Big Brother 9 Episode #22 Recap

Welcome to another Big Brother Episode - pre-opening credits we get to watch Natalie win the HoH and nominate James and Joshuah.
Opening Credits
Again with the nominations - Diary Room discussions - James feels like he is going to be on the block every week he doesn’t win HoH. Joshuah feels pretty safe up against James. Natalie says she is sending James to see Chelsia and Matt.
Power of Veto talk - everyone agree James cannot win it - as long as he doesn’t he will go home.
Then we see Natalie encouraging James in the sauna - telling him she thinks he can win it.
Later we see Sheila encouraging Joshuah and she says she doesn’t care if James hears her. James was sleeping but wakes up and does hear Sheila - so he confronts her on playing both sides. Sheila walks away but ends up continuing talking about it. So James approaches her and gets up in her face - he yells and screams at her for being two faced. James actually ends up in tears talking to Joshuah - then in the Diary Room he says that there is no nice way to play this game - that he has no one in the house now that Chelsia is gone. In tears he explains that he hasn’t cried until now since his father died. He says he is going to stay and keep trying to play.
–COMMERCIAL–
Players are picked for the POV - everyone but Adam gets to play. Adam will get to host.
They head outside and see a yard full of items. Large and small versions of items - a huge # of gumballs, a lot of cards, etc. They have to guess the # of each item. They all reveal their answers and then decide if they stay or fold. If they stay - the worst guess is eliminated - the closest guess gets a point - first to three points wins POV. People that fold are not eliminated - but have no chance to win that point.
First up - building blocks in a big box - Joshua and Sharon were eliminated - Natalie won a point. There were 992 blocks - Natalie guessed 885 - Josh and Sharon guessed 800.
Next - Push Pins in a POV shape. Guesses, Natalie 720 - James 510 - Sheila 950 - Ryan 750. James and Sheila fold. Total was 930 - Ryan gets a point - Natalie out.
Third Item - A tub of lard - Guesses, James 280 - Sheila 250 - Ryan 1050 - James and Ryan fold - Sheila gets a point - Answer was 225 lbs
Rubber balls in a giant gumball machine - guesses, James 675 - Sheila 380 - Ryan 1100 - Ryan and Sheila fold - James gets a point - Answer was 929 (Ryan would have won).
A bundle of chain - how many links? Guesses, James 560 - Sheila 185 - Ryan 12oo. James Stays - Sheila folds - Ryan Folds. James gets another point. Answer was 958 (Ryan would have won again).
James is being extremely cocky - commenting that the entire house wants to get rid of him.
Weight of popcorn. Guesses - James 54lbs - Sheila 250 lbs - Ryan 75lbs - Sheila folds - Ryan stays and the answer is 49lbss - Ryan is eliminated and James wins POV.
Joshua is upset and wants to be alone.
–COMMERCIAL–
James is dancing - Joshuah is crying. Joshuah says that Sharon will go up in Jame’s place and he (Joshuah) will be evicted. Now Sharon is crying that she let down Joshua.
Ryan talks to Natalie - they can’t believe James won it.
Joshuah says that he will not cry or campaign (whatever - they always do). Sheila hugs James - James is crying as is Sharon.
Sharon goes off the bathroom and cries - James heads to the storage room. Shelia comforts Sharon in the bathroom. Suddenly James stops crying and heads up to the HoH room and starts campaigning to stay. Natalie says that if he can get two votes, she will vote him to stay. He runs and tells Ryan and James individually. Then Josh, Natalie and Ryan talk in the HoH room and agree to vote out Sharon.
Intermixed with all of that is scenes of Sheila talking to Sharon in the bathroom - telling Sharon how she would be here for her when James leaves - giving Sharon a pep talk.
REALITY: Not shown is that Joshuah overheard parts of this convo and he felt that Sheila was trying to gain Sharon as an ally since she would be losing Josh (which is exaclty what she was doing). One of the reason’s Josh said to vote Sharon out is because Sheila was aligning with her so he would align with Natalie which would be better for Natalie in the long run.

Power of Veto Meeting. James calls everyone in.
Joshuah says he let himself down - didn’t play well in the POV and so James should use it on herself. James says he will use it on himself. He says he knows if he doesn’t win that he goes home. James seems to give everyone a pep talk telling them they can win too if they give it 150%. Natalie must put up a replacement and she chooses Sharon.
POV Meeting over.
