Episode Four recap:

7/5/04 Well - here we go.......  this is strange - I would swear the final two were Cammy and Ingrid but as the show begins it is Ambrosia and Ingrid that remain.......  HUH......  well anyways - Austin eliminates Ambrosia but it is revealed that the show was fake (Tim is not present).  All the men in on the show reveal themselves and "Derek" tells Ingrid that she has the chance to join the show.  He offers her a script and the chance to join with them in keeping Tim in the dark.  She is told if she does she will get $100,000 in the end.

The next morning Ingrid is brought in on the cast meeting.  She is asked to tone down the "am I aon the truman show" comments.  The group (including Tim) meets outside and the falcon is flown in to reveal a new twist.

Derek reveals that there are two new suitors about to join the game.  Only one will actually join the show though.  There are apparently one guy or one woman that will join.  It seems that this will be another un-knowing participant..... and with that we are treated to a commercial....

And the new member is.......  a woman named Amanda - she also thinks the show is all real..... she is briefed on the show premise - no need to recap that here - you know the drill.

Ingrid reveals to the camera that she knew Amanda from the casting process and Ingrid is excited to be part of the other side of the show.
 

On to a game....  Derek joins the cast outside for a game entitled "Bangers and Mash" - he says that this was a game originally played on the British version of the show (geee - what a shock - "Last Chance for Love" is supposed to be a British Import).  Tiffinay - a female helper - climbs in a tub and has mashed potatos dumped on her and apparently the object is to dig in the "mash" using only your mouth and fish out a sausage to place in a bun - whomever's bun you place it in is eliminated.  Gerald was the winner and was given the choice to spend alone time with Austin or Piper - he chooses Piper amid much snickering (since he is the "gotta be gay guy").

After another commercial we briefly see Amanda talking about Austin and yeah, she thinks he is good looking.

Piper's parents are introduced, Frank and Betty Davidson.  "Frank relays that he is supposed to be a very stern person.  According to some of the cast Tim was very intimidated by Frank.  Tim felt his one-on-one with Frank went well.  Tim reveals he has been sexually active in the past but NOT with Piper  (his stammering was hillarious).  Meanwhile Ingrid is assigned the task of revealings Cammy's secret to Amanda.  She does this and part of the 'secret' I had not seen before was that according to Ingrid "Cammy" gets excited when she is around food and men as a result of her being in the soft porn movie "porked and beans."  Amanda reveals to the camera that Ingrid telling her this makes her an untrustworthy person because if Cammy wanted her to know she would have told her.

For some reason the men are introduced to "Nurse Tabitha" -  A stripper - now Piper's "Dad" is present while this woman removes her clothes - Tim relates his surprise at how TJ reacts - that he acted just like he would had Pipers dad not been there.  After Tabitha left Derek reveals a fax machine and (taking a page from "meet my folks") each guy must do a certain task during dinner with Piper's parents or they will have a secret about themselves revealed.

TJ must get a kiss from Piper's mom.
Bryce must stick his tongue in Piper's ear.
Gerald must tell the story of how he lost his virginity.
Tim must use the word cunnilingus 3 times during the dinner.

Dinner begins.......TJ asks for a picture with Piper and her mom - he sneaks a kiss from Piper's mom while the picture is being taken.  While drinking wine Gerald reveals that he got drunk on red wine once with his girlfriend at the time - we think he is going to reveal that thats when he lost his virginity but he ends up saying they both threw up (he fails).   Tim tries and fails to say his word and the guys try to help him by leading him on - he still can't do it.  Derek approaches and has the envelopes - Bryce's task was not shown.

Derek reveals Gerald's secret- it was picture of Gerald dressed as a woman.
Bryce's secret is video tape of himself trying to hypnotise Piper.
Tims secret is video of his lapdance on Gerald.

With the secrets revealed Derek announces each guy will undergo a lie-detector test (once again like "meet my folks").

After the required the commercial we re-join the men in the wine cellar and we see Frank, Betty and David - the guy who will administer the lie-detector.

First up - Bryce:
Frank: If Piper wants to wait until you are married for sex would you have a problem?
Bryce: No

Frank: Do you want to sleep with my Daughter?
Bryce: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Betty: If Piper was in a disfiguring accident would you still love her??
Bryce: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Next up TJ:
Frank: If Piper wants to wait until you are married for sex would you have a problem?
TJ: No
David: Thumbs down (lie)

Betty: Have you ever lied to a woman to get sex?
TJ: No
David: Thumbs down (lie)

Betty: If Frank was sucked into an turbine engine and needed a new kindney would you donate one?
TJ: No
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Next - Gerald: (this was set up to re-introduce the "gay" idea with Gerald)
Frank: If Piper wants to wait until you are married for sex would you have a problem?
Gerald: Yes
David: Thumbs down (lie)

Betty: Of all the woman in the house are you most attracted to Piper?
Gerald: Of all the women? Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Frank: Gerald do you want to sleep with my daughter?
Gerald: Yes
David: Thumbs down (lie)

Finally - Tim - TJ comments to the camera that the lie-detector was real for Tim:
Frank: Are you intimidated by me?
Tim: No
David: Thumbs down (lie)

Betty: Have you ever been unfaithful to a g/f? 
Tim: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Frank: If Piper wants to wait until you are married for sex would you have a problem?
Tim: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Betty: Of all the woman in the house are you most attracted to Piper?
Tim: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Frank: Tim do you want to sleep with my daughter?
Tim: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Betty: If Frank was sucked into an turbine engine and needed a new kindney would you donate one?
Tim: Yes
David: Thumbs up (truth)

Frank and Betty give Gerald immunity from eviction based on his answers.  So the eliminated person tonight will be either TJ or Bryce.

For the elimination both the men and women are present...... as with episode 2 - the man whose wick is left unlit will be eliminated.

Tim is first and tells piper that he is intrigued and looking forward to more.
Bryce reads another poem.  Amanda is shown watching and smiling at the poem.
Gerald says he knows that he is safe but wanted to let Piper know he loved her mom and she made him feel like her daughter (yes daughter).
TJ tells Piper she is hot and so is her mom.

Piper thanks them all and the elimination begins........

Gerald's wick is lit.......
TJ's wick is lit.....
Tim's wick is lit......

Bryce is eliminated and has a little break-down......  Amanda appears to feel sorry for him.....

Derek asks Bryce to address Piper and he just continues to break down and say they there is chemistry between himself and Piper....  Bryce asks to hug Piper and she says ok....then Bryce leaves - sobbing the whole way........
