Big Brother 8 Episode #13 Recap
August 2nd, 2007

Show begins with a recap from the previous week starting right with Mike’s eviction. Nick is shown as the scapegoat for the vote Eric made. Nick and Kail on the block - who will be evicted?

Opening Credits

Julie recaps yet again (we get it!).

The house reacts to Nick being nominated.

Nick in the Diary Room (DR) is suprised. Kail in the DR says Dustin had said Zach was going up so she is shocked.

AMBER ALERT! Amber cries about Nick being up.

Dustin talks to Kail and says Nick is playing both sides - he tells Kail that he has enough votes to get Nick out.

Nick confronts Daniele and says ‘you knew the whole time’ - she put her head in her hands.

In the backyard Nick asks Eric and Dick who knew and Eric says he heard many names (he and Dick lie to Nick - they all knew). Nick goes in and sees Amber while she cries. Nick thinks Amber didn’t know - but she did - she actually suggested it - Amber lies and implies she didn’t.

Daniele also says she knew (but she didn’t initially). Daniele implies that everyone thinks Nick voted to evict Kail and that is why he is up. Nick walks away and says it sucks that she (Daniele) knew the whole time and didn’t tell him.

Nick tells Dustin that it ‘took some balls’ to lie to his face and nominate him when he (Dustin) knew that he just wanted to be told up front.

Now it is time to see one of Dick’s many rants againts Jen. He accuses her of ‘using’ Jameka to save herself. As an example Dick tells her she is a good person in her own mind and Sadaam Hussein thought he was too.
Daniele is upset and Jen comes in the room and says to Daniele that she doesn’t know how she (Daniele) has put up with Dick all her life.

Ominous music plays as we watch Nick give himself a mohawk.

Fast forward 6 hours and we see the confrontation between Daniele and Jen where Dick pours a cup of tea over her heard. I wrote about it on this page (including video). They edited the video a lot. And they omit that Dick had been verbally going after Jen for 5-10 minutes right before that confrontation.

Will America’s player help Nick stay?

We see Amber talking to Nick (last night) - he thinks he has certain votes and says he is not going to campaign. Eric is now shown in the DR, he says he is ready to see Nick leave and we see him getting a faux hawk from Dustin.

Eric in the DR is told he has to vote our Kail. He shakes his head. He says he is disappointed and he will do his best. We then see several clips of Eric badmouthing Kail. To be honest - this was done for the camera, Eric was still working very hard to make sure Nick is the one going home. A s a matter of fact he was working even harder because he knew his vote was going to evict Kail.

Now we see Dick and Daniele regretting the agreement to vote out Nick. They know that Nick is more valuable to them than Kail.

Julie talks to the HGs. Hair talk - Nick’s mohawk and Eric’s fauxhawk.

Jen on the Iced Tead incident. Jen says, “Whatever” - Dick says he only wishes the glass had been more full.

Jameka - why did God want you to be in the house? Jameka says ‘wow, hopefully to win.’

Diary room entries - Zach, Jameka, Jessica.

Julie talks to Dustin.

Dustin regrets putting Jameka in the position of using the POV - but he is happy to have taken the prizes.

Dick’s method of intimidating the HGs goes a bit too far sometimes, but he takes the heat off of him.

Pleading their case:

Kail says she doesn’t take a week in the house for granted - looks forward to more good times inside or outside of the house.

Nick - I know the votes are kinda set in stone. To Daniele - I am smitten with you and thank you for the time we spent in the house.

-COMMERCIAL-

Eric - Kail (not his choice) - wow - Eric talked to America and asked them to target Jen and Kail again.

Jessica - Nick

Amber - Nick

Dick - Nick

Daniele - Nick

Nick evicted 6-2 - hugs and tears all around.

AMBER ALERT - Amber cries.

Back in the house Amber is crying and hugging Daniele.

Back outside.

Nick says it is up to Daniele if she pursues a relationship with Nick.

Nick thinks Jen was the odd vote. Julie reveals it was Eric. Nick says ‘that’s nifty ad expect the unexpected.’

Good byes from the HGs. Zach, Kail, Dick, Amber (AMBER ALERT - crying!), Daniele says they have a strong friendship.

We see a bunch of weird clocks outside in the backyard - like the ones from Alice falling down the rabbit hole in the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland.

HGs to the backyard.

“TIMES UP” Hgs must sit on a swing that Julie calls a ‘pendulum’ - if you fall off you are out.

They start swinging back and forth - some have strapped in a bit - some haven’t.

11:59pm Dick is convinced Eric was the mystery vote. Eric and Amber are now talking on the hammock, not necessarily a good thing when Dick thinks you are in a secret alliance. However Dustin and Jessica just spoke and they don’t buy that Eric was the vote.

