Big Brother 8 Episode #24 Recap
August 28th, 2007

Jessica nominates Amber and Zach.

OPENING CREDITS

Show begins with the aftermath of the Nomination Ceremony.

Amber is thinks that she is safe.

Zach feels Jessica lied to her when she said she could trust him. Zach says if he has a chance he will get her back.

Dick feels his alliance is steamrolling. Daniele is glad she wasn’t nominated and hopes she stays safe.

Amber prays to God in the Diary Room (DR) - that she is safe.

Daniele talks to Zach and says that he had to expect it sooner or later, Zach says he has to win POV or he may be going home.

Eric and Jameka talk to Jessica after the nomination ceremony. In the DR Jameka says she didn’t want Amber nominated.

Jameka tells Amber she can’t find out anything from Jessica - that she hasn’t been told Amber is safe. Amber tells Jameka that she feels she is safe, that she is being used as a pawn.

Outside it is the Eric and Jessica flirting show. They joke about being married. BB seems to imply it is more than a joke.

Church/praying theme with Jameka, we see her crying and praying in the HoH room, on her knees. She says they were not tears of sadness, she was being thankful. Jessica comes in and finds her. She talks to Jameka and hugs her. She tells Jameka she is totally cool with Jameka praying.

Zach talks to Jessica about being nominated. He offers reasons why Dick and Daniele might be a good target for a ‘back door.’ We get the feeling Jessica is considering a back door plan.

-COMMERCIAL-

Jessica reveals what Amber and Jessica did last week. The see the whole thing and Daniele finds out that Nick would have been the one to help her had she made the finals (she didn’t, Amber did).

We see Eric and Jessica’s first kiss. This was 6:50am on Sunday, before Eric got his assignment. You can read my recaps of the event and see a video of it on this page.

Players are picked for the POV competition. Everyone but Dick gets to play. Dick will host.

Before the POV competition Zach pulls Eric aside and suggests back dooring Dick and Daniele - Eric pretty much pretends he doesn’t know what is going on.

POV time. The back yard looks like a swamp and the theme has to do with rats.

This is like a competition last year where they had to dash around and find little dolls. They must find rats with the correct answers to questions asked by a big “cat” around their necks.

“Cat Scratch Veto”

Eliminated first - Jessica

Eliminated second - Jameka

Eliminated third - Daniele

Eliminated fourth - Zach (it was very close between Eric and Zach)

Eliminated fifth - Amber.

Eric wins the Power of Veto.

Later Dick and Daniele discuss the possibility of Eric and Jessica trying to ‘back door’ one of them. Dick says, “we have to get Jessica out.”

-COMMERCIAL-

Eric got his task from America - to kiss Jessica - and he admits he already did it ‘on my own terms’ but he says he will do it again. He then runs up and gives Jessica a quick peck.

Now we see Sunday night when in the HoH room, Amber asks Eric is she is safe - or if Eric will be using the POV to save her. Eric won’t commit, says he is respecting Jessica’s wishes as HoH.

Jessica comes in and Amber leaves, Jessica doubts the alliance with Daniele and Dick, Jessica says it might be the biggest mistake ever, and they might find themselves on the block next week. Eric doesn’t seem to want to use the POV to get Dick or Daniele nominated.

-COMMERCIAL-

POV meeting time. Eric considers his options.

Eric starts the meeting - he does his weird eyebrow thing as he talks - drives me bonkers. Amber and Zach seem to both imply they will respect his decision.

Eric rambles a bit and says he will not use it.

In the DR Amber and Zach are both mad that he didn’t use the POV.

Eric talks to America and says that he knew America wanted Amber out so he didn’t use it.

Important Stuff: “Power of 10″ tonight @ 8pm right before Big Brother’s 24th episode. Nothing major in the house today - Jessica is having nomination remorse but it is a bit late to change that.

11:55pm Mostly quarters and drinking and silly rules - although Amber is still working on Jessica - actually pulling her aside in the workout room briefly. Guys all had to kiss each other after losing.

11pm Amber and Jameka really work on Jessica - they imply Eric has a side deal with Dick and Daniele and that he isn’t playing for Jessica - he is playing for himself. Jessica admits she didn’t want Amber r Zach to go and he is mad that Eric didn’t use the POV. This went on for almost an hour. The drinkers downstairs are making up rules and one of them forces Zach to go upstairs to imply something ‘fishy’ is going on.

Jessica has told Amber that if it is a tie she will keep Amber. (Problem is I am sure ‘America’ will tell Eric to vote Amber out and DIck and Daniele will as well, so Amber will most likely go home.

10pm Amber and Jameka talk in the HoH bedroom, Amber has decided if she stays she is targeting Eric, feels eric is the root of all the problems with their alliance. Is going to work on convincing Jessica (just like Jameka has been) Jessica enters the HoH room. Meanwhile quarters has started downstairs.

Zach and Dick watch a bat in the back yard. Dick and Dani have yet another argument.

9:15pm Hamburgers and Hot Dogs for dinner. HGs have 24 beers tonight. Looks like another night of drinking games.

8pm Amber and Zach are both semi-campaigning - I really don’t see it going far but what else is there to do right now?

7:15pm Jessica and Eric are taking a bath.

6:20pm AHH - they did see the show yesterday like I suspected (revealed on tonight’s TV show).

5:35pm Amber is out bak talking to Dick - Zach is talking to Jessica in the HoH room. Lots of campaigning going on it seems.

5:27pm Amber missed her third question and only won $1,000. Back to the live feeds.

5:20pm Amber answered her first two questions correctly - or rather she guessed the correct range. Commercial at the moment.

5:10pm I’m watching “Power of 10″ - Amber just kicked Daniele’s butt. That’s why Daniele didn’t get to see Nick, because she didn’t beat Amber.

4-4:30pm Amber seems to think she may be safe this week. I honestly have not clue at the moment. Eric has promised to let her know what is going on on Thursday.

They will be having dinner after the ’show airs’ - they may be watching Power of 10 tonight. I thought that they might have watched it last night but I guess not.

2:30-4pm Amber showed up in the HoH room around 3pm and proceeded to ask to be saved, made promises that she doesn’t hold Dustin’s eviction against them, likes that as people, yadda yadda. After she leaves Jessica says she wants to keep Amber but Eric says Amber probably has deals with Dick and Daniele and she has tried to cause trouble for them. (images by Ducky @ TVClubhouse)

2:30pm Haircut for Zach by Jameka. Jessica and Eric up in the HoH going over nominations and Eric re-assuring Jessica that it will be ok.

1pm Jessica is having doubts about her nominations, feels it was a weak move, that perhaps she should have been bolder. She and Eric hope that Dick and Daniele stick to their word.

12pm Wake up call for the HGs.

11:15am Everyone is still sleeping!

8:30am No change - the HGs will most likely be allowed to sleep in today since there isn’t much to do between now an the eviction show on Thursday.

7:30am Everyone is sleeping - Dick was the last to bed around 4am (pictures below by Debra from TVClubhouse).

2am-4am - To be filled in later!

12am-2am Big Brother called each HG into the DR. I really think they saw Power of 10 Monday night and they are being pulled in for reaction comments that will be shown on tonight’s show.

Eric is getting really annoyed with Jameka’s efforts to pull Jessica away from him by badmouthing him to her (Jameka has told Jess several times over the last few days they Eric doesn’t really want her with him in the end).
