As late as 11:59pm Wednesday I was convinced that Eric had no chance in the house, he had spoken with almost every house guest and I didn’t see any indications that he was staying in the house.

But once Amber emerged from a long Diary Room session there was a glimmer of hope.

As I expected, the production staff apparently did a lot of talking to Amber about the reasons she might want him to stay. Dustin and Jameka had also decided that the numbers were better for them to keep Eric and vote Kail out.

Kail can’t compete for HoH, and Eric has promised to only go after Dick and Daniele. He also reminded everyone that he has little or no chance of winning after the way Amber ripped into him yesterday in front of the house.

Dustin and Jameka managed to convince Amber to keep Eric and they woke Jessica and filled her in on the plan.

As of Thursday morning, Eric, Dick and Daniele were not aware that the others had decided to change the vote, they all assume Eric is going. If Dustin, Jameka, Amber and Jessica can keep it quiet (and follow through ) until the live show tonight it should be a show for the Big Brother Archives. Not since Michelle was evicted second on Season Four has there been a truely surprising eviction to most of the house guests (In that case Michelle was voted out and Erika stayed, Justin, Jee and Robert were dumbfounded).
