Big Brother 8 Episode #19 Recap
August 16th, 2007

Recap of previous shows. Dick and Daniele nom’d, Dick wins POV, Dick saves Daniele, Dustin goes up in his place.

Opening Credits.

Julie re-tells all the goings on and builds it up like Dick may be going home. Honestly – its is built up like Dick is making the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter.

Dick says there is still a chance he may stay and Dustin is shown being cocky and arrogant in the Diary Room (DR).

Dustin talks to Jessica in the Head of Household (HoH) room. In the DR again Dustin is shown being cocky saying he got people out and now Daniele will have nothing with Dick gone.

Eric meets with Jessica and apologizes for avoiding her earlier (his America’s Player thing). He says he is sorry he was sick and was sorry for not helping her with her decision on whom to put up.

Outside Zach and Jessica have a ‘date’ and discuss the votes. Jessica says if it is 3-3 she may vote out Dick and Zach provides reasons why she may want to keep him. Zach gives Daniele his word that he will vote out Dick – and in the DR he says he will only change his vote if Jessica tells him to.

Eric finds out whom to go after for eviction. He is disappointed, but not surprised to find out he is supposed to go after Dustin.

He goes to the HoH room and starts talking to Jessica (this was late Tuesday night). BB implies that there is a lile romance going between them – the whole time Eric is talking about possible voting out Dustin.

The next day (yesterday), Dick proposes a 4 person alliance – Dick, Daniele, Eric and Jessica, he promises Eric to be loyal to the end.

Late last night, after a long visit to the DR (Not shown of course but where I feel Eric was reminded he was supposed to try to get Dustin out) Eric strongly talks about teaming up with Dick and Daniele – that they are stronger than Dustin, Amber and Jameka. Jessica seems somewhat receptive.

-COMMERCIAL-

Julie talks to the HGs live. Dick says he doesn’t know what he would have done week #2 but he didn’t have to worry about it. Daniele says she doesn’t know if she would have done the same thing this week. Jen was happy and thankful that she got the slop pass from Dick. Julie asks Amber if she wants to say anything to her daughter – or course she does and she cries while saying hi to her daughter.

We get to see Joe talk about Dustin from outside the house. He says it is entertaining to watch Dustin spiral down with his selfishness. His arrogance is pointed out time and time again. Joe says he is excited to see it pointed out for everyone to see (wow they are really building Dustin up to be a bad guy – hmmmmm – wonder why – lol).

HGs talk about the nominees in the DR – yadda yadda – as always it is designed to keep you confused as to who might be going.

-COMMERCIAL-

Julie talks to Jessica. She explains she was crying before the POV because she was afraid Dustin and Eric had a secret alliance. She trusts Eric and Jameka the most. She has had no reason to doubt them. Asked about her feelings towards Eric, she says she is trying to stay focused on the game but maybe after they get out of the house.

HGs plead their case – Dustin says it has been fun, Dick says he is sorry Carol is not there to giver him a kiss goodbye.

Voting time.

Amber: Dick

Eric: Dustin (Erics comments imply that Dick will be staying).

Jameka: Dick

Daniele: Dustin

Dustin Evicted 4-2

Dustin was obviously shocked. He hugs Jameka, Amber and Jessica and heads out the door. He meets Julie and the camera goes back inside where we see the reaction. Jameka and Amber are very upset.

Outside Julie reminds Dustin he was SO sure that he was staying, Dustin says he put his faith in people and he was wrong. Dustin says he got a bit worried this afternoon. It almost seems that Julie is trying to rub it in his face. On Amber yelling at Eric last week, Dustin said she might have done better one on one.

Good byes – Dick says he pulled off the biggest coup in history. Eric seems to imply something must have gone wrong in the vote. Zach mentions Dustins arrogance. Amber cries and says she loves him so much.

Julie says she will see Dustin on September 18th on the finale (that is a Tuesday).

Julie reports the power is up for grab – Jessica and Jameka can’t compete.

On staying, Dick is amazed, Amber is upset and Julie cuts her off as she tries to explain why.

Next Eviction is next Thursday – so no double eviction this week.

11:59pm The day ends with Jen in the HoH room with Dick and Daniele telling them that it was obvious the production staff wanted Dick to stay.  Dick does thank her for voting for him but doesn’t seem to make any promises (of course not, cause she is their target).

Dick had a talk with Amber and Jameka and told them that Dustin was responsible for a lot of things that he put on Eric, he also tells them that up until Thursday there was no plan to get Dustin out – Dick was taking a ‘whatever happens happens.”    After he leaves Amber and Jameka talk and Amber pretty much pegs it when she says Eric and Daniele made a deal with Dick and Daniele.

Eric put on a dress as a payoff for a “beer pong” bet. He went on to play more “beer pong” in the dress.

10:20pm Dick and Daniele outside – just more talk about back dooring Jen. Exactly as described before – nominate Amber and Jameka and then keep Jen from winnig the POV.

Dick specificly says he thinks Jen needs to go because he feels Jen has ties with Eric.

9:30pm Jameka talking to Amber – apparently Jessica told Jameka right before the show started and she could not tell Amber because they had to sit down. Jameka says Eric and Jessica both mentioned ‘the group’ (including Jen and Zach) which bothers Jameka because she didn’t think Jen and Zach were in any ‘group.’

Amber completely gets it by guessing Dick and Daniele have an agreement with Eric and Jessica not to put each other up.

9:23pm I’ve been watching the feeds non-stop, but there hasn’t been too much to report, they are currently finishing dinner. Amber seems more somber than Jameka, I have a feeling a breakdown is coming – if not tonight then tomorrow night after nominations is my guess.

Daniele got into her HoH room and there was a letter from Nick. It wasn’t terribly personal – she laughed as she read it – and told others they could read it later.

Jameka and Jessica had a chat about what went on. Jameka and Amber had no clue the vote was going against Dustin – or rather they were worried but were never told. Jameka says she is not mad at Jessica.

7:45pm -Chinese food in one hour. They have hung a tarp over the back yard again, I think they will do it before every live show not to prevent any other banners from being seen when the HGs are out back during the show.

Daniele burned her hand somehow and they think she maynot be able to compete if there is a food competition.

Dick, Daniele are very happy of course. Dick is still surprised – he thought his chances were 80/20 – Daniele said she thought it was 50/50.

Dick and Daniele think that Eric is involved with the show – as in he has a special connection with the show. When they started talking about this the cameras went to the water tunnel.

Amber seems to be taking things better than expected, Jameka isn’t, she was hardly talking to anyone and is now sleeping.

6:10pm A few pictures from the feeds.

6:05pm Feeds just came back – HGs are rehashing the competiton I know this much. Daniele is NOT as loyal to Eric and Jessica as Dick. She is more loyal to Zach – or was last night. Last night Daniele said if she got HoH she would want to nominate Jameka and Amber and they back door Jen. Eric and Jessica will not like that idea.

5:52pm Daniele won HoH

5:45pm Dustin Evicted 4-2 – he was shocked to say the least. I’m recapping tonight’s show LIVE on this page.

4:45pm Its been trivia the whole time – looks like they want to keep us in the dark so we still won’t be sure, but I’d say Dustin is getting evicted in less than an hour.

2:30pm I still think he’s going – Trivia on the feeds at the moment.
