2004
4/30/04 Tonight: Other: The Swan 2 is now casting - info on the Swan page or the Casting page.
Mad
Mad House - this was a two hour show - in the first hour Eric was eliminated-
so it was between Jamie and Nichole. The
Alt's awarded necklaces in this order - Fiona to Nichole, Art to Jamie,
Don to Nichole, Ta'Shia to Jamie (geeee a tie that Avocado gets to break
- amazing - lol), Finally Avocado, after reciting some hokey poetry to
both ladies where we saw Eric rolling his eyes, gives his necklace to Nichole
- Jamie is the winner of the $100,000.
4/29/04 Tonight: Survivor All-Stars - Unless something really wacky happens tonight I am guessing either Shii Ann or "Big" Tom will be given their walking papers tonight - assuming the alliance of Rob, Amber, Rupert and Jenna holds. Mad
Mad House - its down to Nichole, Eric and Jamie in the finale episode.
Other: A really interesting article in the April 26th issue of New York Magazine about Rocco DiSpirito and Jeffrey Chodorow and all the goings on with The Restaurant , here is part of it, "The second season was filmed in November and December, with Rocco an embattled figure in his own kitchen. Then, ten weeks ago, Chodorow filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, seeking to dissolve their partnership and to have DiSpirito pay back money he made from side ventures that featured the restaurant. Two weeks ago—conveniently timed to heat things up for the show’s second-season debut on April 19—DiSpirito filed a countersuit, alleging mismanagement on the part of Chodorow." Full story (there is A LOT more) Two new pictures of Paris
Hilton and Nicole Richie and a teaser video for The
Simple Life 2 can
be found on my new Simple Life web page.
Here is a very small portion of one image:
Two new casting calls added - one for a show on TBS, one for a show on WB. The WB show is a 'game show" style (Official casting page) - the TBS show is a competition to win a mansion and involved remodeling (Official casting page). Links to both casting webpages are also on my casting page. Additionally the TBS show has open casting calls the following days:
Saturday, May 1 9AM-2PM Hilton Burbank Airport and Convention Center Burbank, CA Saturday, May 15 9AM-2PM Location: TBD Saturday, May 15 9AM-2PM Location: TBD Saturday, May 22 9AM-2PM Location: TBD Saturday, June 5 9AM-2PM Location: TBD Saturday, June 8 9AM-2PM Location: TBD Group A: Fantasia, Diana, Latoya Group B: John, Jasmine, George Group B is the bottom 3 - Jasmine is safe.... so it is one of the guys...... John Stevens is eliminated. Bachelor:Jesse keeps: Tara, Jessica B., Trish, Mandy J. - eliminates: Suzie, Karen I KNEW he'd keep Trish
- makes much better TV to have a 'villian.' Was interesting to see
Karen warn Jesse about Trish as she left. Then Tara told Trish not
to blame Jenny S. (the spy) for things - we see Trish call her a
B***h for saying anything to her.
4/28/04 Tonight:The Bachelor - the spy (Jenny S.) returns to reveal her 'bad deeds.' Will Trish go this time around? My bet would be no - I don't think Jesse will pick her in the end but I am sure the producers have begged him to keep her around as long as he can. If she does go - I'd expect her to return - maybe she is the 'stalker' they hinted at during the first episode. American
Idol 3 - geee - wonder who will go tonight?
I will post it as soon as I know. A
prediction? It seems to me Diana DeGarmo had the best night - so
I would put her in the bottom 3. Perhaps John Stevens will finally
fall of his lucky train -- naaaaaa the John Stevens Army will have surley
clogged the phones and text messaging last night.
Other: "Omarosa continues to lose friends and alienate people. The much-loathed reject from “The Apprentice” was scheduled to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last week, but refused to go on air when she saw a lie detector test backstage." Full Story "Taking a page from her
daughter, Kathy Hilton, mother of The
Simple Life star Paris Hilton, will be hosting her own reality show
for NBC. The
Peacock network has ordered eight episodes of The Good Life, which will
be produced by Endemol USA and Paul Buccieri. Hilton and her husband, Rick,
will also serve as producers on the new project. Set in New York's
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, The Good Life, described as My Fair Lady meets The
Apprentice, will feature 10 young contestants being taught by Hilton how
to make it in high society. Each week, Hilton will teach the wannabes various
skills, and at the end of the episode Hilton will eliminate one contestant
who fails to perfect the weekly task." Full
Story
Last Night: American Idol 3 - here is who sang what and the numbers to call: Fantasia
Barrino 1-866-436-5701 (Get On Your Feet)
Lord
this was not a good night for any of the contestants. No one sounded
really good. I wouldn't even try to guess who will be eliminated
tonight.
