2/29/04 Casting Calls (if any) for Forever Eden will be posted on my new Forever Eden News page. Two open calls are listed for March 5th and 6th. I have also found a very good site to locate casting calls by city (craigslist.org) - I created searches for it - check here. I am putting together a Forever Eden Area because I get the feeling this will be a show I will be watching and its going to be around for at least 6 months. With
the Oscars on tonight there will not be an episode of Extreme
Makeover Home Edition. There will still be the second episode
of Dream Job on ESPN.
2/28/04 Forever Eden's official site is finally up and running - you can check it out HERE. Casting
news - WB is casting for High School Reunion 3 - link added on the casting
page.
2/27/04 Last Night: Survivor All-Stars - The reward challenge involved rafts - the big twist was that the losing tribe was dissolved - and the remaining teams picked the members of that tribe to add to theirs.... Mogo Mogo also got fishing materials. They also got the rice but it was half rotten from the storms. Mogo Mogo was first Chapera was second - so the Saboga tribe was dissoved... Etan to Mogo Mogo .... Rupert went to Chapera...... Jerri went to Mogo Mogo and Jenna went to Chapera (last). Immunity Challenge - Chapera won immunity by moving 20 red flags across a maze of raised wooden paths. When opposing teams would come up against each other they would fight to knock each other into a pool of water. Mogo Mogo faces their first elimination. Much plotting ensues and a previous agreement to eliminate Ethan is proposed to be changes (by Colby) and eliminate Richard. Then Jerri starts suggesting that Colby be the one to go...... we are kept guessing as the tribal council looms. Jerri lets Richard know - Richards says he agrees to vote out Colby. Kathy seems to be the swing vote........The voting.... Ethan (Richard) - Shii Ann (Richard) - Jerri (Richard) - Richard (Colby) - Lex (Richard) - Colby (Richard) - Kathy (Richard) Richard is gone....Yup - that goes to show you the editing - the vote was 6-1 to eliminate Richard and we were supposed to think it would be close. The Apprentice - Quick and Dirty - Erika is gone - she was the manager of her teams effort to seel bottled water (Trump Ice) - she selected Bill and Nick to go with her to the boardroom on the assumption Nick would go. She admitted to some extent saving Katrina from the boardroom because of the friendship (well - not in so many words but it was apparent thats why she did it). Donald told Erika she was too emotional in her handling of the task (she got really upset when the accounts were being totaled). So its down to eight - I would expect individual competitions or a re-shuffling of the teams again as they are currently 5 vs 3. By
the way - catching up on Wednesday night - on American
Idol 3 Amy and Latoya advanced.
2/25/04 Forever Eden news: The teasers have been running this week for Fox's new show, yet the home page remains empty (Check Back Soon has been the only message for weeks). Fox did finally release the names of the first 11 cast members and here they are:
Yet another new reality show announced - this one has Mark Burnett working with Sly Stalone. "The Contender" was picked up by NBC and will look for the next "Rocky." New Story Link The article also mentions that there is a second boxing-themed reality show in the works involving George Foreman. I have added another show to the casting page last night and have been slowly updating the "Hosts" page I created with links and a few pictures to current and former reality show hosts. The show I added is called "Guess Who's Coming to Decorate?" on the Style Network. Since I don't get that channel I have no idea if its worth watching - the only reason I found out about it is because a former Junkyard Wars host, Tyler Harcott, is hosting it. They are casting though so if you live in the NY area you might check it out. Tonight: : The Bachelorette 2 : its the two hour finale tonight. I just can't get into the straight romance shows like Bachelor and Bachelorette. I need a twist to keep me interested (Like on Average Joe). Todd TV : I never got to watch last weeks show even though I had it on tape, I hope to catch up tonight since this is aobut the only show tonight that interests me. By my count there are only two shows left. American Idol 3: See my comments below.... Last Night- American Idol 3: One person sure to be moving on will be LaToya who wowed the crowd (and judges) last night. Second place will be a toss-up. Several girls sang better than any of the guys in my opinion but you can never count a guy out if enough ladies out there like him. Both Eric or Jonmight move on. Amy or Leah might also garner enough votes to be the second person moving on. America's
Next Top Model: Sara was eliminated.
