Big Brother 9 Episode #23 Recap

The show begins with a recap of the last weeks worth of action. Natalie wins HoH, nominates James and Joshuah - Joshuah wins POV and saves himself, Natalie nominates Sharon in his place.
Opening Credits
Julie greets us and we see the POV meeting again and James uses it - Sharon nominated.
Diary Room (DR) entries - Sharon says it is tough being on the block but she knows James will be the one going home.
Sheila says it is tough for them to be such good friends and on the block against each other.
Joshuah says that he has a promise from Natalie to save him if the vote is a tie and he thinks he has the votes. But he will still try to make it a 3-1 vote.
Josh pretends to be really weak - hoping that it will get Adam to want to keep him. He apparently fakes a breakdown about being on slop and almost eating (hey - I bought it when I saw it going on - nice acting Josh!). Josh also talks about feeling like the decision has been made already and he will be voted out 3-1. Adam implies that he might give Joshuah a vote to make it 2-2.
Natalie is worried Josh won’t keep his word. She talks to Sharon and reveals that Josh is trying to make a deal - but she wants to keep Sharon. They bring Sheila in on the plan (this all actually went on shortly after Natalie, Ryan and Josh had the discussion shown on last nights show (it was Friday afternoon - long before the POV meeting).
Now Natalie talks to Ryan - he tells her he feels safer with Joshuah staying because he is concerned Sharon might go after him.
Sharon tells Ryan that she has never been ‘gunning’ for him. She says Josh and James are. (Natalie is there for this). Now with Natalie gone she re-assures Ryan and he tells her he will be playing everyone else - no matter what she hears.
Natalie talks to Adam - says they have to break up James and Joshuah. Ryan joins them and they agree to get Joshuah out - and they pretend Joshuah is staying so he is shocked.
Joshuah and James are shown thinking they may pull it off and Joshuah will stay.
DR entries by Ryan and Sheila - they seem to be for keeping Sharon.
–COMMERCIAL–
Julie talks to the HGS. Sheila on James - she thinks he is very smart and is playing a smart game.
James says it meant a lot to him when Sheila pumped him up before the POV.
Adam asked about all the emotion (tears) in the house. Adam says he has a level head and does his thing.
Joshuah (apparently the first time he has spoken with Julie. He says it has been hard campaigning against Sharon - she is a good friend. Sharon says that no matter what they will be friends outside the house.
Joshuah’s mom comments on Joshuah. She says Josh is Josh - she has never seen the outbursts he has shown on the show. She hasn’t seen the language he has used before - they are a bit scared watching him at times (but it is all said in a kind voice). She says sometimes she wants to wring his neck - she says that that person is not the Joshuah they know. They think it is all an act. Joshuah was in sports, had girlfirends, when he ‘came out’ they still loved him.
His father says that he is up against a wall right now (being nominated).
Adam and James both seem to want Josh to stay. But them Adam also lists reasons for Josh to go.
–COMMERCIAL–
Julie talks to Natalie - on Matt - she is thinking about all the good times they had - she misses him and his energy. She thinks Matt was happy to see Chelsia leave the house. She says Matt can do what he wants with Chelsia because she is not his girlfriend. She says Ryan is her closest ally in the house now. She was happy to hear that she has helped bring her own family closer.
Sharon talks - she is thankful to be there - and will be ok with leaving or happy to stay.
Josh says this is the most dysfunctional family (they all laugh) - he asks for one more week.

James - Sharon.
–COMMERCIAL–
Joshuah evicted - 3-1 - he tells everyone he is proud of who he was - tells them all to be true to himself. He doesn’t wants hugs - but James and Sharon get up - Sharon hugs him.
Inside Sharon keeps saying she is ok - thanks people for keeping her.
James talks to Julie - says he is a good person and he had his blow ups in the house. He says they had to kick him out because they knew he was tough and he would have picked them off one by one if they had stayed. He says he is only mean when provoked. He says he stands up for the rights of others. He says sorry to his mom - he has a temper and sometimes he can’t control it.
About the fake tears - he said he has always been a soap opera fan and he hoped the tears would get him some sympathy. He is rooting for Sharon and James.
James says he never broke his word. Ryan says that he thinks Josh did too much damage in the house and that is why he is gone. Natalie and Sharon both say goodbyes too - they were all nice.
Joshuah says only James and Sharon have a backbone in the house.
–COMMERCIAL–
HoH - More or less.
25 table lamps? Less - Everyone but Sheila gets a point.
30 tree trunks in the Diary Room? Less - Sharon and James get a point.
75 pillows? More - 87 Pillows in the house - Sharon, Sheil, Adam get a point.
37 Picture Frames? More - no one got it.
19 Total Logs in the Living Room? 16 logs - all get a point.
107 2 way mirrors? More - all but Sharon get a point. (3 way tie - James Adam Sharon)
115 pull out Drawers? More - Sheila and Adam correct - Adam new HoH
–COMMERCIAL–
Julie congratulates Adam - he says he is a numbers kinda guy. Sheila thinks Joshuah had a very classy exit speech. Julie congratulates them all.
