna do?  Big Brother has to fill some time. On to the nominations and surprise surprise - Howie and Janelle are up - Ivette REALLY wants Janelle gone - she has promised Eric and Beau she would get her out.  She tells Janelle that she is good at manipulating men after nominations.

With that Janelle is now one nomination shy of being tied with Amy from BB3 for the most times nominated in my Big Brother Record Book.  This was Janelle's 5th nomination - Amy was nominated 6 times.  Curtis from BB1 was also nominated 5 times.

Janelle proves her toughness by winning the Power of Veto, beating Ivette by a full minute in a contest that was pretty much identical to one from last year where the Hgs had to guess the morphed faces.  The sour grape losers decided that Janelle had an advantage because she stares at people a lot.

Ivette has already told April that she will be going up because she is the only HG that hasn't been on the block yet - which is logical I guess but even though April goes along with it she still has her doubts - especially since Maggie talked last week  about using the POV and putting April up.

Indeed Janelle uses the POV to save herself (Ivette of Maggie implied that if she really cared about Howie she would save him - ummm - easy for you to say - lol) and Ivette puts up April.
 

Now is when CBS tried to make things seem more dramatic than they are.  We see Howie and Ivette talking at the pool and Ivette mulling over the possibility of  voting out April.  It will most likely be a tie vote on Thursday with Maggie voting to evict Howie and Janelle voting to evict April - so Ivette will get to decide who goes.  Ivette says it would really be better for her to vote out Ivette - that she would have a better chance against Howie or Janelle in the end since the Jury house will have a majority of the 'friendship' alliance.  Howie doesn't seem to try to force the issue but what CBS didnt' show is that this has been what Janelle and Howie have been trying to convince Ivette of all week.

Problem is Ivette has told Maggie of the suggestion by Howie and Janelle (even though CBS makes it out to be Ivette's idea - Howie and Janelle were going to propose it as well and have brought it up again a couple of times).   Maggie will probably manage to keep Ivette from commiting to such a plan so the only hope is that Ivette and April have some huge falling out between now and Thursday night and that doesn't seem likely at this point.

So don't believe the hype CBS will throw at you Thursday - the odds are almost 100 to 1 against Howie.  But if things change I will certainly be one of the first to let you know on my Big Brother 6 main page.   Hmm - this was a longer 'recap' than I expected!!
