I think CBS is insane. This pageant is sponsored by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)

How many of us know anyone that has judged any of those pagents? Seems to me they get 5 seconds of air time when they are introduced and that's it.

Maybe it was a little carrot they dangled in front of krista to get her to play nice at some point, either way it really is not worth getting upset over, and please do not use this as yet another reason to bash her. She's out of the house now, it doesn't really serve any purpose.

If there is an issue with Krista being involved since MADD is a sponsor, it seems the issue would be with MADD going along with it, not Krista.

I agree with Ryn.

Is the pageant live? If not, when was it taped? They couldn't have really held it out as a carrot for her since CBS wouldn't have known that she would be out of the house by then. Maybe they just planned on one of the evictees would be a judge no matter what as a way of bringing attention to the ongoing BB show?

sorry, I posted a hate site, not realizing...I was in the CBS chat room, off I went...

But, yes I don't think that the MADD organizers really know about this. If they did, they would have never have agreed.

It is just a slap in the face to all mothers who have had a child killed due to a drunk driver. This is the bigger picture here.

Sherrie would have been perfect as a jugde.
Thank you and God Bless.

Has Krista ever been convicted of drunk driving? If not, then leave her alone.

MADD is not against drunkenness and/or drinking. It is against drunk driving.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) has one mission: to stop drunk driving and support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. To help achieve this mission, MADD works with corporations throughout America to execute promotions, programs and awareness campaigns designed to help save lives.

Krista has admitted to driving drunk and to being the drunk passenger with a drunk driver. She even admitted being wasted and ending up in the Bayou.

Just because there were no police around to charge her....doesn't mean she wasn't in the wrong.

Shame on CBS for trying to portray her as a role model for teens. YUCK.

And Ryn, last I checked...this was a discussion forum. I think we are allowed to discuss the topic of this thread. Freedom of speech, ya know.

... apparently MADD is looking into it. Good for them, the type of behavior Krista takes as normal lifestyle is the direct opposite of what they stand for. I honestly think they'd be wrong not to voice a complaint about it.

Krista promoted their pagent several times while in the house. I am proud for her and the Survivor contestant. You never truly fail until you stop trying. Instead of sitting around saying, "I would like to try this or that", Krista took the step to do something more than just dream. I think her daughter would be excited about this pagent. She seems to keep hope for better things in her sights and where would any of us be without it. I like Krista and think she is a loving mother. She seems to be the most maligned HG so far. This is just my opinion, not meant to inflame or offend. I wish Krista and her daughter the very best. I hope life and people are kinder for both their futures.

Maggie, I'm sure there are a host of opportunities out there more suitable to Krista's personality.

A pageant that promotes the promise of youth is certainly NOT something that Krista should be a role model for.

In all seriousness, Krista would be more suited as a judge for a Howard Stern sponsored wet t-shirt contest.

Good for Krista. Of all the evicted HGs she is the only one to get national exposure and hopefully this will lead to better things for her. She is a testament to how a teenager with a lot of obstacles in her path was able to get her GED, raise her child and not be a bitter person.

Good for Krista...bad for the rest of us who live in the real world. But heck, maybe Krista will pass out the consolation prize...a Nyquil cocktail.

Let's see what MADD says or does tomorrow...

Kel from survivor was a judge for some pageant after survivor ended too. He was so stupid, he got to ask one of the finalist a question and of course it related to survivor.

At least Krista did show interest in the whole pageant deal.

I just went to the Miss Teen website and I do not see M.A.D.D. listed as a sponsor. Can you tell me where they are listed? or is this just another ploy by that hate site against Krista?

I am a Krista fan and am very glad she is getting this opportunity. I wish her the best in life.

Okay, I just went and read the fine print. It does NOT say that M.A.D.D. is a sponsor, only that the pageant has a "relationship" with M.A.D.D.

I would have posted it here, but some probably would not believe me, but it is there if anyone cares to read it.

I will not get into a debate about Krista and her drinking pattern. We are all set in our opinions about that, but I certainly would not let a website that promotes hate sway my opinion if I was a sponsor.

Just my opinion.

I bet she will look great! I am proud of her!

Perhaps she wants to create opportunity and earn more money for her daughter. She's struggled her whole life, so why not use the opportunity to make some extra money. Walk a mile in her shoes....

If MADD has a relationship with a pageant that encourages young women to compete against each other in bathing suits so that randy old men can gawk at them I find THAT disgusting. There are plenty of organizations that they can align themselves with..why choose THIS one?

===
The promise of youth is promoted at the Olympics
and at the National Honor Society..it is NOT promoted by Beauty pageants...if Krista wants to
appear at this event fine, but there is NO reason for the pageant to be "holier than thou"..they are NOT what I would want my teenager to aspire to.

I learn something new everyday. I had no idea this was the purpose of the bathing suit competition. Thanks for the heads up.

Fruitbat, in the live feeds she said she wanted to stay in LA and party with Boogie before she went home to her daughter. As I understand it, her daughter is meeting her in Corpus for the Miss Teenusa pageant.

I saw her too,Nancy! She's looks lovely...and she did the lead in commercial, so maybe she'll get residuals, too!
I hope her daughter gets some airtime, she's really cute, like a little Krista.
