POV TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT? See below (8:35pm)!

Important Stuff Today? Jessica and Jameka were nominated tonight. Dick said that the POV competition is tonight @ Midnight.

11:55pm  Not a lot going on – no one seems to think the POV is at 12am that I can tell (seems Dick gave up on the idea).  Dick and others just want to go out back – Dick so he can smoke, Eric so he can soak in the hot tub.  Eventually Jameka, Eric and Jessica head to sleep.

9:30pm Now Dick is talking about the POV being tomorrow. Perhaps he misunderstood.

8:35pm Dick is talking to Jessica and Daniele – and he said that the POV competition will be tonight at midnight. I am surprised if that is the case – to start it right after the Showtime feeds end?

7:55pm Eric is having a bit of a heart to heart with Jameka. I am thinking he is somewhat serious. He might be having some regret from earlier when he appeared to upset Jessica by implying he would vote out Jameka over Dick or Daniele. He seems in some sense to be doubting his game play and is justifying it to Jameka who is mostly listening.

Part of what he has expressed is that perhaps the game and winning it is taking a back seat to his relationship with Jessica (that is my interpretation).

7:30pm Daniele seems to be hanging out in the HoH room with Zach tonight – working on her nails.

Eric told Jessica that if he won POV he would save her – but he would still vote out Jessica. This apparently surprised Jessica and she went to lay down. Seems to me that Jessica and Daniele are thinking along the same lines (break up the alliance at first chance) and Dick and Eric are wanting to keep it together another week.

5:40pm Feeds return – Jessica and Jameka nominated.

4:15pm Zach was called to the DR for nominations.

4pm Now Jameka has his ear. I think Zach is just being nice to her – he isn’t saying he is putting her up – but he isn’t saying that he is not either.

3:30pm Eric spent an hour in the HoH room working on Zach – not that he made any ground. However, Zach seems to be leaning towards nominating Jessica and Jameka again. Dick met with Zach after Eric left and then Zach checked in with Daniele to let him know what he was thinking (nominating Jessica and Jameka).

Dick is worried that if Zach nominates Eric and Jessica – and Jameka wins POV – that Jameka will use the POV to save one of them and Zach will have to nominate Dick or Daniele and they will go home. Of course that is a possibility no matter how nominations go.

2pm Looks like they are working a deal with Zach. I suspect that Zach may now put up Eric and Jessica. Daniele and Dick have both said that Zach cannot tell Eric or Dick that they have been having these talks. If Zach nominates Jessica and Eric, and one of them comes off the block and Jameka goes up, Dick says Jameka would go home, but Zach says he will want to discuss things at that point.

1:45pm Daniele is pushing for Zach to work towards getting Eric or Jessica out. Dick stll wants Jameka out. But now Zach is discussing possibly putting up Jessica and Eric to start with.

1:15pm Jessica spoke with her brother on the phone. She is telling Jameka, Eric and Dick bits and pieces of it. Outside Daniele and Zach are talking and sunning.

12:09pm Jessica is getting her phone call now. From what Dick said it sounds like people picked between Jameka and Jessica to get it. There was a brief shot of a phone in the DR a few minutes ago.

11:12am Lock down over – back to bed. Jessica got up and went outside. No food competition today. My guess is there is no competition at all and they will fill the airtime with video from the jury house.

10:30am Hgs are all in the HoH room on lock down.

7:30am Everyone asleep, Dick finally went to bed between 6 and 6:30.

5:40am Everyone finally going to sleep. Or not – Dick is back up and wandering around.

12am-5am Zach talked to both Dick and Daniele about his plans to nominate Jameka and Jessica and told Dick that he and Daniele are safe this week.Eric apologizes to Jessica all night long for losing the HoH competition. He has vowed that if he is on the block against Jessica he will make sure Jessica stays and he goes home.Dick reveals to Jessica that she is probably going up.Jessica passes the news on to Eric.

