Big Brother 8 Episode #8 Recap
July 22th, 2007

A recap of the last week. Dick confronting Kail, Joe being voted out, Dick winning HoH.

Opening Credits.

We see Joe leave. Jen happy, Kail wondering what happened to her alliance.

Dick happy he got to stay, Daniele feels she can trust Dick more than Joe. Other comments. Zach feels the alliance he was in is done.

Reactions shown to Dick winning HoH, Daniele excited, Jen a bit concerned.

Kail confronts Mike and asks him when he decided to vote out Joe. Joe said he had decided that morning and he assumed she knew. In the Diary Room (DR) he said there really was no reason not to tell her. Kail in the DR says the men are cowards for not telling her.

Everyone checks out Dick’s HoH room. Old pics of Dick and Daniele from when they were younger.

Dick talks to Kail, she explains about her alliance - naming everyone in it. Dick says she wasn’t a smart player, Kail says if she isn’t a smart payer why put her up? In the DR Dick says his nominations were set in stone but now they might not be depending on how people act.

-COMMERCIAL-

Jen and Eric Wrestle, this was actually from last week. Jen pins Eric.

Nick talks about a top 10 list of Guys - none of the other guys say they have a ‘list.’ The other guys make fun of him - in the DR he says he is now homophobic. The list is his list of guys he would take if he was gay. Nick goes in and talks to Daniele and turns it into a flirting session. In the DR Daniele says she likes Nick but she also has a boyfriend she is crazy about.

We see Daniele and Nick snuggling and then Daniele goes outside and finds Dick (Again this was last Monday or Tuesday night). She tells Dick she just wants to go, it is a crappy situation to be in. She cries a lot. She says she doesn’t want to do something stupid because her boyfriend makes her feel like nobody else.

Dick counsels that she has only known Nick for 3 weeks and life outside may be different. He said he is there for her if she needs him, tells her he loves her (she never says it back). He then talks to Dustin and in the DR about how hard this is and how he wants to do the right thing.

-COMMERCIAL-

Jameka hates the slop. We see her workign her way through it. Amber seems to be upset for Jameka. Jen doesn’t understand since she hasn’t been on it.

Dick makes a remark about the slop eaters looking like starving children in Africa and Jameka seems to take exception with his choice of Africa and mentions Asia or America. Dick takes Jameka aside later on and explains that he was not making a racist comment, Jameka says she didn’t take it that way.

Jameka, while talking to Dick gets a bit teary eyed explaining that she is under a lot of pressure being the only black in the house to represent her people. Dick gives her a hug and all seems well.

Food competition time. The HGs see two giant bowls of pasta and the theme is Mission Impastabowl. There are two giant slides into the bowls of pasta. The HGs are playing for foods. HGs pair up - they slide into the bowl and each much find a meatball with a matching food item (Eric gives an example that they must both find one that says ‘liver’).

Total time 5 minutes.

Dustin and Amber get halibut.

Mike and Zach get desert.

Kail and Jen get “sweetbreads”

Eric and Dick get Eggs.

Jessica and Jameka get a BBQ Grill.

Nick and Daniele get bananas.

Amber & Dustin get Lobster Tail

Eric and Dick - Beer and Wine

Daniele & Nick - Cereal

Most of the HGs didn’t know ’sweetbreads’ were cow pancreas. More items were won but not all were shown.

Eric’s task is to get Jen nominated. Eric says it is the best day ever (because he knows it will be easy).

-COMMERCIAL-

Kail on homosexuality. Dustin educates her on being gay. Kail says her views on being gay have not changed, but she does forget Dustin is gay at times because of who he is.

Dick confronts Zach on his alliance. Zach admits he counseled Jen to put up Dick and Daniele. Dick asks why he should trust him and Zach because he gave Dick his vote over Joe.

Now Dick talks to Nick, who explains how the alliance came to be. He says he is not playing Daniele and he had told Daniele about the alliance he had been in several days ago. Dick is not sure if he can trust Nick.

Nominations - her is the order the keys come out.

Jameka, Jessica, Amber, Eric, Daniel, Dustin, Nick, Zach, Mike. Jen and Kail are nominated.

Dick says Jen put him on the block last week. He says Kail lied to him and he will do everything he can to get her out this week.
