TAYLOR HICKS!!!!  Congrats!!!  If you are recording the show - it ran over by almost 5 minutes...

63.4 million total votes cast last night..... Katherine and Taylor sang a duet (I had the time of my life)....   Some people that are recording this are gonna be pissed - this is going to run over... Prince came on stage and sang two short songs...  (yes THE "Prince").

They did a 'tribute' to the 'cowboys' - as I recall they played this same bit earlier this season.  A fake movie called "Brokenote Cowboys."  Then the 3 guys from the bit came out and sang "Momma don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys."  (Yawn). The finalists and other former contestants  sang a tribute to Burt Bacarat - at the end Dionne Warrick  joined them to sing a couple songs. Before that a guy who said he would be the next Clay Aken was given an award and Clay made a suprise appearance - they (sorta) sang a duet.

To be honest I haven't watched the whole show - I knew it would be a lotta fluff and it seemed to have been just that.

I did tune in to see Meatloaf signing with Katherine McPhee.
