Big Brother 8 Episode #14 Recap

Recap of the live eviction show.

Opening Credits

We see the conclusion of the HoH competition. In the Diary Room (DR) Kail says she knows she has to win. Dustin says he was feeling confident at the beginning.

Amber was the first out at 6 minutes.

Eric DQ’d for getting up too high at 9 minutes.

Jameka next out at 10 minutes.

Now a bit of retrospective on Nick being voted out. Those happy and those sad to see him leave.

Back to the endurance competition.

Wow - they showed the banner that flew over the house. “We (heart) Nick - Amber & Eric are liars - LNC is the Nerd Herd.”

It is obvious that the banner has an effect on the HGs. Eric is mad that something out of his control may have an influence on his standing in the game.

Zach out next at 32 minutes.

Dick out at 44 minutes.

Jessica out at the 59 minute mark.

Daniele, Kail and Jen remain.

-Commercial-

Back - we see Dick supporting Daniele. Kail in the DR says everyone was supporting Daniele and no one was supporting her (Zach was actually encouraging Daniele and some others were supporting everyone in general).

Dick goes after Jen and Kail verbally - telling Kail she has no one in the house, telling her she is a bad Christian (which upset Jameka). Jameka calls out Dick and says it was going too far.

Jen offers to not put Daniele up if she gets down - Daniele isn’t buying.

DIck yells at Jen and Jen fires back that Dick gave her info about Daniele. Eric blows up at Jen for bringing outside the house things into the game.

Jen then gets down - she actually was waiting to see ifshe was disquallified for touching the bar with her hand (not shown) and then her leg began cramping and since she was sure she was DQ’d she got down at the 91 minute mark.

Now the dealing between Daniele and Kail. Kail tries to get Daniele to get down - the best Daniele does is promise Kail she is safe - apparently she also says she will ‘back door’ Kail. Kail knows Daniele can last long because Daniele is able to fit her shoulder through the hand-hold because she is much thinner than anyone else. Kail gets down and Daniele wins HoH after 96 minutes.

Reactions - Dick says Daniele is kicking ass, Eric says he was happy Daniele got it because he is going to be under a microscope this week thanks to the banner.

Jen expects to be nominated, she hopes she is because the ‘third’ person nominated is the one that has been going home.

Now, post HoH - Daniele is crying, upset because she feels with the extrat - un-accounted for vote - Nick could have stayed.

Amber consoles Daniele in the small bedroom and asks who else voted for Nick. Amber says it wasn’t her.

The speculation runs through the house as to whom may have voted for Kail (besides Zach). Of course no one admits it. Dick says to the group that Daniele is really upset.

-COMMERCIAL-

Daniele gets her HoH room. Lots of pictures of Daniele and her boyfriend. A picture of Daniele and her grandmother (Dick’s mom) - Dick gets teary eyed in the DR.

Dick hugs Daniele and tells her she did good. Daniele says that she wishes Dick would have believe her. She believes that Eric is responsible - that seeing the banner made everything fall into place. That he was the leak (telling Kail things=being the leak - Dustin was the one telling Kail things).

Daniele continues that when it came to voting Nick out, everyone except Nick was on the fence and he was the one pushing for it.

Dick talks to Eric at the dining room table. Eric lists names and why they may have or may not have voted for Kail, including that is could not have been him.

Dick walks outside and rants to himself about how he knew Eric was lying.

Dick and Daniele pull Jessica into the HoH room and tell her that Eric was the one responsible for everything. In the DR Jessica says she was very confused because she is so close to Eric. They basically imply that they want to back door Eric. Jessica seems to be OK with the plan.

Jessica gets Eric aside and asks him if he made the vote - he swears he didn’t (technically he didn’t - “America” did). She fills Eric in that Dick and Daniele think Eric is in an alliance with Kail and he may be back doored this week. Jessica tells Eric he can’t say anything.

-COMMERCIAL-

Jen and Daniele try to patch things up a little. Jen says that she thinks it would be cool to be nominated 3 times in a row (she also does not want to be ‘back doored’ and not have chance to play for the POV). Jen says she is sorry for the way she has made Daniele feel.

Daniele asks Jen who she voted for - Jen answers Nick.

Jen leaves (ed - wow they left A LOT out of that convo. During that convo Daniele asked Jen is she would vote for whomever Daniele puts up in her place if she was of the block and Jen said yes - Jen also already knew at that point that Daniele suspects Eric and was planning on putting him up).

America’s Player - Eric must get Jen nominated. He is happy about that.

At the hammock Dick, Eric, Daniele and Dustin talk. Dick is furious that Nick was voted out - he believes that Nick was lying and that there is a ‘leak’ in the group. Eric chastises Dick for not trusting is own alliance and rips into Eric for it. Major drama ensues as Dick is furious that Eric is questioning him. Eric tells Dick to never yell at him, Dick doesn’t listen and keeps it up.

-COMMERCIAL-

Nomination time. Here is how the keys were pulled..

Dustin, Eric, Jameka, Amber, Dick, Jessica, Zach - Jen and Kail are nominated.

Neither are surprised - there is applause - it was all expected so it was a pretty light moment.

Kail in the DR says it takes some mental strength to be a pawn. Jen says she is having fun. Daniele says her plan is going to cause an uproar.

11:55am Dicks talk with Dustin went on for a very long time - Dustin was getting quite tired of it - several times Dick made the comment about how he never lies while the whole conversation was started on a lie (Dick saying he didn’t know Dustin suggested to Daniele she nominate Dick). That was about the only game talk going on.

10:30pm Dick is currently lying to Dustin (make a note of it since he says he never lies) - Dustin tells Dick that he asked Daniele if she might nominate Dick. Dick says that is the first he heard of it (lie - Daneile told him earlier tonight) - Dick turns it - says he was going to ask about Amber (chances are Dick was going to accuse him of the suggestion to Daniele and Dustin beat him to it). Dick claims that the truth is that he has done more for the ‘group’ than anyone else.

9:30pm Round and round, seems like I was here a few hours ago. Eric and Jessica are updating each other in the workout room and Daniele and Dick are doing the same outside. Daniele told Dick that Dustin suggested putting him up. Jessica, talking to Jameka earlier seems to still question Eric although she says she is still voting for Eric to stay if he is nominated.

7:45pm Amber has now gone up to talk to Daniele. Amber is near tears (AMBER ALERT!) and I am sure she will have her doubts about Eric when she leaves the room - because Daniele is SO angry when she talks to Amber. Amber keeps swearing she never lied to anyone in the house - good lord Amber - you have lied MANY times in the house - you lied to Nick about wanting him nominated. Here she goes…. Amber is almost on a full cry…. she claims because she is a good person people make her feel bad…. And…. We.. Have…. LIFTOFF! FULL AMBER ALERT!!

Daniele shows no sympathy and just grinds on how Eric was the one that is responsible for Nick being voted out. And Now Daniele turns it on herself and how bad it has been for her - that people DARE to suggest she put up her dad. No one comes up to visit her…. “HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL AMBER?”

7:30pm Dick and Amber are in one bedroom with Dick apparently trying to sway Amber to his side and pull her away from Dustin. Meanwhile Eric had a mini-pow-wow with Jessica and was later joined by Kail whom commented that Dick told her once that he claimed to have ‘mis-lead’ people but he never lied. Kail also swore to people outside earlier that she and Eric have never had an alliance.