4/27/04 Tonight: Yikes - here is American Idol 3's blurb on their front page today, "In the round of seven, Jennifer wasn't able to handle the music of Barry Manilow. Now that we're in the round of six, who will be able to handle the music of Gloria Estefan?" EXCUSE ME? I wasn't a huge fan of Jennifer's but she handled Barry just fine - its America that is nuts. So now I just wonder who is going next? Latoya or Fantasia? I can't wait to see John Stevens sing "Boys Will Be Boys" (lol). Last Night: Family Plots: This show really pulls at me in so many ways - its funny, shocking and then you find yourself starting to tear up as you watch the real emotions from the folks working at and visiting the mortuary. If you missed episodes 3 & 4 you can catch them on repeats May 2nd and 3rd - check your local listings. There is also a contest over at TVClubhouse with a chance to win a Family Plots T-shirt or "Lip Embalm"set all you have to do is participate in the discussion there and send an e-mail to the address listed on that page. The Restaurant: ARGHHHHHH this show drives me nuts. The story can be interesting at times and then you feel like they are trying to hit you over the head with a mallet to get it through to you that yes, Rocco is indeed not around the place much lately. OK OK - I got it about the 5th time someone said "Where's Rocco?" - while the "Where's Chuck" comment was funny on Family Plots - the "Where's Rocco?" questions drove me crazy. At this point it seems like "Jeffry," the money man behind the restaurant, has had enough and is going to go as far as to bring in his on chef. One of those brough in was a 20 year old 'intern" that I I did enjoy seeing get fired by Jeffry - I could not believe how arrogant that kid was. The re-recorded dialogue still drives me crazy - it makes it all seem very fake. Come to think of it I am reminded of times when Donald Trump said things like he was reading them off a cue-card - thats how it is on this show at times - except a lot more often. The Swan: Beth L. was selected over Kathry R. to continue on to the pageant.
Links to video clips on
my Swan Page.
4/26/04 Tonight: The Swan: Another pair of makeovers and one more woman selected to be in the pageant. I have "before" clips and pictures of the two women on my Swan page. Family Plots: Episodes 3 and 4 tonight - teasers on my Family Plots page. The
Restaurant: Yes, I'm watching it and Rocco is just as annoying to me
as last time. The
show also still seems fake to me - some of the dialogue is obviously staged
and that drives me nuts. The
Apprentice is/was a much better Mark Burnett show.
Other: Trading Spaces: Home Free in the news -
4/25/04 Tonight: The winners of Trading Spaces: Home Free will be announced - I'll post the winner here as soon as I know. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: another new episode is on tonight. High
School Reunion 2: Second to last episode - Next week will catch us
up on whats happened since the filming and show us some un-aired material.
Last Night: Nashville Star 2: The three finalists and the number to call to vote for them:
Voting online via this link: VOTE Lance
Miller was eliminated.
4/24/04 Tonight: Nashville Star 2: Three of the remaining finalists perform a song, be it a cover tune or an original, that they feel best shows off their individual talents. And in this week's "Hot Spot" segment, each contestant will put on a charity concert for their hometown fans, with all of the proceeds going to their town's local Red Cross chapter. The finale is next week. Other: More press info on WB's new show: "On Monday, May 17, THE WB'S SUPERSTAR USA will begin its search for performers who have the determination and drive to make it as a singing sensation, even if they lack the voice. Executive producer Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette") and The WB Network are unleashing an off-key send-up of a tried-and-true reality format on the American public. The show will be hosted by MTV vee-jay Brian McFayden and will feature performance critiques by industry experts Vitamin C, Tone-Loc and television producer Chris Briggs. The series will air on Mondays and Tuesdays for three consecutive weeks. The last singer standing will be THE WB'S SUPERSTAR USA and will receive cash, as well as a talent and recording contract." 4/23/04 Tonight: Take a break from Reality - errr I mean Reality TV. Yes there are some shows on but none of the big players - so do like me and get out of the house if you can!!! If not then scroll down and read the various news items I came across today and my own dis-belief at the 'twist' on Amreican Idol Wednesday night. Or go read about the new show announced yesterday - "Outback Jack" sounds like it could be a lot of fun along the lines of "The Family," "Joe Millionaire," etc - in other words a reality show that doesn't take itself too seriously!! Other: LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) "If there's anything "American Idol" fans love more than a slightly pitchy Whitney Houston cover, it's an elaborate conspiracy theory. Since the first season, when previous odds-on favorite Tamyra Gray made a shocking premature exit, nearly every Wednesday results episode has been greeted with skepticism. If the show's passionate fan base is to be trusted, the Masons, Teamsters and Stonecutters have decided that rigging "American Idol" voting is the quickest route to world domination." Full Article "Adam Mesh may have found love the second time around on reality TV, but his romantic misadventures continue. He and "Adam Returns" winner Samantha Trenk were enjoying a break at the Ritz-Carlton in Miami's South Beach when they got locked out on their own balcony. A pal says Trenk had to yell to a passing child 11 floors below: "Hey kid, up here! I don't have a key!" The young Samaritan called security guards..." From the New York Dailey News "First, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth
