Power of Veto Competition and Ceremony - July 18th, 2006 CBS doesn’t count the BB show from June as an Episode - so I am having two Episode 5’s!!! We see the standard recap - Nakomis and Diane nominated - yadda yadda :) Diane in the Diary Room (DR) says being nominated sucks. Marcellas says that Kaysar should have nominated Mike and or Will. Janelle agrees that he should have put up Will or Mike. Mike says Kaysar bought himself a week or two by NOT putting them up.

Nakomis seems to handle the nominations well while Diane breaks down crying.

In the DR Nakomis says it is really hard being put up against the one person you trust. Diane says she wishes it could be anyone but Nakomis she was up against.

Nakomis says that Diane is able to play on people’s sympathies and we see her (Diane) talking to Mike.

Mike tells her he didn’t make a deal with Kaysar. Flashback to Mike and Will in the HoH room with Kaysar and it is implied they made some kind of deal (they really didn’t make a deal but CBS sure seems to wat to imply they did). We see Kaysar talk about putting up a floater this week and then Mike and Will putting one up next week. Problem is Diane was not considered a ‘floater’ in the house by anyone (I guess CBS wants you to think she was).

Mike says he thinks Diane is an amazing player and an amazing person.

Now we see Mike and Will make fun of Kaysar in the DR for not nominating eithe rof them. They are wearing “Chill Town” t-shirts when they do this.

Mike explains that they play with no fear and he thinks they will end up running things.

Spider time. Janelle and others are shown naming the spiders after the candidates that didn’t get in the house. Bunky, Lisa, Cowboy and Monica.

Jase reflects with James on getting older and growing up. Jase misses his g/f and her little girl.

Full moon shot. I think this next bit is from Sunday night when Mike was a lil drunk and kinda got loud. We see Jase, Will, George, Erika, and Mike talking about how it is them against BB6 people. It is implied that Jase, George, Will, Mike and Erika reach an aqgreement to go after the Season 6 people (sigh - if only it were that simple!!).

ALrighty… sorry - took a lil break….. here we see Howie using the HoH shower and Kaysar has on headphones in the bedroom. Howie forgets his towel and calls for Kaysar who can’t hear him because he has his headphones on listening to music……..

Howie knows the cameras will see him if he comes out of the shower - and that is eventually what he does, covering himself very carefully.

Now on to Diane… she explains to Kaysar that she will leave California if she gets evicted because she can’t afford to stay out there on her own.

Nakomis decides to color her head flame red (with a little yellow).

Will in the DR says it looks like a devilled egg. Howie says it isn’t her hair’s fault she is ugly (ouch Howie!).

Janelle and Marcellas look at the memory wall and start making up a soap opera - (this went on all last week). So we see a comments about each HG and their “Soap Opera” characters.

Now we see dissention in the ranks - Janelle, Howie and James not happy with the nominations - talk about the perceived deal with Kaysar.

Note again to clarify - Kaysar never wanted to nominate Mike and Will - he tossed out the idea of a ‘deal’ to them after he had decided to nominate Diane and Nakomis. He figured he might as well pretend to offer a deal with them as long as he was at it since it would appear her was doing something he might not have done without said ‘deal.’ Get it? If not no worries - just know there really isn’t a ‘deal’ this is all just clever editing to make it seem like there was :)

Janelle says she thinks Chill Town needs to be broken up now. This conversation happened Sunday night - a day AFTER the POV competition that they haven’t even show yet by the way :)

Janelle says if she gets to play and wins the Power of Veto (POV) she just might have to change one of Kaysars nominations.

POV contest time. A wheel is spun this year to determine the extra players. Will, Erika and James win the right to play along with the others (Kaysar, Diane and Nakomis).

Kaysar chooses George to host. The name of the game is the “1st annual all star gold classic” - the backyard is set up like a country club with a gold course and oversized golf balls and clubs.

The HGs take turns hitting balls close to a target - depending on where it lands they either do nothing, add balls to their tube, or add balls to someone else’s tube.

Nakomis, Diane, James, Kaysar and Will all hit the ‘add 3 balls’ area the first time up (7 eliminates you). James admits in the DR that he is intentionally trying not to win since he did so well last year. Erika only has to add 2 to her tube.

Second round - Nakomis, Diane, James, Kaysar all hit +3 balls. Will hits +2. Erika actually gets to add a ball to someone else’s tube and decided on Nakomis - eliminating her from the competition.

Third Round - Diane +3 - eliminated. James +1 - eliminated. Kaysar gives a ball to Will. Will hits it wildly and ends up getting +1 ball. Erika hits Give 1 - she eliminated Kaysar and wins the POV.

Erika in the DR says she loves having the power and will try to use it to her advantage.

Danielle talks to both Nakomis and Diane - she says she knows how they feel now. They don’t think Erika will use it because she is close to Kaysar.

Mike’s Birthday was Sunday - they talked Erika into letting will spell out Happy Birthday on her in whipped cream and Mike came in and licked some of it off. You can see pics here. Only half the house was allowed to participate in the party food. Will and Mike teased Howie about it.

Janelle and Marcellas and Kaysar in the HoH room - Janelle announces she doesn’t like Mike anymore (This again was Sunday night). We see almost everyone but the season 6 people outside talking about how they need to get rid of someone from season 6.

Will says that someone needs to go get Kaysar. Jase goes and calls him down and Will explains that they all like Nakomis and Diane and they are having a hard time with the fact that one of them may have to leave. Will says he wonder if someone else can go home besides them. Kaysar says someone has to be unhappy - so lets line all 12 people up and you tell me who needs to go. Will finally says he will go up - that Erika shoukld use the veto and put him up. Kaysar doesn’t seem to take him seriously.

Kaysar says for him to stop trying to be the hero. Marcellas tells him to have Erika use it and put up Mike in someone’s place.

POV - lets make it quick….. you just want to know (like 99% of you dont’ know already). Erika calls everyone in. She gives Nakomis and Diane a chance to say something. They won’t campaign against each other.

Erika says she likes both of them, she has thought about it a lot, but has decided not to use the POV.

In the DR Erika says using it would have made herself more of a target. Diane says no one has the nerve to use it. Nakomis says it is ‘on.’ Marcellas says Diane cried all night, get rid of Nakomis. Janelle feels Diane is the bigger threat. Will says Kaysar didn’t put him up because he wants to save his own hide.
