Big Brother 8 Episode #21 Recap
August 21th, 2007

Need I say it? Show begins with a recap of Dustin being evicted, and Daniele nominating Amber and Jameka.

Post nomination reactions…..

Diary Room (DR) comments - Jameka does not buy Daniele’s excuse. Amber says she will prove ‘good people’ can win this and she will.

Eric says, “sorry I thought it would be me.” In the DR Jameka says it was a slap in the face.

Daniele tells Jameka if she wants to talk she is there for her, she is surprised Jameka is taking it so hard.

Jen and Jessica talk about Dick staying, that she wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to keep Dick. She is wondering whom Daniele might put up if someone wins the POV and Jessic plays dumb (she knows Jen is Daniele’s target).

Eric and Jessica flirting….. Zach comes in and breaks it up - in the DR Zach says he likes to block Erics attempts with the ladies and we see him do just that.

Outside Amber says she is done with Jessica and Eric (as friends), Amber says that Jameka is a pan because she can’t play for the next three HoH’s and people want her gone. But Amber says she saw a vision of her (Amber) winning the POV this week.

Big Brother skips the corny organ music this time.

-COMMERCIAL-

America’s player time - Eric must give his ‘woobie’ to Jessica. He sneaks it to her late at night (early Monday monring) and tells her all about it and gives it to her. He tells her to give it a new name and she isn’t to tell people whom she got it from. Mission accomplished.

Zach and Daniele complain about everyone else in the house. Then they discuss Jen and obviously this is planting the seeds to get rid of Jen (well not really - Daniele has planned to have her out all week).

POV time - the top two win a trip. Names are selected to play with Daniele, Amber and Jameka. Selected to play - Daniele picks Dick, Amber picks Jessica, Jameka picks Zach. Eric doesn’t play again and he is mad. Jen is mad she doesn’t get to play either. Eric will host.

-COMMERCIAL-

Big Brother Speedway (POV comp) - CBS had a survey and the participating HGs had to guess the results. The participants sat on motorcycles and the results were shown on a giant speedometer.

In the end Daniele won POV and Amber took second.

Amber is worried that Daniele won’t take her off the nomination block and sad that Jameka won’t go on the trip with her.

-COMMERCIAL-

Daniele tells Dick that she wants to tell Amber she will take her off is she promises not to nominate her next week if she wins HoH (She plans on doing it anyways).

Amber talks to Jameka about the possibility of the same thing. Jameka warns her to be care and to not swear on her daughters life - Amber says she can’t do that.

Amber asks Daniele about a deal. Daniele proposes her being safe next week - Amber gives Daniele that and promises Daniele she is safe safe safe - that she will even vote Jameka out if Daniele wants - and she swears on her daughter as well. What isn’t shown is Daniele telling Amber that Jen is the target (edited out).

Dick goes to Eric about back dooring Jen - Eric says it isn’t his first choice but he agrees since it is a new alliance.

-COMMERCIAL-

POV Meeting. Jameka says she would like to be safe but is sure Daniele has a plan. Amber starts to cry explaining that she will respect Daniele’s decision.

Daniele says that there are strong competitors in the house and she has decided strategically to save Amber, she places the POV symbol on Amber, then she nominates Jen - saying she is a big competitor and implying that Jen is not really there to try to win.

In the DR Daniele says that Jen is going home after her fourth time on the block.

Amber and Daniele find out they are going to New York City. They will be on Power of Ten (heh - someone told me this). We see a promo for the Power of Ten (as of 7pm BB Time Amber and Daniele are not back yet - they left about 24 hours ago).

Amber and Daniele were in NYC appearing on “The Power of Ten” - they are not back yet.

11:55pm Finally Amber and Daniele return.  They say they can’t go into details  about their trip yet - only that they went to NYC.

Zach revealed that he saw Eric pull the ‘woobie’ out of his bag so he knows it isn’t Jessica’s.

Earlier Eric had joked about locking Jen in the  bathroom, but he actually shoved a wedge in the sliding door of the round bedroom to lock Jen in there - BB told him to stop and he removed it.