became the "Apprentice" contestant that America loved to hate (or just
hated to hate). Then she was fired by The Donald. Then she came back
and messed things up for poor Kwame, helping prompt his dismissal. Those
moves were humiliating, but now Omarosa has suffered an even greater indignity:
She's
been cut out of an Herbal Essences commercial." Full
Story
Last Night: Survivor All-Stars: Rupert won the reward challenge and got to eat like a king and decide whom got other dishes of decreasing value. He stuck with his alliance and Shii Ann got to eat only rice. Shii Ann knew she would be the next to go if she did not win immunity and she managed to do it beating out Rupert in an endurance challenge where they had to hold a hand over their head as long as possible. At the tribal council Alicia was voted out when the strong duo of Rob and Amber apparently decided to finally stick with Rupert and Jenna as opposed to Big Tom and Alicia. If things stay the same it would appear that Shii Ann or Big Tom will be heading to the Jusry next week. Mad
Mad House: At the guests imunity challenge, Nichole answered the most
questions correctly about her fellow housemates and won. Eric
continued to keep himself in the clear and at the eviction ceremonny Jamie
got two necklaces and Loana was banished with three. Next
week is the finals where either Eric, Nichole or Jamie will win $100,000.
4/22/04 Tonight: Survivor All-Stars and Mad Mad House Other: New reality show announced - Outback Jack will premiere on June 22nd on TBS. Listed as a "comedy" reality show it apparently has 12 "high maintenance" women in the outback competing for a mans affections. Details here. From a TBS press release: Producer Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, High School Reunion) has signed on to executive produce GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, a new reality series based on the popular sitcom. GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, is set to premiere in fourth quarter 2004. An interesting article on television in general - from it I learned that Surreal Life will apparently have a 3rd incarnation - this time on VH1. It also has names and addresses of who to write to to complain about your favorite cancelled show. Will your show go? Simon Cowell interviewed as he drives his car - talks about himself and how he got in the business.....
The
Bachelor -alright - the fix is in - sorry folks as far as I am concerned
these type of shows are somewhat 'rigged.' Jesse
narrowed the field to six ladies - he eliminated Jenny S. (the spy) and
kept Trish after Trish seemed to indicate that she is not really looking
for love and has been pretty wild at times before the show with her dating
habits. Now do you seriously think Jesse is considering picking this
woman? I don't. What I do think is he kept her on at the request
of the show's producers to create drama. heck - even the tease for
next weeks show shows Jenny S. returning and revealing she was a spy and
having a sit-down with Trish. Smart move by the producers but don't
think for a minute he will pick Trish. Oh and at the end of
the show they showed clips of Bill from The
Apprentice when he was trying to be on the Bachelor. Needless
to say it was not the most flattering video as he was saying things about
wanting to find a woman and talking about women in general - nothing terrible
- as a matter of fact the only reason it was worth showing was because
he won a show on another broadcast channel (NBC). Still in the running,
Mandy J., Susie, Tara, Jessica B., Karen, Trish.
4/21/04 Tonight: The Bachelor - from the official site, "Jesse and the women take compatibility tests to determine who will go on one-on-one dates, a two-on-one date, and a six-on-one date. Back at the Ladies' Villa, the women play a very revealing game of "I Never," and the spy, Jenny S., tells Jesse her thoughts on the women…not all of them kind. Then, Jesse must narrow the field from ten women to six." American
Idol 3 - not sure who will go tonight - the voting has been wild.
George's performance was not great, John's was even worse (but he seems
to have some loyal fans), as
for the ladies - all did pretty well in my opinion so I don't see any of
them going - but one just might.
Other: A little news on the Average Joe front:
Diana
DeGarmo 1-866-436-5701 (One Voice)
4/20/04 Tonight: American Idol 3 - the contestants will be singing Barry Manilow songs and Barry will be the guest "judge." Tommorow night he will perform with the contestants. Other: Fox has released its summer schedule and Forever Eden is not listed though I personally would expect them to get it out there at some point since they still have at least 15 or 16 episodes that they paid for. What is listed is The Casino (6/14) and Simple Life II (6/16). I posted 2 new casting
calls today - one for a new show on FX titled "The Family Project" and
another for a show about 'un-manly' men on an un-named cable channel.
Check the Casting Page for links and details.
Last Night: On The
Swan - both womens transformations were amazing but Christi's transformation
apparently was the one more suited to earn her a chance on the padgent.
It seems to me that the women don't much care about the padgent - at the
time they see themselves they are just happy to have had thiese life-changing
procedures.