Big Brother 8 Episode #25 Recap
August 30th, 2007

Show starts with a recap of the last week (shocking!). Ends with Amber and Zach still nominated after the POV meeting.

OPENING CREDITS

Julie starts out talking about the 4 person alliance. Say’s America is a “Secret” 5th member (ok – whatever). Who will go – Zach or Amber?

Now we see the POV Meeting aftermath. Amber is mad – feels Eric is not being true to his allianc. Zach feels Amber is a floater.

Now we see Jessica having nominations remorse. She is crying because she feels she has nominated two people that don’t have a problem with her. Eric tries to do damage control saying Amber does not really like her (Jessica).

Amber comes in the HoH room with Jessica and Eric and says she wants to stay and brings up her never ending ‘good person should win’ argument. After she leaves Jessica says she wants Amber to stay – Eric say she will say the same thing about Zach after he talks to her.

Outside Zach talks to Dick. He is worried he is going. He says if he wins HoH he will nominate Jessica and Jameka and try to back door Eric. Dick says the only way he is going is is he finds out Zach has conspired with Eric and Jessica (he has of course).

Jameka and Amber try to convince Jessica that Eric is ‘playing’ her. She seems to be believing them. Jessica says if it is a tie she will save Amber. Jessica really seems to have her doubts about Eric – in the Diary Room (DR) she says she is very confused. Eric breaks them up and Amber says to Jameka that she has to secure Daniele’s vote.

Amber works on Daniele but Daniele doesn’t commit to anything.

As expected Eric gets America’s assignment and it is to get Amber out.

Eric talks to Jessica and grills her about what Jameka and Amber were talking to her about. Jessica breaks and pretty much tells Eric everything. Eric gets very mad. Badmouth’s Amber and all her talk of ‘good people’ and how she used to do drugs and other things and how could she ba a ‘good person.’

Dick talks to Eric and Jessica in the HoH room and exposes Zach’s plotting, Eric reveals that Zach has plotted with them too. Dick tells them that he is going to confront Zach about it and say he doesn’t want to talk to him any more.

Julie talks to the house guests.

She asks them about how it felt to get naked for the clothes competition. Jessica says it was a lot of fun.

Julie asks what Daniele would have said to Nick if she had seem him. She says she would have preferred not to know – she misses him.

Amber regrets going for the $100,000 but it was the experience of a lifetime.

Julie asks Dick about his spitting (a viewer question). Dick has no explination – says it is like walking and talking – he seems kind of uncomfortable.

Now a profile of Jameka and her religion – he pastor says they love her. Her older sister says when she is mad she will let people know and the fiery side comes out. She rooted for her sister when she saw the fight she had with Dick. She feels sorry for Dick. Jameka’s sister reveals Jameka has become an Aunt for the 3rd time while in the house and she doesn’t know it yet.

-COMMERCIAL-

Eric’s family and ‘girlfriend’ talk about Eric beign on the show. His brother Josh says it has been his life this summer. His brother Alex says Eric aligning with Dick was a good thing. They seem to be ok with the romance – Alex says it shows he has true interest.

Alex says that Eric had tried to get back together with his ex Cheryl right before the show and she had turned him down. His brother says she is not his g/f anymore and wasn’t before he went in the house.

Cheryl says you can’t help but be a little jealous, but she doesn’t imply she thinks he is cheating on her or anything. She is rooting for Eric.

Julie talks to Jessica. Jessica trusts Eric. Julie asks about the kiss, Jessica giggles and said it was crazy. Jessica doesn’t think she will be the first out if she, Eric, Dick and Daniele make the final four.

Last chance for Zach and Amber. Zach’s speech is very prepared – referring to all the things in the house – Alice in Wonderland related. Amber cries and says she holds nothing agains them if she goes.

Voting time. Three to evict.

Jameka – Zach

Eric – Amber – he has won $30,000 so far as America’s player.

Dick – Amber

Daniele – Amber

Amber evicted 3-1 Commercial before they tell her.