2/24/04 Tonight: American Idol 3: Here are the people on tonights show: Elizabeth
1-866-436-5701 (I Wanna Dance with Somebody)
And on UPN America's Next Top Model News: Mavericks Owner to Become Reality TV Host "DALLAS - Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will give away $1 million of his own money this summer as the host of an ABC reality series called "The Benefactor."More Casting News: New show on NBC called "Design Intervention" (working title). Link and info on the casting page. Honestly this sounds like a complete rip-off of Extreme Makeover Home Edition (which in turn is a rip off of Monster House). Last Night: Average Joe II - Well - one more show to go.... as I guessed Fredo decided not to go on with the show after seeing Larissa and James on a romantic date. He left the show and Larissa announced she would visit each of the remaining 3 guys homes. The only visit shown on this show was with James. Which, long story short made sense because the entire visit we see Larissa coming to the conclusion that under the hunky exterior, there just wasn't much to James (no offense James where ever you are). So we see Larissa NOT ask James to get on the plane with her as the show ended. Then with the tease for the final show we saw Larissa on dates with Gil and Brian in their respective home towns - and she apparently reveals something to both guys that surprises them both (ya got me what it might be). Then the teasing as to who she might choose and hints Brian may say "I Love You." Gotta say that my prediction is this show will end just like last time. With the girl choosing the hunk and telling the average joe that she really does care about him but is not ready to get as serious as he seems to be at the moment. We'll see next week.
My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance - Hey there - not a bad ending.... It all got very tense for a while and the last and final twist was thrown in when Steve did not follow the "script" Randi was expecting and revealed the hoax to everyone, THEN he revealed the double hoax to Randi, and finally gave Randi and her family each a check for 500k. Apparently everything is ok now, Randi is planning on traveling with her family to Ireland for her father's 50th birthday in the near future. Littlest
Groom - Glen picked one of the "little" women
(Mika) over an "average" height woman (Zoe). I
still think that the folks on these types of shows are asked to intentionally
leave a person in they would have eliminated sooner just to make things
more interesting. If Glen had really had his choice of a final two
I think he would have had Maxie (another 'little' person) in the finals
with Mika.
2/23/04 Tonight: My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance: Season Finale - be ready for many more tears, and we will finally find out if Randi gets the million or nada. I am betting she gets something, can't wait to see how everyone reacts when they find out they have been fooled (including Randi). Littlest Groom - This show is the lead-in to MBFOF - and I have no idea who he will choose a 'avarage' size woman or a 'little' woman. Average Joe II - NOT the finale of this show - we still have another week to go, I am guessing the final 'average guy will be Brian, other than that I am not sure. I suspect that next week Larissa will choose the hunk whomever it is (James or Gil). This show starts 30 minutes early following a 90 minute Fear Factor. Other
shows tonight: Real
World/Road Rules Challenge, House
of Dreams, Airline
Dream
Job: Even though it ran long (almost 90 minutes) this was an interesting
show. 6 of the final 12 folks did their own mini-broadcast and a
panel of 4 judges (and one audience vote) decided whick one got the boot.
My
biggest problem with this method is that the voting was open from the beginning
of the show (you have to register on the site to vote). This meant
that the 1st person to go had the most exposure, and guess what? Mike Hall
was the 1st and even though he was far from the worst he got the most votes
from the viewers (a bad thing). You could tell he was shocked when
his name was announced as the leading audience vote-getter. Luckily
for him the judges eliminated another member (Chris) after a tie-breaker.
The winner will be announced on March 28th. The other 6 make thier
first appearance next Sunday.
