Big Brother 8 Episode #26 Recap
September 2nd, 2007

Welcome to tonight’s show. They are recapping the last week – ending with the HoH competition in progress.

OPENING CREDITS

Amber is shown being evicted. In the Diary Room (DR) Dick said he is glad to see her go. Jessica wanted her to stay but Eric convinced her she needed to go.

Zach said it was huge for him not to go. Eric says he was happy to see Amber go, that it was what America wanted.

Now we see the HoH competition. I watched it all on the live feeds and reported the details here Friday night: My recap of the HoH competition including video.

If you don’t want to read that recap here is my short one… Zach was leading the whole time. Eric was really hurting after some hard falls.

One thing I didn’t understand from Friday – there was a small vase near the big bowl and by filling it firts Eric got a phone call (actually he gave it to Jessica).

The other thing that hadn’t been completely explained – the extra cups. For each extra cup used the house was put on cold water. All four took two cups and so the house is on cold water for eight days.

Zach was always in the lead and in the DR Dick explains that he was very concerned because he had laid into Zach right before the competition. We see a flashback of Dick really ripping into Zach – claiming he was trying to back stab him.

Back to the competition and we see Zach coming close to winning it.

-COMMERCIAL-

The close finish between Zach and Dick is shown….. when I watched it live I had no doubt Zach was going to win.

Dick says he is so pissed because Amber would not have had a chance.

Eric gives the call to Jessica.

Eric is obviously upset that he lost the HoH and he is now worried that Zach will go after Jessica.

Dick and Daniele talk, Dick is worried, Daniele says she has pull with Zach and thinks he will nominate Jameka and Jessica.

Eric promises Jessica he will do everything in his power this week to keep her in the house.

Zach gets his HoH room, no one is very excited. Everyone checks it out – but no excitement. Everyone slowly leaves the room leaving Daniele and Zach.

Daniele goes to work on Zach. Zach talks about how Dick laid into him earlier and Daniele talks about how that is one reason she hasn’t talked to him much the last seven years.

Daniele quizzes him about who he might nominated and he doesn’t appear to rule out nominating Dick (ed – interesting editing – Zach told Daniele that she and Dick were safe before she left the HoH room in reality).

-COMMERCIAL-

Jessica and Eric time. (This happened earlier in the week when Jessica was still HoH) Eric admits to the mustard and the votes. He says in the DR that he wants to tell Jessica he is America’s player but he can’t.

Jessica gets her phone call from her younger brother who is just back from Iraq (This was Saturday). Very little of the call is shown (it was 20 minutes long). Jessica cries afterwards. She is so happy to know her brother is back and safe.

-COMMERCIAL-

America tells Zach to get Jameka nominated (shocking – not). We see Eric propose Jameka be nominated and voted out.

Daniele talks to Dick and suggests that they try to get Zach to put up Eric and Jessica – so that they have no choise but to vote one of them out – thus being forced to break the alliance – but it appearing not to be their fault.

Daniele and Dick approach Zach and suggest the same thing (this was about 2pm on Friday as watched it unfold). So we are left thinking Zach may nominate Jessica and Eric.

Nomination time Zach claims it was a last second decision (lies lies lies – lol) – here is the order the keys came out – only three key left now.

Dick, Daniele, Eric.

Jessica and Jameka are nominated.

Zach explains that he nominated Jameka because he feels their social relationship hasn’t evolved and she has more friends so is more of a threat against him in the end.  He says while he is friends with Jessica he still feels everyone likes her so she is a threat.

In the DR Jessica can’t blame him,  Jameka feels it was a cop out.  Daniele is happy and feels he friendship with Zach paid off, Eric feels he is to blame.

Show is over – tune in Tuesday to see the POV comp with Janelle from BB6/7 (the POV comp was from 12:15am-3:30am Saturday.).

Important Stuff Today? Dick and Zach spoke just after midnight and for now they plan to secure a promise from Jameka and then vote Jessica out. Other than that if you call Eric having a latex bikini top ‘important’ then there you go. Chances are today will be very very slow game-wise. TV Show Tonight.

9:20pm Dinner long over. Dick and Daniele and others were outside smoking when Daniele got annoyed with Dick for smoking too close to her and went inside to work out. Dick stayed outside and told stories to Zach until her went in and worked out with Daniele.

7:45pm Hgs all sitting down to eat dinner.

7:40pm No game talk at all – a lot of talk, but all silly – gossip – or just general talk about other reality shows, things they all hate in the house, on and on. The kind of stuff I don’t write about but if you are interested it might be worth checking out the feeds to hear. Here is an example… Jessica will not discuss her favorite sex postitions because she knows he family tunes in to the feeds.

6:06pm Everyone but Daniele out back talking. Daniele and Zach worked out earlier – I’d assume she is showering or resting after the work out.

5pm Show time! Mostly general chit chat the last hour.

End of blatant plug. Read on!4pm There is a lot of double talking going on with Dick/Danile/Eric/Jessica. Sounds like Dick and Daniele still want to vote Jessica out but they don’t want anyone to know. Dick told Jessica to watch what she says because Zach overheard her talking like she was safe and Dick doesn’t want Zach to know they are dealign with them. At the same time Dick was telling Zach to be careful what HE says because Jameka has been hanging around outside the HoH room and eavesdropping.3pm Jameka was up before three and the rest of the HGs (Dick, Jessica and Eric) got a wake up call at 3pm.

2:30pm Zach and Daniele talk alot about the POV – Daniele thinks if they vote out Jessica this week that she and her father will go up next week. But who can tell how honest Daniele is being with Zach.

1:30pm Zach is now up.

12:45pm Danielle got up just as Dick decided to go back to bed.

10am Dick continues his assault on the grill.

9am Dick is up and working on the grill outside.

4:50am Daniele went off to bed as well a few minutes ago.

4:15am Just as I tune in Eric and Jameka call it a night – and unlike her father, Daniele doesn’t talk to herself so she isn’t as interesting to watch. However it is nice to not hear someone spitting every 10 seconds.

4:05am Daniele, Jameka and Eric are still up. Eric and Jameka seem to have a plan to see if they can sleep in again until 3pm (like they did today), Jameka says her favorite Sunday was the one where they slept in until 6pm. Daniele remarks that the internet viewers must hate the. Well Daniele, as one internet viewer I don’t mind.

2:35am-3:30am Eric and Jameka talk.

12:15am-2:30am Eric gets a latex bikini top painted on by Jessica. He was the only one to do any major painting. Later on Eric and Jessica do some kissing in the back yeard before Jessica heads to bed around 12:30am.

12:10am Just after midnight Dick and Zach have a convo at the hot tub and plan to approach Jameka right before the live show and tell her that if she agrees to do whatever they ask with the POV if she wins it – then they will keep her (problem is they don’t know there will be no conversations between the next POV and eviction since it will all take place in one show). They will then vote out Jessica with the idea that it will make Eric a wreck for the next HoH. (images below by Sunshyne4u @ TVClubhouse)