9:50pm Still no sign of Amber and Daniele - there is speculation that they are being de-briefed on the situation with Jen and her penalty. Jen is still isolating herself (not that anyone is making an effort to talk to her).

8:30pm Everyone but Jen finished eating and Zach has gone to bed. Jen is off somewhere by herself. I still find it funny how Dick is again getting away with completely verbally harassing another house guest without the slightest comment from anyone else.

She just went by on the way to the rest room and Eric has suggested locking her in. Pile on Eric! Pile on

7:20pm There was no Penalty Nomination. Based on what Dick has said they apparently changed their mind. Jen found a ‘loophole’ in the rules that allowed her to get away with eating this week. That is why people have told Jameka she should eat as well and probably why Zach said she was a cheater. I think the loophole might have had to do with being taunted with food. However she has been assessed a penalty vote for the cigarettes I think.

Dick just went off on Jen saying he and they others are playing with ‘integrity’ - I guess banging a pot over Dustin’s head, throwing Dustin’s t-shirt on the roof of the Big Brother house, hiding Jen’s competition gloves weeks ago, and pouring Tea over he head was all done with “integrity.” Pot - meet Kettle - lol.

Dick also tossed the food Jen was preparing across the room, saying no one wanted to eat with her.

5:40pm Zach has told Jameka that he does not respect ‘cheaters’ (implying Jen) and he will be voting to evict Jen on Thursday. He also says Daniele has played a great game. I dunno if i agree with that - but that will be another post closer to the end.

4pm Jen has been getting the silent treatment for the most part from the other HGs when I have seen her near the others. From the sounds of the other HGs it appears Jen will automatically have one vote cast against her - meaning a total of six votes instead of five. Dick says it makes no matter, that she will just be voted out 6-0 as opposed to 5-0. There must be some other penalties involved because Dick and Eric seem to feel it isn’t worth keeping Jen in the house now where it was before.

Currently we get to watch hgs sleeping or trying to sleep on all four feeds. Amber and Daniele have still not returned.

1:45pm For the last 45 minutes or so the HGs have been getting explanations about the penalty nomination for Jen and everything that has gone on in the last 12 hours while we watched trivia. Afterwards Eric talks as if it is beyond any doubt that Jen is going home Thursday, perhaps the idea to evict Jameka has been quashed?

1pm Everyone is up and locked down outside. Dick suspects it is so they can repair the storage room door. Amber and Daniele have still not returned.

For a little while Dick and Eric moaned and groaned about the messed up rules and how Jen seems to be getting away with things that Kail was told she couldn’t do (eating).

I think the difference is that Jen didn’t ask about eating - she just grabbed the food and started munching last night.

11:30am Jessica, Jen and Zach are up. I am sure the others will be up soon. No sign of Amber and Daniele yet.

10:50am Still Dick all by his lonesome. And as soon as I type that - he goes back to bed in the HoH room.

10:15am Dick is the only one up — whooops! Now Jen is too.

Jen went to the bathroom and then back to bed.

5am Everyone is sleeping, Daniele and Amber are still gone. Below Jen sleeps in her bed and Dick sleeps in Daniele’s. Scroll down to read more about the penalty nom and its implications.

12am-2:40am It was a really early night for the house. After midnight things remained mostly calm. Jen continues to eat and told Jameka she felt bad that her talking about the penalty nom implied she wanted to stay in the house and that people should now vote Jameka out.

The full details of the penalty nomination will be clarified in the morning it seems but they know enough that Zach, Eric and Dick seriously want to consider voting Jameka out. The plan hatched by Zach and Dick before they went to bed is as follows:

• They would vote Jameka out this week.
• They would all throw the HoH competition to Amber.
• No matter whom Amber nominated, they would vote Jen out since she would also be nominated via the penalty.
• Amber would be unable to compete in the next HoH so they would all target her for the next eviction.
• Zach, Dick, Daniele, Eric and Jessica would be the final five.