2/22/04 Tonight: The Surreal Life 2: Season Finale- "The series reaches its raucous finale with a visit from talk show host Sally Jessy Raphaël, who leads a panel discussion that turns into a no-holds-barred encounter session with the entire group, leaving Trishelle in tears. That evening, the housemates party it up one last time as they exchange gifts and enjoy their last supper together. The following day, the Surreal-lifers pack up and go their separate ways. " (Official site). Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: "For years John Cox traveled worldwide to help churches and organizations. Meanwhile, to support her dedicated husband's endeavors, his wife, Wendy, quit her job as a nurse to stay at home and care for their three young daughters. When he received a permanent position as a youth minister, John was able to buy his family their very first home. Now their humble abode has received a complete renovation and been transformed into a real dream house, courtesy of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." (Official Site). Dream
Job: Premires live tonight at 10pm on ESPN.
2/20/04 Last Night: Eliminated From Survivor All-Stars: Rob C. (Survivor Amazon) from Chapera who lost their first immunity challenge. "Boston Rob" (Who drives me nuts) said he was the one in control of who went home. Everyone voted for him - he voted for Alicia (Outback). The show ended with a teaser about "The first big twist" next week. The Apprentice: Katrina Tammy and Bill were up to be fired (Katrina was in charge of a renovation project) - Mr. Trump fired Tammy. 2/19/04 Tonight: The Apprentice, Survivor All-Stars - I will be watching both!! :) Last Night: American Idol 3: I picked the final 3 - whoo hoo - and Lisa didn't make it - it is Camile and Matt. I Camille was the best - I think Matt was not as good last night as Lisa but made it because he is a guy and I am sure the ladies were voting for him. I was hoping he would make it though because I just like his personality. Celebrity Mole...... Dennis Rodman won ($220,000)... and the mole is.......Angie Everhart!!!! DANG - I was wrong!!!!!!!! Mark Curry lost.. but I swear he lost a lot of money on purpose to fool others. The
Mole
Todd
TV: On Tape - all I have seen so far is Todd working out so I
assume he was told to follow the female roomates directions (not what he
was hoping for) more later...
2/18/04 Tonight: Celebrity Mole II: The final show!!! All I can say is my money is still on Mark Curry as being the Mole but I could be completely wrong as well. American Idol 3: Two more folks will move on - your guess is as good as mine as to who they are since none of them got very good reviews from the judges. I am betting Lisa will move on and hoping Matt will as well but Camile might beat him out (I did like her as well). Todd TV: We get to see who's directions Todd has to follow with his lifestyle for the rest of this shows run - his male toomate or his females. Either way expect to see Todd get an enima on the show (yikes!!) - the other thing we will find out is if Todd has to cut his song demo as a solo act or with the help of the band he played with last night, B9. The Bachelorette 2: "With only three men left, it's time for the romantic dream dates. Then, three men, two roses — who will Meredith say goodbye to next?" (yup - I just cut it from the official site) On MTV: Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, Til Death Do Us Part: Dave and Carmen Last Night: American Idol 3 - after last week this week was kind of a dissapointment.... this group seemed much more nervous. Personally I like Matt but his song wasn't a knock out last night. A couple of the folks had just plain bad nights. Now I am sure they could sing a MILLION times better than me but last night some of them just didn't have it - seems like there was a lot of nerves. Lisa probably will move on and maybe Camile. America's
Next Top Model - update soon...