4/19/04 Tonight: Family Plots, premieres tonight with two half-hour episodes on A&E. The Restaurant also premires - on NBC - I hope the dialogue is not as fake as it was during the first season. Fox
tries to get just a little more milk out of their cash cow American
Idol by running yet another special about the rejects. Following
that will be episode three of The Swan.
Last Night: On Trading Spaces: Home Free the winner from last week was the Light Blue team (Jon and Stacy). So they took on Angel & Vilma (Yellow) - voting is going on now until 2am EST. Click here to vote. Another
option is to call:
4/18/04 Tonight: Trading Spaces: Home Free - The winners from last week will take on Angel & Vilma (Yellow) from two weeks ago and one of them will win - not sure when/how the winner will be determined - or announced.. We won't find out which couple is taking on Yellow until the show begins tonight. A new episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is also airing tonight. High School Reunion - "Three couples enjoy romantic evenings after getting hall passes." Last Night:
Hi there - I was away camping yesterday so I was not able to watch Nashville
Star - I have decided to watch the encore tonight at 1am Eastern -
so I will post the results then since I would like to be surprised myself.
4/16/04 Tonight: Well heck - now that Forever Eden is gone there isn't much "Reality" TV to be seen on Fridays. At least not much that I normally watch - there are still lots of "Reality" style shows on tonight - so here are a few. ABC: Dateline NBC will
have a two hour show titled "The Apprentice Story"
Other:
(Sioux City Journal) Rocco DiSpirito is in a legal battle to win control of the New York restaurant that bears his name. But the celebrity chef insists the drama wasn't supposed to be part of the second season of his reality show, "The Restaurant." "I had no idea we were going to make this public," he says of the squabble with partner Jeffrey Chodorow. .... In the first two episodes of "The Restaurant," Chodorow seizes control of Rocco's and brings in his own crew to suggest cost-cutting changes. The tension is obvious and ripe for drama. Full Story
(Zap2it.com) The WB is prepping a new talent show that parrots the formula of FOX's smash "American Idol," but rewards the worst singers instead of the most talented. No, the network hasn't purchased rebroadcast rights for "Canadian Idol." The WB will unveil their new secretive Lack-of-Talent Show "The WB's Superstar USA" during May sweeps. Full Story"Real star or reality star?" (USA Today) "To many in Hollywood, reality stars like Bachelorette Trista Sutter and hubby Ryan aren't 'real stars.'""Paris and Nicole have landed." (USA Today) "Both said they had a great time on the trip, in which they visited numerous families and worked various jobs, including playing theme-park mermaids, herding cattle, making sausages and working as chambermaids in a nudist colony." Full Story"TV to lift lid on family life in 21st century" (Scottsman.com News) TELEVISION chiefs plan to sign 12 families to a reality show that will be the largest and most in-depth social experiment in television history. Endemol, the independent media company which was behind the popular reality show Big Brother, and the BBC plan to create a show that will dissect every aspect of life in modern Britain. Full StoryLast Night: Bill won the job on The Apprentice - It seems that the deciding factor was the fact that Kwame let Omarosa stay around after she lied to him. Also the fact that Kwame didn't 'mico-manage' enough. Survivor All-Stars: "Boston" Rob won immunity and Kathy got the boot. Down to seven now. John Peter Lewis was eliminated tonight on American Idol 3 - the others in the bottom three were John Stevens (the red-headed crooner) and Diana DeGarmo - Diana was saved 1st so I would assume John Stevens got the second lowest votes. Mad
Mad House: Noel was eliminated after Lona told the alts he had lied
about not taking cold medicine anymore - she later denied actually saying
that - but she certainly implied it. On
a side note - its REALLY hard not to laugh at Don the "Vampire" - I still
think he is a Marilyn Manson wanna-be that decided to get his teeth capped
after he realized that Marilyn was losing popularity - but thats just my
opinion ;)
4/15/04 Tonight: Set your VCRs or Tivo if you want to catch all the shows on tonight. American Idol 3 (30 minute elimination show), The Apprentice (Finale - 2 hours), Survivor All-Stars, Mad Mad House Other: I caught Lex from Survivor All-Stars on Regis and Kelly yesterday - he REALLY is mad at Rob and says they were good friends before the show but not anymore. He rationalized how it was ok for him to in effect betray Ethan but not ok for Rob to betray him by explaining that he and Ethan had an understanding and he informed Ethan that he was going before the vote - just as Ethan had asked. Yesterday I posted excerpts
from comments Adam Mesh made on his website about himself, Samantha and
Rachel on my Average Joe Page -
check it out if you have not read them - its the closest thing to news
for Adam I have come across - and yes - it appears he and Samantha are
still a couple.
Last Night: American Idol 3 - here is who sang what - and the numbers to call: George
Huff 1-866-436-5701 (Against
All Odds)
The
Bachelor: And the Spy is........