-COMMERCIAL-

Julie tells Amber she is evicted. Amber hugs everyone. She seemed to know it when the nymber was announced. She gives Daniele a long hug. She gives Jameka an even longer one. She wishes them all luck. Jameka is very upset.

Amber meets Julie – she is only sniffling a little. Back inside Jessica hugs Jameka.

She blames Eric for voting her out – she feels no one wanted to be next to her in the end.

Asked how she dtermines who is good – she mentions lies, being rude, negative energy.

Does she think God didn’t want her to win? She says no, she made mistakes.

Goodbye messages. Daniele is nice, as is Zach. Eric says he is sorry. Jessica says she is a good person. Dick says he hopes she understands and no more tears. Jameka says bye and it makes Amber choke up. Julie thanks her.

HOH Competition time.

The Hgs all walk out back and find giant tea pots.

-COMMERCIAL-

The Big Brother Tea Party. 55 gallons of Tea – them must transfer tea to another container at the other end of a platform and fill it up until they can reach a gold ball. The cup they have to do it with is tiny.

THIS IS AN ENDURANCE COMP OF A SORT – 600+ Trips to Fill it. The cup only holds 3 oz.

The floor is very slippery.

11:55pm Zach reveals that he plans to follow through on his plan that was shown on TV last night when talking to Dick. He will nominate Jessica and Jameka and if either comes off the block with the POV he will replace that person with Eric. Dick and Daniele are safe this week.

Zach in his HoH Room.

10:30pm No one really knows what Zach is going to do – he is in the DR right now waiting for his HoH room. Eric hopes that Jameka is his target. Of course Zach said to Dick that his target will be Jessica and Jameka. But he also said he would put up Dick and Daniele.

8:30pm Jessica and Jameka seem worried. I’m going to take a break and let things settle a little. They have mentioned 8 days of cold showers for everyone. Details are sketchy.

7:53pm Zach won HoH

7:47pm Just a matter of time now. There have also been envelopes – one involving a phone call home. Not sure whom if anyone has taken it – or what the cost to take it was.

7:30pm I’d say Dick is in second. Multiple cups now.

7:25pm They have gone to music several times. When they werre last on it appears they are allowing them to use more cups. So if you are holding out for the Showtime feed – I think it will be over in the next 90 minutes. Not sure who is in the lead now – although Zach seemed to be – with the extra cups the lead might change.

6:55pm I think Zach has lost a lot of his lead. Daniele seems to have realized a new way to carry the water that might get more in. I think Zach is still leading though.

6:45pm Correction to my last post – Jameka just announced that Dick is in second and Daniele in third. Hmm – I think her eyes are messed up.

Dick is the purple – Zach red – Daniele blue and Eric is the Orange.

6:40pm Zach still seems to be in the lead. Daniele and Dick are trailing and I think Eric is out of the hunt. Eric has fallen down several times.

6:25pm Zach seems to be in the lead. Daniele in second.

6:10pm Feeds are back. I will be limiting my updates to every 10-20 minutes until I think it will get close. My guess is they want this to end during ShowTime.

5:59pm The HoH competiton is kind of an endurance one – they have to fill a big container with a tiny cup. I’ll post a pic as soon as the feeds go back live. This should take HOURS to complete.

5:37pm Amber evicted 3-1

3:30pm Still trivia on all screens.

2:30pm Trivia just started. Dick was guessing they would do rehearsal around this time – looks like he was right. Might have it until after the show now.

1:45pm The mood in the house seems very light. I think Eric may have just told Jameka that Amber is indeed going home. ‘m not positive as I didn’t hear the details, but there was some hushed whispering between then. Now Jameka and Jess are eating while Zach and Eric talk.

1:20pm Amber is finally starting to get dressed and ready for the live show. Jessica have moved her stuff back to her old bed. Amber has talked to Jess and says she talked to Daniele but got no answer (on whom she was voting to evict). Zach told Jessica that he thinks Dick has been saying a lot of stuff but that he thinks he is still staying. If not he has had a good time.

