July 30th, 2006 - Nominations and Food Competition
Show begins with the typical weekly recap of everything that has happenned recently - ending with Janelle winning HoH. Jase evicted, Mike in the Diary Room (DR) says it was tough to see Jase go. Kaysar says it was the hardest eviction yet. Danielle said he deserved to stay in the house. Diane says Jase leaving ‘proves’ that there wasn’t a MR & MRS Smith alliance. James says Jase wasn’t back doored because he threw an HoH competition and didn’t compete in the last POV competition. |

Mike and Will in the DR do another pretend phone call where Will tells Mike they were not evicted again.
Marcellas says, “good riddance to Bad Brother.”
There is more mulling over Jase leaving - but not gonna recap all that.
On to the HoH being won by Janelle…. Janelle talks about excelling at the game.
Will and Mike in the workout room - Mike asks Will why he didn’t eliminate Janelle (he eliminated Howie) - Will explains he felt he had a better chance influencing Janelle than he would Howie.
This leads into a video segment where we see Janelle flirting with Will and then Janelle in the DR saying it is a part of her strategy.
The HoH room is revealed - all PINK. Mike in the DR room comments on how fake the whole, “come see the HoH room” bit is.
Marcellas says it is like a Pepto Bismal nightmare.
Janelle with her alliance talks about who to nominate. Janelle says there are 5 floaters vs only 2 “Chill Town” - Kaysar suggests putting up Diane. James wants Mike out. James also has said he has a promise from Diane not to put him up. James isn’t happy but says do what you want and I will do what is best for me next week.
James and Diane talk alone. James explains in the DR that he and Diane and Danielle have kind of been taking care of each other. James encourages Diane to go talk to Janelle. This she does and it seems to work - she and Janelle get along and she may have saved her neck from being nominated.
Next, Will heads into the HoH room and does a puppet show in the bathtub (This was Thursday night and was quite funny). In the end he proposes to Howie and Janelle an alliance to get out the floaters. Also discussed - but not show on the show was splitting the prize money among the final 6.
George still on slop (Slop is oatmeal with protein powder according to Will). We see all the different ways George prepares slop. Geoge can also eat pickles, salsa and a few other condiments (not discussed on the TV show).
Food competition - this also took place Thursday night - which is unusual.
Hgs head out to the backyard - there is a little arena set up and helmets and balls - the name of the competition is “Food Fight” - James hoped it was dodge ball. Janelle explains they will be fighting for their food - not with it.
Everyone gets in the ring. Then balls drop down. Only one ball has a star on it - if you get that ball you win food for the week. They also get to put someone else on slop for the week. George gets to participate but no matter what he is still on slop.
In the DR Danielle said she was a bit concerned that the women are all small and the guys are all pretty big. Will said he made a deal with Howie not to eliminate each other - he said he didn’t care he just wanted to test Howie.
Mike catches the first ball and puts Marcellas on slop as payback for eliminating him from the HoH earlier that evening.
Howie wins round two and puts Will on slop. Will in the DR says that shows he can’t trust Howie.
Kaysar catches the third ball - puts George on slop (the ’safe’ route according to Janelle in the DR).
James wins the 4th ball and puts Diane on slop.
Last ball - Danielle beats Erika to it - Erika on slop.
Silly segment on cooking with Diane and Janelle, showing that neither of them knows a lot about cooking.
Janelle and Howie talks to Mike and Will again (this was Friday morning) - they lobby to have floaters put up and discuss an alliance with the S6 people (again not shown is the discussion of splitting the prize money six ways. As Howie and Janelle walk away Mike says under his breath, “you guys are gonna get played.”
Janelle talks to Howie about it - says the floaters are the biggest alliance in the house now. She brings James into the HoH room (this is the way things went - Will had her thinking about nominating floaters - then James came right back and convinced them to nominate Will and Mike). Janelle seems to agree to put up Chill Town.
Now Will comes in next. Alone with Janelle…. she explains the situation - that she is being pressured to nominate Chill town. Will talks to her about the reasons she shouldn’t…. Will says she should take big chance.
And now the moment I loved, Will makes Janelle blush saying she won’t put him up because she likes him - she denies it.
Will talks about Janelle alliance - he says 3 of them have ‘parachutes.’ - She has Marcellas, Kaysar has Erika, James has Danielle. Will promises that if she puts up floaters she will have Will and Mikes support.
Janelle says she will think about it.
Nomination time.
Here is the order the keys were pulled. James, Marcellas, Howie, Kaysar, Will, Danielle, Diane, George. Erika and Mike are nominated.
Janelle says she nominated Mike because he had said he was coming after her.
She says she nominated Erika because she is so well liked in the house that no one was coming after her.
In the DR Janelle says she is really after a ‘floater.’