4/14/04 Tonight: American Idol 3: So due to the Presidents news conference last night, you will see the singing tonight - it was taped yesterday. The show will be live again tommorow as one of the final eight will be sent packing. The Bachelor: The "spy" will be revealed tonight. Jesse eliminates 6 more ladies. Who might the spy be? Click here if you want to see a couple guesses. Dateline NBC will show some of the original Apprentice audition tapes - and you can chat with Sam, Ereka and Kristi at 8pm (EST) tonight. Other: News Tidbits: "New reality show gives exes another shot"
4/13/04 Tonight: For me it will be a quiet night - American Idol 3 will not be on Tuesday - it will be taped and shown Wednesday - then the results will be shown live on Thursday. This is because President Bush will be having a news conference on Tuesday night. Quentin Tarantino will be the celebrity host - the theme will be movie songs.
More shows on tonight:
Queer
Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo):
"Meet Lawson, the show's first straight guy subject, along with Sam, Charlie
and James — three previously unknown members of the Fab Five. Learn the
untold story of the how it all began in a special presentation of the never-before-seen
pilot episode."
Joe Schmo season II will begin June 15th (yay!!). Apparently this go round there is a Jane Schmo as well (an unsuspecting female). For those that missed the original show - imagine a reality show like Big Brother - where only one person is not an actor - everyone but that person ('Joe') is in on the act. It was a great show on Spike TV. Ralph Garman apparently returns to host this version as well. "Trump: I Haven't Decided 'Apprentice' Winner Yet"- As of last week, when Trump and (Mark) Burnett talked to reporters about the show, Trump hadn't decided whether he would choose Jackson or Rancic to run one of his divisions, at an annual salary of $250,000. He likes both men. Full Story Added info on new(er) shows The Ross Show, Blow Out, Rally Round The House, Overhaulin', and American Candidate in the Shows area. Updated the Joe Schmo description. 4/12/04 Tonight: The Swan moves to its permanent slot on Monday's with the second show in the series. I have just added new video clips on my Swan Page. With no Average Joe on - NBC only has Fear Factor - tonight's will have Miss USA contestants who will appear after the show Miss USA padgent. Next week Family Plots will make its debut on A&E with two 30 minute episodes. The official page is finally up for the show and I saw some promos last night. Other: Still almost no news on the Adam Mesh - Samantha Trenk front since last weeks final Average Joe III show. The most recent item from him I was able to find last week was a couple of posts to his official site on April 6th (excerpts and links to the full posts on my Average Joe page). Even the official page has no news besides the recap of the final episode. I keep checking though and will be sure to make a post when I hear something. Last Night: Nick and Jessica (Newlyweds) had their "Variety" show on last night - I did watch it - or parts of it.Brought back memories of Sonny and Cher or Donnie and Marie. It was ok - but I sure as heck would not make a point of tuning in if it was on every week. Trading Spaces: Home Free - The Yellow Team (Vilma and Angel) beat the Lavender Team (Glen and Justine) with 55% of the vote - the closest voting yet. The Semi-final show last night was the Red Team (Smitty & Angela) vs the Light Blue Team (Jon & Stacy). Click here to vote.* Another

4/10/04 Tonight: Nashville Star Last Night:
My Forever Eden recap is partially
done. No one was eliminated last night.
4/9/04 Tonight: Forever Eden will be on. I'll be recapping it here. Last Night: I haven't gotten to watch all of Apprentice (ok any of it) and only got to watch Survivoe out of the corner of my eye - but here is what happened on both shows as far as who was eliminated. Survivor All-Stars: Lex got the boot and looked pretty disenchanted with Rob who is reaaally coming across looking bad this time - not that he looked great last time he was on Survivor. No way in the world will he win it all - too many backs stabbed. The Apprentice: First Nick and then Amy were fired. More details after I watch the show. Kwame and Bill will fight it out next week in the finale. Mad
Mad House: hmmm - not sure yet - I do know the folks on the Sci Fi
board all got a kick out of the blood drinking ceremony performed by Don
the vampire wanna be. Upon
further review - no one was eliminated and unfortunatly the show was only
on thats night (Thursday) and will not repeat.
4/8/08 Tonight: Survivor All-Stars: This week we get the "merge" and someone gets themselves in hot water when they make more promises than they can keep, not that that is unusual, but this time they apparently get caught doing it. The Apprentice: Two of the final four will apparently be sacked in the first 20 minutes. Which means we'll have 2 left and get to watch just them for the rest of tonight's show and a good portion of next weeks two hour "Live" finale. Mad
Mad House: The "game playing" has really picked up as some of the contestants
feel they have the "Alts" fooled. This
quirky show is interesting to watch and if you have already made it through
the blood baths and Art hanging by hooks, I am sure you will tune in to
see the 'vampire' Don drink blood tonight. Oh and something
like "the most shocking elimination yet."