2/17/04 Tonight: American Idol 3 - Eight more people sing and we get to vote. Matt
1-866-436-5701
Other shows on tonight: Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Real World San Diego, America's Next Top Model, The Osbournes Season 3 Last Night: Average Joe II - Mike (hunk) and Tony (average) are sent home. Mike wasn't a shock but Tony sure was!!! Ok now that you know the end - a few thoughts. They went on group dates which ended up with Larissa picking one guy from each group - yadda yadda - been there done that - nothing 'new.' Then the 'twist' that NBC was teasing all week, Larissa poses as her mom. To be honest it wasn't as 'exciting' as during Average Joe One - only because this group of guys is actually a nicer bunch (in my opinion). Only Mike (hunk) stuck his foot in his mouth and slammed Larissa's "mom." When it came time for booting out two guys Larissa got rid of Mike and (gasp) Tony. Later she said she felt she and Tony always talked about the same thing and hinted he needs to get a bit more of a sense of humor. Next weeks final show is 90 minutes long and includes "home" dates. I was sure Tony would be the final "Average Joe" so I am now clueless as whom it will be between Brian and Fredo. The preview only showed "hometown" dates with Brian (average), James (hunk) and Gil (hunk) - Fredo was shown being allowed to 'spy' on a date between Larissa and James and he was none too pleased. I am wondering if James is eliminated early in the show and then Larissa goes on the home dates with the other three. If Brian is indeed the final 'average joe' I can't see Larissa picking him - I think she has kept him around as more of a friend than as a potential romantic relationship. My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance - Another night of Steve's fake family trying to make Randi and her family crazy. Actually the show picked up right where it left off last week. Randi's siblings walked out of the wedding announcement and were not seen for a lot of the show. The comedy was poor Randi's mom and dad having to put up with Steve's family. Getting fitted for tuxedo's provided a few minutes of laughs as did Steve's "mom" when it came to selecting food for the wedding (she requested rice crispy treats and pizza rolls). The show ends with Randi's mom pretty much ordering her other children to stick it out for her. Not in a mean way, rather as in Randi would stand by them in tough times so they should stand by her. The final show is next week. Fear Factor - Jackson and Monica beat out Meghan and James for the million. NBC ticked me off by running the show past the hour by 5 minutes. Littlest Groom - An interesting show but I could not help feel as if I should feel bad for watching it. House
of Dreams - John and Vivica get the red hats and Tony is given a clean
bill of health. Some of the builders conspire to force a deadlock
hoping that John and Vivica will vote out Jim or Flor.
As it turned out Sherril pulled a fast one and kept the deadlock from happening
and John was sent home. Tony, who had seemed to be very much on John's
side, claimed that he was told by God to vote John out. Needless
to say there were fireworks on the way back to the camp. John got
$5,000 as have all the builders that have been kicked out previously.
2/16/04 Tonight: My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance - Here we go again - only two shows left!!! I promiss you Randi wins something in the end. If she didn't WHY would she participate in the promotions for the show and such? Expect many more tears tonight and lots of Steve and his family causing problems as the wedding draws near. Average Joe II - for those of you that saw the original Average Joe, you should remember when Melana dressed up in a "Fat" suit and fooled the guys. Tonight it is Larissa's turn to fool her crop of men as she don's make-up and poses as her mom. I am sure someone will eliminate themselves tonight with a stupid remark. Tune in and see. Fear Factor - last week I said 'let me know when the finals are. Well guess what? Its this week. Only three couples left so tonight its all for the money. One couple will walk away with a cool million. Littlest Groom - only a two episode show that will lead into My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance this week and next. Glenn will first meet several women of his own size and then several 'normal' (not meaning to be non-pc here but you understand what I mean) women. This one could be interesting or a train wreck. If it helps the general population learn more about people of different sizes it will be a good thing in my opinion. If it is used to simple poke fun at size-difference there will be a loud uproar. Other shows on tonight: Real World/Road Rules Challenge, House of Dreams, Airline Last Night: The Surreal Life 2 - the houseguests went to a nudist resort in Palm Beach and frolicked with the natives. Tammy did not participate. The lost a volleyball match with some of the nudists and were supposed to eat dinner nude because they lost. Everyone went fully clothed but after a couple drinks Trishelle decided to take it all off. Ron, being the gentleman he is, joined her. Traci, being the tease she is, didn't. The group then picked up Tammy and went to a Kareoke bar where Rob (Vannila Ice) was lured into rapping his famous hit "Ice Ice Baby" - he really didn't want to but in the end had a good time. Back at the resort Trishelle, Ron and Traci jumped in a hot tub with other guests, once again Ron and Trishelle were nude and Traci wasn't although she did go "bottomless." Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition - another house, another
remodeling job. This
time around the house was owned by a family with one member in Iraq with
the National Guard. But, surprise surprise, he somehow got home and
so while the rest of the family was at Disneyland (surprise surprise -
Disney and ABC are owned by the same company), the hubby helped with the
remodeling and Ty enjoyed fooling them into thinking dad was still in Iraq.
