Big Brother 9 Episode #6 Recap

Show begins with a recap of the last couple episodes - Jen and Parker evicted.
Opening Credits
Reactions to the eviction - Amanda, Ryan are sad, Alex is happy because Parker had romantic interests in Amanda - but otherwise he is disappointed. Allison is glad they are gone.
Reactions to James and Chelsia winning HoH - James and Chelsia all fired up, Alex is worried because he knows that Amanda ticked off Chelsia, Amanda says she knows she is going up. Natalie feels safe. Allison says she feels safe because Chelsia thinks she is a lesbian (umm so why does that make her safe?).
The HGs have to drink out of bowls in place of cups because of the HoH competition.
James and Chelsia seem to give Matt his word he is safe from nomination.
Joshua tells Sharon that Allison and Shelia are lesbians (he did this when Sharon came back in the house - not after the evictions).
James and Chelsia get into their HoH room - yay rah whoopee! Shelia seems all emotional about people getting to see pictures of their families and animals.
Now we see Natalie being re-assured by James and Chelsia that she and Matt are safe.
Plotting between Ryan, Adam and James outside - this was Wednesday night and James was drunk and doesn’t even remember the conversation. The plan however is called ‘operation condor’ and the plan has been to remove the top row of the HGs on the memory wall - meaning Alex and Amanda (Jen and Parker are already gone).
–COMMERCIAL–
Amanda decided to talk to Joshua about their argument that happened last week. They talk in the sauna room (this took place Tuesday Night in reality).
Amanda talks about Matt and how she thinks they are indeed soul mates. She is seen sort of pursuing Matt and he doesn’t see, to have much interest. Matt tells Natalie that as much as he likes her he can’t see them having sex, he doesn’t want a distraction in the game.
Allison talks to Shelia about their lie about being lesbians (I think this was Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon). Allison wants to explain the lie to prevent it from coming back at them later on as a lie. Shelia doesn’t know about doing it because she is worried it will come back on them. Allison says they will tell Josh that they did it expecting him to tell everyone and he didn’t.
–COMMERCIAL–
Food competition time. Two teams are set up - Sharon, Joshua, Allison, Ryan, Matt and Natalie on one team, James, Chelsia, Adam, Shelia, Alex and Amanda on the other.
It is a nautical theme and there are two ’ships’ in the back yard and a lagoon full of water and dead fish.
Much like Survivor last Thursday, on this competition the teams are each holding nets and the other team is tossing dead fish in their nets. The last team holding a net of dead fish win. In survivor is was a net full of coconuts but you get the idea.
On each team three hold nets and three toss fish.
Ryan is the first out.
James is next, then Amanda. Only Adam remains for his team.
Matt is out so it is Joshua on one team vs Adam on the other.
Adam finally has to let go.
So Adam, Shelia, Alex and Amanda are on slop. Chelsia and James are exempt as Heads of Household.
–COMMERCIAL–
Silly time…. Amanda says “bueno” all the time and drives everyone crazy - and we see examples of that.
James and Chelsia’s romance…. we see the two of them on Wednesday night when both were pretty tipsy thanks to Big Brother. They get into bed together and Chelsia kind of plays hard to get but eventually they do kiss.
Shelia and Allison reveal their lesbian lie to Chelsia - this was Wednesday night right after the show ended. They then reveal it to Joshua as well. Joshua, Chelsia talk and the feel like they can’t trust Allison or Shelia.
James talks to Matt about nominations - he says he is ‘gunning’ for Alex - but that the other couple they nominate will be unexpected.
–COMMERCIAL–
Nomination time. Everyone has their own reasons to be worried.
We see James and Chelsia place the keys - Chelsia feels like they will be targets next week after nominations.
Everyone is called inside for nominations - here is how the keys were removed.

Matt and Natalie and Alex and Amanda are nominated.
James explains that they nominated Matt and Natalie so they could play for, and win, the POV. He makes it clear that they want Alex and Amanda to be evicted.
Matt feels like he was doublecrossed. Most other comments are as expected.
End of the show (wow - I was expecting them to show more about Natalie and Matt’s relationship).