Other:
Speaking of that catch phrase - check
out my new page where I hope
to list all the goofy ways Chris
Harrison, host of the Bachelor
series, teases the Rose Ceremonies. It is kinda bare at the moment
but I hope to add to it very soon.
Things are still very quiet on the Adam Mesh and Samantha Trenk front - I will post anything I find here and/or on my Average Joe page!!!
If you watch daytime TV and like The Apprentice I guess you should check out Oprah today - Omarosa and Ereka will be on and according to Donald, "(they) go at it like you would not believe..... I have never seen so much hatred in my life." Link to Story "'Apprentice' biz is getting personal" - A story about the folks from The Apprentice being on Oprah today. I was watching VH1 yesterday - some show about celebrity romances - and guess who was one of the folks commenting? It was Melana Scantlin from Average Joe 1. He occupation was listed as "TV Personality." Queer
Eye for the Straight Girl?? - according to this
article is will hit Bravo in early 2005.
Last Night: The Swan: Wow - the transformations were amazing. I have to admit I did not watch the whole show - just half watched a lot of it and tuned in at the end to see the new looks. I was very annoyed with the doctors and other folks calling themselves the "Swan Team" and patting themselves on the back like they were creating new people - a lot of them came across as very self-important to me and I just didn't like it. Kelly and Rachel were the two ladies this evening and they really did both look amazingly different. I guess the way the show will work is that after 8 weeks half the women will have been eliminated and the remaining women will participate in the "Swan" competition. Tonight Kelly A. was eliminated - she was not too dissapointed however since she was so happy about her new look. I do have a problem with the idea that these women never see themselves for the three months they are having themselves transformed. Heck even on the sound stage where the final scenes were filmed I could see panes of glass reflecting images - I am supposed to believe the women could not see themselves in those before they curtain was pulled and the mirror revealed? The Bachelor: Well well well... I did watch the second half of the show tonight. It was a typical beginning where all the ladies show up and Jesse Palmer was to eliminate 10 of the 25 women at the first Rose Ceremony. One twist was the "Spy" (more on that in a minute) and Jesse was given a "First Impression Rose" to hand out to one woman - thus she was safe before anyone else. At the Rose Ceremony Jesse announced to Chris that he had made a mistake at the end - that he had said "Katie" instead of "Karen" as the person to receive the last rose. So after much talking Chris gave him the option to ask Katie to stay after explaining his mistake and then also invite Karen to stay. Thats the route he took. Katie decided to stay despite the 'mistake.' As for the spy (a plant that is actually a friend of Jesse's there to listen in and give him advice) - it would appear that she is a shorter brunette (unless ABC is faking that to fool the audience). That being the case - guess who I think the "spy" is? My guess is Katie. If I am right then the "mistake" was done to throw people off and Katie was in on it from the beginning. Not going to list all 16 women that continue on - when it gets down to a few I will start keeping track :) Oh - and there was teasing about a "Stalker" - thats pushing it a bit far - its not like some woman could have actually stalked him on a TV show set - but I guess they want the hype and gossip. One last note - I just created a "Rose Ceremony Quote" page to gather all the variations on the "Most Exciting Rose Ceremony Ever" quotes. Click For The Quote Page ***Update - well I might be completely wrong on my guess as to who is the spy - this Zap2it article names someone else and their logic might be better than min... American Idol 3: Just to mix things up a bit (and to make the show last the idiotic hour) - Ryan announced that he would reveal three groups. One would have the highest votes, one the middle, and one with the lowest votes (three in each). The three groups (wow - shows you how odd the voting is):
From Group A - Diana was not
the lowest - so now it is between Jasmine and Camile. I can't believe
it - they are both going to sing their songs AGAIN before we find out who
is gone. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH....... Thankfully after singing we did not
have to sit through yet another commercial - we find out Camile Velasco
was eliminated.
4/7/04 Tonight: The Bachelor: Season Five begins with 25 women and Jesse Palmer, NFL quarterback. Oh - they added a 'twist this go-round - one of the 25 women is actually a friend of Jesse's and will be spying on the women and will let him know what is being said. I have not been able to get into this show since Andrew Firestone was on it (Bachelor 3) - so don't expect much but the barest info from this site. The Swan: Set for 9 episodes - basically from the sounds of it we will see 8 weeks of "extreme makeovers" and a two hour finale where the women compete to be named a 'winner' of some type. According to the press release we will see two makeovers a week. But there are 17 women so either they cram in an extra one week or maybe one of them quits. This show will move to Mondays after tonights premiere. American Idol 3: So we are down to nine and one gets eliminated tonight. What in the world are they going to do for an hour then? My guess is at least one silly cast video, and then Tamyra Gray (American Idol One) will perform "Raindrops Will Fall," from her album that will be released in June. I haven't a clue who will be eliminated - the voting has been crazy this year.
