When during BB5 Nakomis came up with the idea of “Back Dooring” Jase by not letting him participate in the Power of Veto (POV) contest, the producers knew they had a potential problem.

Their solution for BB6 was to add a random factor to the selection of whom could participate in the POV. The first attempt was a spinning wheel with names on it. I thought that was fine but not to the producers it seems, they introduced a bag of ping pong balls with names on it.

The problem with the new set up was that we never got to see the balls before or after they were drawn. Since some names never seem to be drawn there has been speculation by some that all th enames might not be in the bag on any given week.

I have to admit I have questioned how random the POV name drawing was when Eric’s name hadn’t shown up for weeks.

Although what I heard today does not completely dispel the idea, it does imply that all the names are there.

Eric and Dick were discussing the previous Power of Veto name drawing portions since there is no need to draw names this evening. Eric commented on how he had never seen his name drawn until last week. As it happens last week Eric was selected by Zach to play, his name was not drawn. However, what was not shown apparently was after Zach picked Erc, someone else pulled the ball with his name on it out of the bag and had to re-draw.

Dick commented that the same thing happened to him the first time he was able to play for the POV.

So it appears that the POV ball drawing is edited to not show names that are drawn that have already been selected to play by ‘house guests choice.”
