Big Brother 8 Episode #16 Recap
August 9th, 2007

Show begins with a whole weeks worth of recaps. Ends with Eric going up in Jen’s place.

Opening Credits

Julie recaps again – Day 41.

Jen saves herself – Daniele puts Eric up.

In the Diary Room (DR) Eric says Kail has no power so she is good to be against. Kail is very worried because everyone likes him. Daniele wants him out. Dick says they have three votes and need one more.

Outside Amber ’swears’ on her daughters life that he is safe.

Dick approaches Kail and Jen and makes amends in order to ger Eric out.

Dick then goes to Amber and tells her that Eric is threatening to drop a secret about her and her boyfriend (week one is shown in a flashback it turns out). Again in flashback we see Amber revealing the secret (not in complete detail) and then we see Ambers reaction to Dick telling Amber. It is obvious Amber is upset.

Amber tells Dustin what Eric has done and she says if she had not sworn on her daughter she would vote him out.

Fast forward to late Tuesday night where Dick and Daniele tag team Amber that she can’t keep Eric in. He implies she just needs to find someone else to cast the 4th vote. Dustin’s name is dropped. Dick says that if Dustin votes out Eric, he will promised not to nominate him for one week. Amber brings the ‘deal’ to Dustin. Amber says then she is voting out Eric. Dustin continues to try to talk to Amber – telling her to calm down. Dustin says he will vote Eric out so Amber can keep her word.

Then we see Amber’s confrontation with Eric that took place Wednesday you can watch the un-edited version on this page.

-COMMERCIAL-

Julie talks to the HGs. Asks Jameka how it was in the house when Amber blew up – she said it was emotional but it has all been worked out. Jameka says she would not have given up 5 weeks of HoH competition again. A viewer asks why Dustin wears the same t-shirt every day – he says he has 3 of them and he is consistent.

We see that many rock stars from the LA Scene do know Evel Dick. They say he is loyal and a good guy.

Julie talks to Daniele. Asked if things have improved, Daniele says she hasn’t spoken with him in a long time and it is a slow process. It is helping but there is a long way to go. About how Dick talks to women and others, she says she isn’t the same person as her dad and people are afraid to stand up to him and go to her. Is she sure Eric was the odd votes? She says you can’t be 100% but Eric is the biggest threat so she is making the right decision.

-COMMERCIAL-

Meet Kail’s husband – her husband said she was smart not to reveal too much. We see Dick bashing Kail, her husband says he understands why Dick does it, but he doesn’t like it. He thinks if Kail gets past this week she will go far.

HGs plead case.

Kail says it is never easy and she says thank you for keeping me and please give her another.

Eric says he thought they would all be strangers – but now he knows he was wrong – he hopes to stay and work on bonds and repairing things.

Kail evicted 4-3

Kail hugs everyone – Dick said something about ‘Liars’ under his breath. She heads out.

Back in the house Dustin says he kept his word and did not vote for Kail. Dick says, “The mystery vote again.”

Back to Kail and Julie – Kail does not believe Dick was just ’strategy’ – she thinks part of it was who he really is.

Goodbyes – Dick says something must have gone wrong. Dustin says that she has some growing up to do. Jen says that they will shop together. Jameka says her first alliance was her mistake. Daniele says she is sorry she broke her word (when these were recorded no one thought Kail would see them).

Head to head – things HGs have said in the Diary Room.

Dustin vs Eric – Eric Correct – Dustin Eliminated.

Dick vs Zach – Zach wrong – Zach Eliminated

Eric vs Jessica – Jessica correct – Eric Eliminated

Jen vs Dick – Dick wrong – Dick Eliminated.

Jessica vs Amber – Amber incorrect – Amber Eliminated

Jessica vs Jen – Jessica right – Jessica HOH.

As they go to commercial amidst the celebrating – looks like Dick is going up to Dustin again.

Back in the house Dick is confronting everyone it seems and they are not taking grief from him. Specifically Jameka is going after Dick for things he has said. Looks pretty nasty as the show ends.

Tonights America’s Players Vote – Who must Eric get nominated? – Link To Voting Page – voting ends at 3am Eastern.

11:15pm Jameka, Dick went at it for what seemed like an hour. Dick constantly bashing Jameka, pretty much implying her ‘Christianity’ is a crock and she is a terrible example of a Christian. He also said she would never find a man to marry her. And that was the nice stuff. Mind you Jameka gave it right back to him, noting that Dicks daughter and mother are both Christians – and repeating it over and over (I’ll get a youtube clip or two in a while).

Amber also joined in from time to time, with dick calling her fat, and implying he raised her daughter while high. Oh and thats when they got into Dick’s parenting skills, or lack thereof. I’ll tell ya, there is more video from that fight than CBS will know what to do with.

Everyone else pretty much stayed clear of the argument, with Jessica and others watching from the Diary Room and some outside at the hot tub. At one point Dustin did say something to Daniele who spent 99% of the evening sacked out in the round bedroom.

Finally at 10:49pm (she announced the time) Jameka said Dick no longer exists to her in the house and stopped engaging him.  We’ll see how long that lasts.

8:55pm Amazingly calm, mostly because Dick has stayed holed up with Daniele in the round bedroom. Jessica got her room and a letter which she just finished reading.

7:05pm Dick is alone with Daniele so there haven’t been many fireworks. Dick thinks he will be going out next. Dustin and Amber celebrated in the work out room.

6:15pm Dustin admitted he voted Kail out – he said he only lied to mess with Dick’s head. Dick said it shows Dustin is a liar.

6:10pm Feeds are back – things seem to have calmed down. Everyone is inside.

6pm Just waiting on the feeds to kick in – when the show ended Dick was going toe to toe with Dick over things Dick had said about the way she plays the game.

5:50pm Jessica new HOH

5:39pm Kail evicted 4-3

5:35pm With Jessica’s vote to evict Kail it looks like she will be going. Others have to vote but that shows the plan to evict Kail is a go.

5pm Showtime I’m recapping tonight’s show on this page live.

3:15pm Feeds were back for about 60 seconds – but all I saw was Jen in her bunny suit sleeping on a round bed.

3pm Still Trivia on the feeds which means they are probably still rehearsing.