Other: Things are still very quiet on the Adam Mesh and Samantha Trenk front - I have yet to read any type of follow up news article but I keep looking - I will post anything I find here and/or on my Average Joe page!!! Last Night: American Idol 3 - here are the numbers to call and the songs each person sang: Fantasia
Barrino 1-866-436-5701 (Something About the Way You Look...)
4/6/04 Tonight: American Idol 3 - the contestants will be singing Elton John songs and I will post the phone numbers here as soon as I have them. Other: Average
Joe 3: Here is an six minute interview from yesterday on the "Today"
show - Katie Couric interviewed Adam and all five finalists -
its interesting to watch now that we know how it ends. Link

Big Brother 5 open casting calls - more dates listed. Check the BB5 area. Bachelor news, "The newest "Bachelor" isn't saying much about the woman he chose on the ABC dating show. He is, however, already calling her "the missus." Not that anyone should read much into that. Jesse Palmer, the New York Giants quarterback who stars in the fifth edition of "The Bachelor," says "the missus" is just a nickname at this point, not a legal title. As to whether the nickname portends a wedding, all he'll say is "Ooh -- it's a good question. We're gonna have to find out." Full Story Apprentice news, "Fried chicken giant KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken to people who recall the chain before its rebranding) thinks that the runner-up on NBC's "The Apprentice" will make a perfect fast food employee. But rather than just giving the loser a chance to ask, "Do you want mashed potatoes and gravy with that," the company is offering a limited time high profile gig." Full Story The Swan news, The 17 Contestants Names Released:
Adam says he was dissapointed that he and his parents were not "on the same page" - according to Adam he was more interested in Samantha than Rachel - and now he was questioning himself. If he wanted a wife and a family right now then Rachel would be the choice, if he wanted someone to date and have a good time with then it would be Samantha he would choose. Jump ahead... Adam meets Samantha Trenk at the plane/bus first - and chooses her. He then rejects Rachel Goetz. Rachel's comments to the camera on the bus after being rejected were that she thinks Adam made the wrong choice, that she was there for the right reasons and Samantha wasn't. Sooo - here I sit thinking..... if I had to characterize Samantha and Rachel and put one in the "Average" catagory and one in the "Hunk" catagory to compare it to Average Joe One & Two then I would put Samantha as the 'hunk' (self centered, extroverted, selfish, thinking of 'fame', living for the moment.) and Rachel as the "average' (all those things the 'hunk' isn't). Looking at it that way it seems to me that Adam selected exactly what Larissa and Melana did - the person that was not looking for a real commitment. Ahh well - just goes to show ya the nice guy (gal) almost always finishes last. My

Trading Spaces: Home Free: With 83% of the vote - the Red Team won last weeks contest. The Semi-final show tonight was the Yellow Team (Vilma and Angel) vs the Lavender Team (Glen and Justine). Click here to vote. Another option is tocall:
Voting ends at 2am Eastern Things seemed a bit more
'tense' at the end of the show - these two couples are strangers and I
have to wonder if the Yellow team would have reacted differently if the
same room had been done by friends (they were just kinda lukewarm to their
new room). I wonder if they thought it would be best not to act too
pleased with their room so it would seem they did a better job if the Lavender
team acted happier about their room (which they did).
4/4/04 Tonight: High School Reunion, the beginning of round 2 of Trading Spaces: Home Free, No Extreme Makeover: Home Edition tonight (ABC is showing "The Ten Commandments"). Last Night: Donald Trump was on Saturday Night Live last night - its was very funny- The Donald had no trouble poking fun at himself. Nashville Star: The show began with Willie Nelson singing "Whiskey River." The contestants all sang Willy Nelson songs. A change this week in the way they announced the eliminated contestants - most likely designed to keep you hanging on through the whole show. They did not announce the eliminated contestants at the beginning - they announced each person that had made it as they began to perform - then when there were three left they announced one who was eliminated, then the final performer. 4/3/04 Tonight: Nashville Star - 8 contestants remain two will be eliminated at the beginning of the show - and Willie Nelson will perform - I wil try to do a live re-cap tonight when the show airs. Last
Night: Forever Eden: You can
find a detailed show recap on my Forever
Eden Recaps page.
Simon was introduced as Chris, and he brought back Jordan to the show.
The two of them then decided to kick off Michael (who was asking to be
kicked off). Michael left with $14,000 and gave $14,000 to Kassie.