All in all a good show - designers butting heads, tears in the end, etc.
2/15/04 Tonight: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition premire as a weekly show. The
Surreal Life 2 is on - nudity seems to be a topic but thats nothing
new for this season ;)
2/14/04 I added Merge to the Shows and Casting pages - its on Lifetime and is a show along the same lines as "While You Were Out" - a newly married couple (thus the 'merge') has their living space re-done while they are away. Tonight:
Star
Search
2/13/04 Last Night: The Apprentice: The two teams sought donations from celebrities for a charity auction. Interestingly enough its the same foundation that the Survivor items are sold to benefit (Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation), I would assume this is because of Mark Burnett's tie-in. Bill led team while Omarosa led team Protégé. In the end team Versacorp won by $5,000 so Omarosa brought herself and Jesse and Heidi in front of DOnald and company where Donald pretty much ripped into both Omarosa and Jesse (Omarosa for being rude to her teamates and Jesse for taking it) and then fired Jesse. Official Re-cap. This show, while it has been compared to Survivor, does require a little different gameplay since the people going up in front of Donald don't have the final decision. In last nights episode I think Jesse made a mistake by not getting mad a Omarosa and standing up for herself. I can only guess she did this thinking she did not want to burn bridges, problem is she is now off the show since she didn't stand up for herself. Survivor
All-Stars: So we watch an entire hour of the show and honestly, not
a heck of a lot happened. I
mean the shelter building contest? What was that? Not much
of a payoff there and then in the end there is no immunity challenge because
Jenna, winner of Survivor Amazon and member of the "Mogo Mogo" tribe left
the game to go be with her mother whom it turned out passed away eight
days later. Personally I am glad she left to be with her mom but
it did make for a bit of a downer on the show. Official
Re-cap.
2/12/04 Sorry - not much of an update today and I am still recovering from going to a concert last night. For what its worth I am a huge fan of the Canadian band "Barenaked Ladies" - if the name rings a bell and you groan and think of the song "One Week" that was a hit several years ago just know that these guys are much more than one-hit wonders and give the best live shows I have ever seen. They never take themselves too seriously and always have fun. Last night was the ummmm 13th time (I think) I have seen them live since 1995. Tonight: The Apprentice and Survivor All-Stars. Last Night: American Idol 3 : Diana and Fantasia move on. Eight more contestants next Tuesday. Celebrity Mole II: No one was eliminated last night - the three remaining players just tried to earn a bit more money. Next week is the results of the final quiz and we will find out who is the mole and all the cast members will return. My money is still on mark Curry as the mole. If its not him then he tried WAY to hard to appear as the mole and I am guessing the real mole just decided to let Mark screw everything up, because he sure did. Todd TV: Ok - the results of last weeks poll.... Todd got to work with a band and also gets to date whomever he wants. Brett Michaels helped him select a band and I knew the second he chose what I would call 'punk' band "B9" (I assume the name is a play on 'benine') that they would bump heads, and they did. Todd also got reaallly drunk one night, 'blacked out' and decided to discuss that with his threapist. The two things up for vote this week are how he should live his life for the rest of the show's run (its half over now folks) - he will either follow the guidelines of his female roomate (health foods, yogo, enema's, etc) or his male roomate (a clean freak who also loveeees structure). Todd pleaded with america to choose the male roomate, going so far as to promise he will get an enima if they do (now THAT will be television - lol). The second vote is to determine if Todd cuts a demo of his sing with B9 - or does it on his own. I believe the members of b9 have promised to also get enema's if they get to work with Todd some more. Tune in next Wed. The
Bachelorette 2: Lanny got the heave-ho - down to three guys now. Full
Episode Recap.