11:30pm Eric is in serious trouble, turns out Dick and Daniele (and Jameka was the 4th Dustin was talking about) know what the banner said too. They think America ‘hates’ them for comparing them to the ‘nerd herd’ - they also think Amber and Eric have a secret alliance. Dick is SO mad - he storms around the backyard and recalls a lie Eric told in week one about sleeping when Dick knew he wasn’t. Jessica has also apparently lost her trust in Eric so he is in serious doo doo. The banner really screwed things up all around. NICE! (Sorry - I just like to see things mixed up).

10:25pm Those that saw the banner during the HoH competition - Eric, Dustin, Amber, Jessica and one other person I am not sure of. (Dustin said to Eric “the four of us and Jessica” and I know Amber saw it).

I will be willing to bet that CBS will not make ANY refernce to the banner because it disrupted the show. They might even have the next HoH competition inside so that it cannot be interfered with.

10pm The HGs did see the Banner that flew over during the blacked out portion of the HoH competition - or at least some of them did. Amber and Dustin were just discussing it. All Amber confirms is that is said Amber and Eric were liars. One report is that it said the following “We (heart) Nick…Amber and Eric are liars…LNC is Nerd Herd.”

Jameka is very mad a Dick for bringing up religion during the HoH competition.

9:30pm Most HGs eating. Jameka in the diary room, Amber near tears yet again in the big bedroom.

9pm Daniele still has to get her HoH room, and with that the letter - Dick says it better be from her boyfriend or he will raise hell.

Amber says there is a lot of ‘karma’ in the house - in reference to Jen probably leaving next. Dustin wants to do a ’slow clap’ when she is evicted.

8:50pm Hgs can all eat. There is lots of chatter going on. Apparently Jen is even more disliked for the talking she did with Daniele but Dick’s trashing of Kail was totally ok. At least no one is talking about that.

8:30pm So Daniele is the HoH and has promised Kail she will not go home. Dick says that means Jen is going home. They don’t know who did the mystery vote again. Everyone hugged afterward including Kail and Dick. Dick seems to be able to make up with everyone (except Jen) for the things he says. I have to be honest and say I really don’t like Dick anymore or the way he justifies his actions by apologizing to everyone afterwards. Here are a couple pictures.

8:12pm Daniele and Kail remain. Daniele swears Kail will not go home. Kail gets down. Daniele is HoH. Jen was indeed DQ’d for something it seems.

8:06pm Still nothing on the feeds. Still Water. Either Jen is eliminated - or the production staff is arguing with Dick.

8:02pm Jen apparently touched the bar with her hand - something that may be against the rules - Dick noticed it and called it out - feeds went to water and I am guessing Jen has been DQ’d.

7:55pm No change - they get sprayed every 5-10 minutes with the white stuff. Dick continues to hurl insults. Everyone else is somewhat neutral although it is obvious most are rooting for Daniele. Jen is not really being shown on cam - it is almost all Daniele and Kail for some reason.

7:45pm Dick has started insulting Kail’s religious beliefs which has upset Jameka. Jen and Daniele are going at it and Eric is upset and is tearing into Jen as well. It is getting very very nasty verbally.

7:40pm Sounds like people were disqualified for their heads being above the crossbar earlier -several of them just yelled that Kail was doing that - the producers must have come over the speaker with a ruling.

7:35pm I will post more pictures after - right now the site is getting hit too hard to have pictures. All three still up. Dick is being a real ass, insulting Kail almost non-stop. Jameka is encouraging them all.7:30pm Jessica is off.

7:20pm Dick is smack talking bit time - calling Jen a freak and saying Kail will not last. This reminds me of the spider web - the lightest person would seem to have the advantage and that is Daniele and Jessica.

Dick is the king of insults and smack he is saying very mean and cruel things to Kail and Jen and nice things to Jessica and Daniele.

7:15pm Only four remain. Daniele, Jessica, Jen and Kail

6:50pm Two rumors (that may be one and the same) - There may have been a banner plane - and there may be technical issues. If there was a banner plane - the HGs would have been herded into the house until it was gone. Perhaps until after dark.

6:48pm No Change. Very unusual. This is a CBS thing - Real has no control over content. They only pass on what CBS sends them.

6:35pm I have to assume something happened at the end of the show and that is why the feeds have not returned. At least one HG must already be off.

6:25pm I will update every 10 minutes or so until the feeds return. Still waiting.

6:15pm Still trivia. Perhaps a HG fell already - hopefully not.

6:10pm We still have Trivia. Pics and info as soon as the feeds return.

6:05pm Still have trivia on the feeds. The HGs are hanging upside down off ‘pendulums’ - upside down “T’s” - they have a strap to hold on to.