12:10pm Lockdown ended at 12ish – Jameka and Amber went right back to cleaning the bathroom.

10:40am Now the upstairs lock down. I don’t think Eric or Jessica ever moved.

Right before everyone arrived Dick and Eric told Zach that they compared notes and realized he was telling both of them he would send the other home – so now they are going to vote him out tonight (This is just a ploy to rattle Zach so he doesn’t play well in the HoH tonight).

9:45am Everyone but Eric and Jessica seem to be up. No HoH lock down yet. Cleaning has begun.

9am Hgs are getting their wake up call I think. I just heard the beginning of “Love Shack” by the B-52s as all camera’s were on Jessica and Eric in the HoH bed.Today before the show will mostly be house cleaning – but first an hour or two locked up in the HoH room together as the crew does some work in the house. Replacing lights and such is my guess.

Important Stuff: Amber has really kicked it into high gear last night/ She wants to stay and wants to go after Eric if she does. She only has Jameka’s vote as far as I know but has Jessica’s promise that if it is a tie Jessica will vote Zach out. As of now I still think Amber is going.

11:55pm Hgs have been on an inside lock down and finally get to go out back and see what they have been building. It is a big rectangular area covered in black plastic.

10pm Amber is missing her daughter and Zach pissed her off by commenting that he wouldn’t be in the house if he had a child. Daniele is making cookies again (she did yesterday too).

9pm The Hgs had a catered dinner tonight. Then there has just been general chit-chat.

5pm Jessica did her HoH Blog and took pictures.

2:15pm Hgs got up and some went right back to bed. Right now Zack, Dick and Daniele seem to be the only ones up.

11:25am Hgs get their wake up call.

8:30am Looks like Eric and Jessica are finally falling asleep.

7:05am Eric continues to out himself – everything except the Amercia’s Player thing. Jessica seems to feel that the banner that was anti Eric now makes sense.

6:50am Eric is not admitting that he is America’s Player (he probably can’t), but he has certainly fessed up to a lot of the things he did in the house that were ‘odd.’ Jessica appears to be alright with it.

6:40am Eric is fessing up to the odd votes and even admits he did the mustard (to Jessica) – they have had quite the “make out” session this morning.

Daniele made cookies downstairs and talking to Amber says she thinks he b/f has dumped her and that she is still interested in Nick.

5:40am Eric spoke briefly with Daniele while out of the HoH room, re-affirmed that they wanted Amber out. Back in the HoH room Jessica still has her doubts it seems but I am sure by now Eric knows his vote will be to evict Amber as “America’s Player.” Amber and Daniele are talking in the kitchen.

4:45am After 3am Eric and Jessica were finally alone again and Eric is really ticked off that Amber and Jameka are pretending to be nice to him while working against him behind his back.

Jessica is mad at Eric and Eric is mad at Jessica, saying she is making up a ‘backup final 3′ on him. Eric goes on to explain he hasn’t had a real girlfriend in a year and she is the first one he has had feelings for. They fight a little but make up quickly (this is all over the course of a couple hours mind you).

Eric has hinted that Jessica isn’t aware of everything and that he can’t explain (seems to be planting the seeds for America’s Player for whenever it is revealed). Jessica picks up on it and presses Eric.

3am Jessica has told Eric about Amber still going after him. Zach and Dick stop by – apparently Dick fell in the pool while playing golf. At some point there is speculation (not when Dick is around) that Daniele’s b/f might have broken up with him since he didn’t go to NYC when Daniele was on the game show and something to do with a birthday card.

2am The beer ran out. Now back to campaigning. Zach informs Dick he wants Eric out next week (hmm seems to be a theme here, Amber wants the same thing). Dick tells Zach he is voting Amber out unless he hears Zach has tried to go against him (well gee – Dick already knows he has so that is Dicks out if he changes his mind). Dick also suggests that Zach go after Jameka and Jessica first.