2/11/04 Tonight: Celebrity Mole II: "Three celebs remain in the jungle paradise, and the challenges get tougher, as they face a pop quiz game that finds them searching for gold on the ocean floor before their boat sinks. Meanwhile, they're given mysterious briefcases with strict instructions not to open them....." (from the official site). I would assume the final show is next week. The Bachelorette 2: "The home town dates begin, as Meredith travels to each of the remaining four men's homes to meet their friends and families. Then, Meredith has four men, but only three roses..." (from the official site). Todd TV: Todd will find out if he has to continue dating a woman he has no interest in and if he gets to form a band or take to the street performing. American Idol 3: Only two from last nights show will move on (although the judges will get to choose a favorite from those not selected after the 3 are cut down to eight). Results tonight. Last Night: American Idol 3 - All eight of the finalists sang very well - personally I felt Fantasia was the strongest because of both her voice and the way she took her song selection and taylored it to her special voice. America's
Next Top Model : Xiomara was dismissed last night - you can chat live
with her today at 2:30pm EST - link is on the OFFICIAL
PAGE.
2/10/04 American Idol - Here are tonights contestants and the number to call to vote for each. Clicking on their name will bring up a bio & picture. Diana

Casting for Mad Mad House 2 has started. Link Last night FOX had teasers for two new shows. One I knew about the other I didn't. Forever Eden will begin March 1st - since it was created by the people that did Paradise Hotel I expect a similar show with the exception that this show has no set ending date ("Forever" - get it??). The other show is called "Playing it Straight" and though there is no official page yet from the promo it reminds me the Bravo show "Boy Meets Boy." From a Zap-2-it article..... "Premiering on Friday, March 14, "Playing it Straight" will pit one single woman, her libido and her Sexuality Spidey Senses against 14 bachelors who are either out to win her heart or to trick her. " (complete zap-2-it article) Tonight: American Idol 3 - we meet the 1st group of 8 that the public gets to vote on. Eliminations tommorow night. Other shows: Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Real World San Diego, America's Next Top Model, The Osbournes Season 3 Last Night: Average Joe II: They teams (Hunks vs Average's) square off on a contest on the beach where they are joined by Brooke Burns (Dog Eat Dog hostess) and a guy that I didn't know (I missed his intro) Brooke coaches the Average Joe's and the guy coaches the Hunks. Three competitions - surfing, water rescue and tug-of-war. Hunks lose the 1st one but win the other two. larrissa chooses one Hunk and one Joe for a mini group date (James and Thomas). On the date the two guys let teach other have some "alone" time with Larissa - it was just a nice date nothing spectacular. Then the next day they do cliff diving (jumping) and Larissa chooses Gil (Hunk) for a private date. Its a day-date and they have a nice time, Gil is friendly and does not push the romance which Larissa seems to find refreshing. Next Tony gets invited on a private date and he and Larissa end up on a boat on a pond wheree Tony presents her the picture he started painting earlier and has now finished. Cut to the guys house and the remaiing guys find a det box (like you used to see on cartoons) with a note saying "all is fair in love and war." The two Michaels (hunks) push the plunger down and this causes the boat Tony and Larissa are on to sink. Tony saves the painting and Larissa is very upset. The next day Larissa confronts the guys and the two Michaels admit they were the ones to press the plunger. Michael C. expresses a little remorse but Michael K. seems not nearly as bothered by it all. Fast forward to evictions (or banishment or whatever you want to call it). Larissa eliminates 2 from each group. From the Hunks: Michael K. and Todd. From the Joes: Brian G. and Thomas. On the way out of course you hear each guy talking about the whole program and the two hunks seemed to feel Larissa was making a mistake and they were better than her while the two 'Joes' both talked about how good a time they had had and what a wonderful lady Larissa was. My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance: Episode #4 - Randi's parents finally meet Steve and he puts on a good face the 1st day and Randi is shocked at how well he behaves. Steve tells her its because of her that he managed to act so well. Then the next morning he arrives and his his same old self (Randi does not see this) and shocks the family. Then they announce the engagement and Randi's family (the Coys) are a bit unhappy to say the least. Later than night Steves "Family" (remember they are all actors) shows up and the two families have a get-together where the actors have a great time seeing how they can push the Coy family's buttons. Randi and Steve then announce that they will be getting married in 3 days - and I had to stop watching then so I will fill in the rest later!!!! House
of Dreams (EP 6): On Tape - will watch it tonight I hope - if you want
to read the official recap you can find it HERE.
