Show begins with a recap of Episode #1.
Opening Credits.
We see the reactions of the ‘rivals’ - Jessica says she has not spoken to Carol in six years - Carol says they got in a fight and never made up. Daniele says she was bummed out to see her dad come in the house. Dick says Daniele has not talked to him in two years. Joe says he became enraged when Dustin came down and Dustin says you could sense the tension between them.
Now they show Daniele crying and Jameka and Carol consoling her. In the Diary Room (DR) Daniele says she doesn’t even know why they stopped talking two years ago. Back in the bathroom with Jameka and others Daniele explains that her Grandparents have really been her ‘parents’ and Dick has been more of a ‘friend’ - and a ‘mean’ friend at that.
Dick comes back and tries to talk to Daniele - he says it is going to be tough on both of them. Daniele tells Dick she has lied to everyone that she is 21 already and asks him not to eveal her lie. Dick comments that she looks like she has lost a lot of weight. Daniele says she is fine and comments that this (being in the house) is going ot be a lot harder than she thought.
Dick whispers to Daniele and says that they need to be cordial. In the DR Dick sheds some tears and says he will not lie to Daniele or try to use her.
Cut to Joe and Dustin in the “Big” bedroom. It is apparent that Joe is the most upset compared to Dustin. Joe tells the entire house he will be campaigning to get Dustin out.
And now we see Carol and Jessica talking. Carol comments that the other two rivals are much more ‘drastic’ than they are. In the DR Jessica seems to have the bigger grudge still between the two.
Kail is HoH - she says that she was going to fly under the radar and yet now she is HoH.
We finally see the HoH room and it looks rather ‘modern’ compared to the rest of the house.
The HGs then examine their pictures for the memory wall. Jen is literally crying about her picture. Other HGs can’t believe she is so upset over the picture. We hear dramatic music playing as Jen continues to cry. Wow….. Just… WOW. Jen blocks the picture with a pot holder and walks away.
-COMMERCIAL-
Dick telling stories to Kail - dropping celebrity names - We see Daniele in the DR saying her dad drops names constantly. We then see Dick dropping tons of celebrity names.
On the hammock, Amber, Carol and Dustin are talking. Amber is talking about her daughter. Amber explains she is in the house to help her family. Crying in the DR she explains she wants to win to give her mom a lot of money. Carol says it appears Ambers family is very dependant on her while she (Carol) depends on her family.
Strategy time. Mike and Kail meet in the HoH room and wants to form an alliance of ‘two.’ Kail suggests including Nick and Zach in the alliance. Mike agrees and they recruit Zack next. Kail goes and recruits Nick. He makes a comment about ‘Mrs Robinson’ and her three boys.
-COMMERCIAL-
Food competition - two teams - Eric quickly suggests dividing up by how they are sitting. They go outside and find two huge tubs of popcorn and two very big butter pumps.
Blue Team - Jessica, Joe, Nick, Zach, Jameka, Eric, Daniele
Red Team - Dick, Mike, Jen, Dustin, Carol, Amber
As HoH Kail did not participate.
“Butter” was pumped into a kiddy pool and then HGs would roll in it and run to the tub - where their fellow HGS would scrape off as much butter as possible. The team that transfers the most wins.
Jen immediatly tells Dick she doesn’t want him touching her. Dick is offended by it (and still is by the way).
The competition begins -sloppyness ensues….. not much work re-capping - except the blue team was worried that the Red teams long haired people had an advantage.
Final results - Blue Team 37 lbs of butter - Red Team 77 lbs of butter. Red team is on slop for a ‘week.’
Onward - Joe and Dustin talk in the backyard. Joe continues to say that Dustin gave him VD and Dustin denies it. The go round and round - it isn’t very pretty - very petty actually. It is very apparent that they won’t be mending fences any time soon. Dustin seems to realize that he needs to not be too dramatic or it will make him more of a target in the house.
-COMMERCIAL-
Dick tries to talk to Daniele in the bathroom and she ignores him for quite a while - but then she tells him that he may be coming on too strong. Then they seem to open up and Dick tells her his thoughts - they seem to have each other’s “backs” in the game for now.
Kail talks to Mike about who to nominate. It is difficult when three are not eligible. Mike suggests that she nominate the ones that didn’t do well in competitions.
America’s player Eric…… here is the first chance to tell him what to do. He is to make up a tramatic story about his childhood and pour it out to one of the other HGs - and America gets to pick which one. Text messaging is 99 cents per vote so I am not even going to bother posting that info - just go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/americas_player/vote.shtml to vote. Voting ends at 12am Pacific - that is 3am Eastern.

Nomination time. Here is the order the names came out of the box. Dustin, Dick and Jessica are safe - keys were not in the box. First name out - Eric. Joe, Zach, Daniele, Jen, Mike, Jameka, Nick. Amber and Carol are nominated.
Kail explains she nominated Amber and Carol because they were the worst performing on the mushroom HoH competition. End of the nominations.
Carol understands why she is nominated. Jessica feels great about Carol being nominated. Joe thinks it is fair. Dustin appartently wishes Joe had been up. Amber isn’t happy that Kail nominated her because she would not have nominated Kail as a fellow ‘mother.’ Kail says (in the DR) there is more to her nominations but she would not tell the house that.