Eric and Jessica get cozy.

Amber appeals to Daniele to vote Zach out.

1am The drinking has continued. Guys must assault the memory wall, girls must wear panties on their heads.

Big Brother 8 Episode #24 Recap
August 28th, 2007

Jessica nominates Amber and Zach.

OPENING CREDITS

Show begins with the aftermath of the Nomination Ceremony.

Amber is thinks that she is safe.

Zach feels Jessica lied to her when she said she could trust him. Zach says if he has a chance he will get her back.

Dick feels his alliance is steamrolling. Daniele is glad she wasn’t nominated and hopes she stays safe.

Amber prays to God in the Diary Room (DR) – that she is safe.

Daniele talks to Zach and says that he had to expect it sooner or later, Zach says he has to win POV or he may be going home.

Eric and Jameka talk to Jessica after the nomination ceremony. In the DR Jameka says she didn’t want Amber nominated.

Jameka tells Amber she can’t find out anything from Jessica – that she hasn’t been told Amber is safe. Amber tells Jameka that she feels she is safe, that she is being used as a pawn.

Outside it is the Eric and Jessica flirting show. They joke about being married. BB seems to imply it is more than a joke.

Church/praying theme with Jameka, we see her crying and praying in the HoH room, on her knees. She says they were not tears of sadness, she was being thankful. Jessica comes in and finds her. She talks to Jameka and hugs her. She tells Jameka she is totally cool with Jameka praying.

Zach talks to Jessica about being nominated. He offers reasons why Dick and Daniele might be a good target for a ‘back door.’ We get the feeling Jessica is considering a back door plan.

-COMMERCIAL-

Jessica reveals what Amber and Jessica did last week. The see the whole thing and Daniele finds out that Nick would have been the one to help her had she made the finals (she didn’t, Amber did).

We see Eric and Jessica’s first kiss. This was 6:50am on Sunday, before Eric got his assignment. You can read my recaps of the event and see a video of it on this page.

Players are picked for the POV competition. Everyone but Dick gets to play. Dick will host.

Before the POV competition Zach pulls Eric aside and suggests back dooring Dick and Daniele – Eric pretty much pretends he doesn’t know what is going on.

POV time. The back yard looks like a swamp and the theme has to do with rats.

This is like a competition last year where they had to dash around and find little dolls. They must find rats with the correct answers to questions asked by a big “cat” around their necks.

“Cat Scratch Veto”

Eliminated first – Jessica

Eliminated second – Jameka

Eliminated third – Daniele

Eliminated fourth – Zach (it was very close between Eric and Zach)

Eliminated fifth – Amber.

Eric wins the Power of Veto.

Later Dick and Daniele discuss the possibility of Eric and Jessica trying to ‘back door’ one of them. Dick says, “we have to get Jessica out.”

-COMMERCIAL-

Eric got his task from America – to kiss Jessica – and he admits he already did it ‘on my own terms’ but he says he will do it again. He then runs up and gives Jessica a quick peck.

Now we see Sunday night when in the HoH room, Amber asks Eric is she is safe – or if Eric will be using the POV to save her. Eric won’t commit, says he is respecting Jessica’s wishes as HoH.

Jessica comes in and Amber leaves, Jessica doubts the alliance with Daniele and Dick, Jessica says it might be the biggest mistake ever, and they might find themselves on the block next week. Eric doesn’t seem to want to use the POV to get Dick or Daniele nominated.

-COMMERCIAL-

POV meeting time. Eric considers his options.

Eric starts the meeting – he does his weird eyebrow thing as he talks – drives me bonkers. Amber and Zach seem to both imply they will respect his decision.

Eric rambles a bit and says he will not use it.

In the DR Amber and Zach are both mad that he didn’t use the POV.

Eric talks to America and says that he knew America wanted Amber out so he didn’t use it.