4/2/04 Tonight: For those that didn't know - Playing it Straight has been pulled from the air - see this page for details. Forever Eden will be on tonight on Fox where "Simon" will go from servant to cast member. Other: According to TVGUIDE, "CBS will pair new seasons of Big Brother and The Amazing Race on Tuesday nights this summer beginning July 6. Brother will also air on Thursday and Saturday." More Big Brother open casting dates have been released by CBS - info on my BB5 Page. One more note realted to both Big Brother and Amazing Race. According to the Futon Critc, Alison Irwin from Big Brother Four will compete with her boyfriend Donny in Amazing Race 5. Why do I think she will have even more people disliking her by the end of that show? If you have a few minutes to spare here are a couple funny clips featuring William Hung of American Idol fame (you know the guy that sings "She Bangs"): Average Joe III news:
The
Apprentice: Amy recounts last week's boardroom and the fact she told
Donald she thought Bill was her biggest competition. This doesn't sit well
with Nick of course. The
contestants are summoned to Donald's penthouse. Troy says he thinks
Kwame is his biggest competition and that they have become good friends.
Bill, being their partner has noticed that fact and says he needs to take
that into consideration down the road. Donald meets the 5 remaining
contestants at a vacant penthouse on the 90th floor of Trump World Tower.
It is apparently only rented out for special occasions. Donald challenges
the two teams to rent the Penthouse out for the most money for one night
(minimum $20,000). They have about 10 hours to do this. The
winners get to fly to Donalds estate in Florida. The losers end up
in the boardroom. Troy will manage his team this time. Nick
and Amy don't need one to be in charge since no one can be saved if they
lose. Protege (Tony, Kwame and Bill) find out the most it has ever
been rented for is $40,000 - they begin calling event planners to arrange
appointments. Nick and Amy bring in event planners and Amy does not
like the way Nick handles himself with the planners.
After a commercial we watch Bill, Troy and Kwame with a client - Bill comments
that he does not like Troys technique - that it is like selling a car.
Amy and Nick are not having much success either. Back to Troy and
company - Troy has someone offering $32,000 - but then someone else is
interested - so Protege tries to juggle the two clients. One client
said they felt they were being hustled so they bailed - Protege signed
the other client for $35,000. With 35 minutes to go Amy and Nick
seemed to not have anyone. Then with 2 minutes before the deadline
a client returns and wants to bid - Nick throws out a number and the client
agrees - we are not told what the number is however. In the boardroom
the numbers are revealed......Donald congradulates Protege on their $35,001
offer - Versacorp however secured the penthouse for $40,800. Either
Troy, Kwame or Bill are gone. My guess is that Troy will save
Kwame and it will be between him and Bill... Nick and Amy will
jet off to Florida. After a commercial we see Amy and
Nick get on the jet - and they are joined by Amy's sister and Nicks dad
- they spend the day in Florida at Trumps mansion. In the boardroom
Troy decides to save Bill. He felt that Bill has done more and Kwame
has been more of a supporting person (not leading). In front of Donald
both argue their case - Donald says it comes down to an man with no education
(Troy) vs a man with a Harvard education (Kwame) - because the position
will deal with multi-million dollar corporations Donald decides to fire
Troy.
Mad
Mad House : Eric and Noel are plotting to get Nicole out - Eric
feels he has Fiona (the witch) fooled - refering to himself as a "puppet
master." The
guests witness Art hang himself by hooks stuck through his back - he even
holds Nicole while suspended - it was quite the thing to see. In
the immunity challenge the guests were paired up and had to untie themselves
from a rope that was knotted (hmm seems like I recall a similar challenge
on Big Brother one year). Eric
and Loana were paired up and won - Eric says he let Loana have immunity.
At the eviction/banishment/whatever ceremony Nicole and Jamie each got
one necklace, but Tim got 3 and was evicted. The teaser for
next week shows some if not all of the guests getting naked with Avacodo,
Don the Vampire drinking blood, and uses a term from The
Bachelor when promising, "The most shocking elimination ceremony
yet."
4/01/04 Tonight: Even though Forever Eden has now moved on to Fridays there are still several shows to catch tonight and if you are like me - you don't even have to tape one while watching the other. First up is Survivor All-Stars: I haven't a clue what tonights "twist" will be although it has been implied that the teams will not merge as they expect. I tend to not like to have my reality 'game' shows spoiled so I don't go looking for inside info. I will however post the results on this site shortly after the show - which means if you are anywhere but the East Coast or Mid-west (I am in Indiana) - stay away until after it has aired in your area if you don't want to get "spoiled." After Survivor you can watch The Apprentice: Its down to 4 guys and one girl. Sooner or later they will have to all work as a team or all as individuals but tonight it appears Nick and Amy will square off against the other three guys. Finally for me will be
the second airing of Mad Mad House
(its
on at the same time as The
Apprentice but also re-airs at 11pm EST): The big thing happening
on tonights show (besides someone getting kick off as always) will be Art
suspending himself by hooks stuck through his back.
Stay away if that kinda stuff migh bother you ;)
Other: The Apprentice II - Open casting calls in three cities this weekend.
