7/13/04 Episode 4 - After a recap of the previous episode where we are re-reminded that Marissa was voted out but not eliminated, the girls have to leave off a 25 foot cliff into a pool of water before they get to their new camp.  They all make the jump and then Jack treats them to a picnic.

As they are finishing the host JD shows up and announces that there are some “friends” dropping by.  Five women come rappelling down a cliff wall.  They are the new competition.

The women are all very athletic and the exact opposite of the girls – JD says that they will be in a competition the next day - if the ‘old’ girls win then the new girls leave.  If the new girls win then Jack has to pick one of the ‘old’ girls to leave and one of the new ones stays.

The entire group heads off to the next camp and there is the expected comparisons between the pampered girls and the new women.

The next day the competition begins – its an obstacle course very similar to one you might see on Survivor.  The new girls win but it was pretty close.  Jack must eliminate one “his girls” (he has referred to them the entire episode as “my girls”).

 Right after the the competition  Jack has to make his decision – he chooses “Meri-de” to stay from the group he calls “the adventure girls).

Now Jack must eliminate one of the “City Girls”  -

Natalie – Safe
Maria – Safe
Mary – Eliminated

Mary takes the news she is leaving very well – tells Jack she had a wonderful time and that it was great.  Mary tells the camera that she is really proud of herself.  She says she will never take any electronic products for granted again. At the camp the girls spend some time discussing the new situation – Jack takes Meri-de off on a dinner date.  All the other girls feel they haven’t really had much time with Jack so they are a bit miffed.

Meri-de and Jacks date seems to go well – no romance but they have a very nice conversation.

JD arrives yet again – announces that they will all be going into the city to expose Jack to the “City Girls” way of life.  So Jack can learn about their world.  They will be flying to Perth in the morning, staying at a four star hotel, ride around in a limo and shop as much as they can stand.

Next we see the group arriving at a plane and here is JD again – he informs Jack that he must eliminate one of the girls before they leave for Perth.

In the teaser for next week Marissa is shown returning.
