Big Brother 8 Episode #17 Recap
August 12th, 2007

Show is delayed by 10 minutes or so because if football.

After the opening credits we see Kail leave. Dick in the Diary Room (DR) says he got out played. Daniele says she was lied to, Eric says it was great knowing his friends had his back.

While the HGs wait to compete in the HoH Dick goes off a bit about being lied to.

Now the replay of Jessica winning HoH. Eric and Dustin are so excited. Daniele says they got played and lied to. Dick says he knows he and Daniele are going up on the block but there is still some damage he can do.

Dick starts going off on people – most specifically Jameka and Dustin in the back yard while waiting to get back in the house. It goes on and on and round and round with the emphasis on Jameka as it continues.

In the DR Zach says Dick got duped and the peasants are revolting.

Back in the house finally Eric hugs Jameja and thanks her for keeping him, says they will have a safe week in the HoH room and not to let Dick get to her. Dick approaches her and she says she doesn’t want to talk. The segment ends with Jameka on the upper level praying and BB cues the organ music.

-COMMERCIAL-

Dick and Daniele talking alone. Daniele crys and says she hates being here and she hates ‘these’ people. Seems the producers are very sympathetic towards her as they play soft soothing music.

Jessica talks about nominations with Amber and Jameka – she considers Jen and Dick.

Jessica gets her HoH room. Then Dick and Daniele talk and Dick tells her thatif they are put up against each other he will make sure that he goes by making everyone hate him.

Now comes the moment talked about from Thursday night – Dick, Jameka and Amber go at it. You can see it unedited on this page. Jameka informs did that he no longer exists to her.

Cut to Amber praying out loud in the HoH room. Now Big Brother gives her organ music as well.

-COMMERCIAL-

Daniele and Jen talks, Daniele gives Jen her word she has her back. In the DR she says she needs to get Jen to work with her. Jen says she wasn’t happy they didn’t click in the beginning.

Food Competition – two teams 4 & 4 – Dustin, Dick, Jen and Daniele – Red. Eric, Amber, Jameka and Zach – Blue.

They walk into the back yard and find hundreds of guitars – there are $ signs and Slop signs in them – they must be smashed to reveal the contents – the team that gets 20 $ first wins. There is also a one week slop pass. The red team smashes more but they get more slop. Dick gets the one week slop pass. Blue team ends up winning 20-12. Dick is told he can give the slop pass to someone if he wants and he gives it to Jen as a way to get her in better with Daniele.

-COMMERCIAL-

Zach and the Bunny Suit. He was quite into wearing it. Jessica enjoyed watching Zach, Amber liked it too. Many many shots of Zach in his bunny outfit.

America tells Eric to try to get Dustin nominated. Eric is not pleased. However Dustin is shown suggesting that he be put up as a pawn against Dick. Eric runs with the idea but its only half-hearted. He bad mouths Dustin a little but in reality this is just Eric performing as required.

Nominations….. Here is the order the keys were pulled….. Jameka, Jen, Eric, Amber, Zach, Dustin – Dick and Daniele nominated.

Daniele says she nominated them because they tried to get Eric out last week and so now she is making her nominations.  She says they have the opportunity to save themselves.

In the DR Jessica says she is really going after Daniele.  Dick says he will make eveyrone miserable.

10:20pm Dustin tells Jameka that he came into the house planning to work on his arrogance and pride. Guess what Dustin, you have a long way to go.

He is still considering asking Jessica to put him up if Dick uses the POV to save Daniele. If he does, America may very well tell him to vote Dustin out.

10:15pm I am outta here but a few quick things…

Amber is convinced Eric has a secret alliance working with Jen (I don’t see it).

Amber, Jameka and Dustin think that Dick may not save Daniele with the POV, Eric thinks he will (as do I).

Jessica talked to Zach in a little one on one about the game which was the first time I had seen her do that.

Dustin knows Dick has taken some of his things – other are now worried.

Jameka noticed Daniele has M&M’s under her bed and wonders if she is cheating on her slop diet.

And the picture above of Zach? He is fascinated with glasses it appears

8:20pm Dick is back outside now and sometime in the future he wants to get away from all microphones to tell Daniele something.

8pm I am sorry to report that there has been no major action at all today. Normal every day stuff with the occasional trash talk behind peoples back tossed in and a little strategy. Daniele and Zach sit on the pato are and Jen, Eric, Jessica and Dustin are in the hot tub. Amber and Jameka are working out – I assume Dick is in the Diary Room.

6pm Would you believe Daniele has only been up for an hour or so? Talk about sleeping in!

5:05pm Big Brother delayed due to football I am guessing. It will start in 10 minutes or so.

4:45pm Have we missed any drama? Dick blowing up? I think the most exciting thing that has gone on this afternoon has been Dick burning his slop that was in the oven. Made a mess from what I read.

1:02pm Dick is the only one up so far – he has talked to the camera a bit talking about how he ran into Daniele at the open casting call and he had been a finalist for Season’s 5 and 6 (we already knew all that anyways). Wait – Zach is up now as well – he just started working out.

10am Can you believe no one is up yet? It’s true. Not that there is anything scheduled for the say and it seems that Dick will probably use the POV on Daniele followed by JEssica putting up Zach. I’d expect Dick to work on sowing the seeds of doubt among Jessica, Eric, Amber, Jameka and Dustin – to see if he can get any of them to break away and team up with Daniele before they are voted out by their own alliance.

8:30am All is calm in the house. No pots banging, not yelling, just sleeping people.

5:40am Everyone has been sleeping since 3:30am and I doubt there will be any rush to get them up. Jameka, Amber and Jessica are all piled in the HoH bed. Dick is in his usual bed. I don’t expect another performance like yesterday morning.

12am-4am Dick has now stopped totally harassing the four (Jameka, Dustin, Eric and Amber) but he is still working on them mentally. He talks at Dustin and Jameka, since they are pretty much ignoring him. Telling Dustin how he will be next next week, still giving Jameka grief about things she yelled Thursday night (about Dick’s mom).

Later on Dick and Daniele have more strategy talk – a lot of circular strategy talk.

Jameka and Amber have joined Jessica in the HoH room for the night to avoid dealing with Dick.
