Episode #3 6/14/04:

This show has more twists than ummmm heck - most other reality shows.  The new twists added this week.  The girls find out that Preston knows the values of the checks - and now they can't tell Preston they know.  One girl is also allowed to see the value of her check and trade it if she chooses.

The women vote on who they think is in it for love, and who is in it for money.  PJ gets the mosts votes as being in it for love and Rachel gets the most votes as being in it for the money (surprise surprise).  These two women will get private dates later on.

Then Jordan (the host) throws in yet ANOTHER twist and flips a coin to see which of the two women (PJ or Rachel) gets to see the value of their checks.  PJ wins, looks and sees that she is worth $50,000 - not great but not bad either.  She is given the opportunity to swap her check with anyone else and decides not to.  Rachel (who is worth a whole $1 by the way) is eating this up and of course we are all laughing at her because she is playing this game hard and has no idea that she has no value.
 

Preston takes the other four the women on a date and comments to the camera that 3 of them are woth the most money.  He spends a little alone time with Andrea (worth $500,000).  When the ladies return things get a bit catty between Rachel and Andrea. After a break we see Rachel and Preston head out on their private date - Preston seems to be a bit smitten with Rachel - of course we know she is playing for the money and only the money - and he knows she isn't worth anything so might be a sucker for her charms.  The kissing starts in the limo and Rachel takes the advances to possiby mean she has a big check.

The date it turns out is a trip to a retirement home where Preston and Rachel help "Bob and Kay" celebrate thier 62nd wedding anniversiary.  Back in the limo Rachel and Preston are all kissy-face and Rachel tells him she would be willing to move to Denver to be closer to him (once again playing the game).  Preston remarks that all the women he has connected with are not worth much.

Back at the ranch (err house) Rachel recounts her date to the other girls and doesn't admit she kissed Preston.

As the show resumes PJ heads out for her date with Preston.  PJ comments that she might act a bit more forward than she normally would in order to play the game.  Preson and PJ take a limo ride to a theater and have a private date while they watch a ballet performance just for them - hmm - how many times has this been done on various shows??

Preston tries to kiss PJ and she pulls away - not sure of his motivations.  Preston comments to the camera that she should "throw herself out there more" if she is in it for the money or love......

The remaining five ladies eat dinner alone and Rachel reveals that she has not ummmmmm taken care of her personal needs because she can't get time alone.  The other gals seemed to take offense and Andrea appeared to be the one to push her button the most - so Rachel left the table.  Rebekah and everyone except Andrea follow Rachel and try to repair the problems and it seems that everyone but Andrea was ok with the situation at the end - Andrea and Rachel are obviously arch-enemies.

PJ returns from the date and comments that is was the most romantic date she has ever been on. 

The preparations begin for the evenings eliminations and all the women speculate on who might go......

Cut to all six women filing out on the back stairs to face their fate... one will be eliminated.....

Preston thanks them all and begins calling names - obviously the first few are safe.

Rebekah ($1) - stays....
Andrea ($500k) - stays....
Rachel ($1) - stays.... Rachel comments that maybe she will want love and not the money if things continue the way they did on their private date.....
PJ ($50,000) - stays....
Jamie ($250k) - he asks for the ring back......
Ali ($1 Million) - stays