The
quick answers are that Wanda and Rochelle wore the red hats and Wanda is
the builder that has to head home.
2/09/04 Casting News: Comedy Central new reality show - casting through 2/23 - see the casting page. Tonight: My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance: Episode #4 (of 6) - Finally we get to see Randi's parents meet Steve and I would assume Randi will have the water-works on again. Yeah this can be painful to watch at times but its like a car-wreck man, I just can't turn away!!! Average Joe II: Brooke Burns (Dog Eat Dog hostess) turns up and there is a tug-of war between the hunks and "avarage joe's" - the preview clip shows Larissa getitng a bit miffed over Brooke's arrival and some type of intentional explosion while Larissa and Tony (Average) are alone. House of Dreams: What I have decided is the poor-man's Survivor continues - no matter who goes it always ends kinda nice because the "banishee" gets $5,000. I expect Sherrill to suffer some backlash for voting out Jarred after the jury dead-lock. Fear Factor: The couples competition continues, wake me when its down to 3 or less...... And the other shows: Real World/Road Rules Challenge, Airline, Monster House, American Chopper. Last
Night (Sunday): The Surreal Life
2 (which re-peats on Thursdays), Tammy had a book-signing that all
the other roomates attended except Ron (who had organized a BBQ before
he knew about the book-signing). Tammy
was very impressive in the way she handled her fans and all the roomates
were moved at her poise and sensitivity - it was really a "feel-good" segment.
I must admit the woman has a wonderful attitude about life and people and
I wish her all the best. Ron invided a very diverse group of people
to the BBQ from porn-stars to regular stars to rap stars. The roomates
returned to the party and to the dissapointment of Tammy there was some
dis-robing going on (which seems to have been encouraged by Traci.
Just as we think Traci is going ot join in on the "nekkedness," he
fiance shows up and she quickly puts on her halo. The guy is a vice-president
of some bank or some such thing and based on his apparent intelligence
and her "barbi-like" airheadedness (or is it the editing?) its apparent
he is only engaged to her for one reason (errr 2 reasons?). Then
Andy Dick (Talk Radio and other sit-coms) shows up and guess what?
He knows Trishelle from some other mysterious meetings. Trishelle
gets drunk (agaaaiiinnn) and hits on Rob who pushes her away (agaaaiiinnnn)
and so Any steps in and puts her to bed with a few kisses goodnight (we
assume nothing more happens). Thus ends another episode of The
Surreal Life 2.
2/06/04 Ahh - the weekend is almost here.. time to catch up on REAL life!! TLC will have lots of their shows on as usual and MTV, Discovery, etc will all be re-peating their stuff as well. Stay warm!!! I'll add more later on today or this weekend. Casting - NBC is now casting for "The Apprentice II" - deadline is 3/4/2004 - Casting Page. Last Night: On Survivor All-Stars Rudy got the boot :( - he had been having a rough time of it but he was still surprised in the end. Ethan was the other person that might have gone but it seems his Saboga tribemates decided he was the better person to keep. Jenna and Jerri joined Ethan in voting against Rudy. Rupurt and Rudy voted for Ehthan to go. Saboga did win the "luxury challenge earlier but then forfeited the blankets in place of allowing all 3 teams to get a pot and flint so they could all have fire. CBS official re-cap HERE. OnThe
Apprentice - the teams were re-made as promised. The new Versacorp
team is: Nick, Amy, Bill, Katrina, Ereka and Tammy. The new Protégé
team is: Kristi, Troy, Jessie, Kwame, Heidi and Omarosa.
Both teams were given $1000 and needed to make as much money with it as
they could by re-selling items at a flea-market. Versacorp made $600
- Protégé lost $75 including $180 that went missing.
Kristi was the manager for Protégé and was told by Jessie
to keep quiet when she went up against Omarosa and Heidi to see who got
fired. This ended up being bad advice (or planned advice?) because
Trump cited her lack of "fight" as a sign of weakness - he then fired Kristi.
NBC official re-caps HERE.
2/05/03 Tonight: The Apprentice and Survivor All-Stars square off even though they are on at slightly different times. I suspect Survivor All-Stars will out-rate the The Apprentice. I am also kind of dissapointed that the teams on the The Apprentice will be combined and re-arranged tonight - I wanted to see the women lose at least one competition before they teams were re-done. A repeat of Episode #2 of the Surreal Life is on WB tonight where, "All hell breaks loose when the housemates report to work at Mel's Drive-in." Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges are also on this episode.
Last Night: Celebrity Mole II: Tracey got the ax last night - so the final 3 are Angie Everhart, Mark Curry, and Dennis Rodman. A couple things I noticed last night.... Angie didn't try to keep Mark from winning a competition - I think that was because she thinks he is the mole and if he had won an exemption it would not have mattered since the Mole is never eliminated. Tracey also felt the Mole was either Dennis or Mark so she gave the exemption she got to Dennis - which seems to indicate she felt he was the mole. So I wasn't surprised to see Tracey eliminated. If Dennis is the mole then he did an excellent job and Mark has done a great job acting the part. If Dennis is the mole than he did a lousy job - at least the way I see it. Finals next week. Todd TV - hmmm what to say? Todd got to meet another guy named Todd and was told he was his replacement if he did not shape up and stop complaining so much. He then moved to a new place that was supposebly the result of a fan e-mail (who knows). Same job but he got to actually work with Brett Michaels this time. He went on a date with Gina and then we discovered he has a 'girlfriend' (of sorts) named Andrea - so he really is not interested in Gina.... (ughhh). He got the "Rock Star" makeover which wasn't as extreme as the one shown last week. The two items to vote on were if he should form a band or perform on the street and if he should continue to date Gina. The Bachelorette 2 - down to 4 guys after last night and I still haven't watched much - sorry :( American
Idol 3 - now its finally down to 32 contestants,
FINALLY!!! No big news they just had to eliminate 55 last night so
there was a lot not shown. The
guys did lousy in general to the point where Simon predicted their might
be a final 12 of all women.
2/04/04 Its the busy night for reality tv - Celebrity Mole II: Its down to four people which means only a couple shows left. My money at the moment is on Mark Curry being the mole. The Bachelorette 2: Still haven't gotten into it - might when we get to the final 2 or 3 guys - lol. Todd TV: Episode 3 - Todd will be told which of 2 women to spend more time with and get a makeover. Live voting after until 5am tommorow. American Idol 3: 30 people were eliminated last night - tonight 55 more will be gone and we will be down to the 32 that folks will actually get to vote on. Other
Shows: Newlyweds:
Nick and Jessica,
Til
Death Do Us Part: Dave and Carmen
2/03/04 Yet another article on the Janet Jackson incident.... no its not really a reality show thing I guess but its certainly a hot topic. This one is all about what Janet was wearing - I was mistaken calling it a "pasty" - live and learn :) Tonight: American Idol - finally the auditions are over and the 117 remaiing contestants compete to get to the part where we, the public get to vote. America's Next Top Model - Besides airing tonight it was just announced that the show has been picked up for 2 more editions.. Bravo and MTV have their shows on as well. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Real World San Diego, The Osbournes Season 3 Last
Night:
My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance - Randi met Steve's "fake" family (she thinks they are real). The show ended with Randi's family arriving in town to meet Steve. Only 3 more shows to go. American Idol - what can ya say? A highlight show of some of the others that made it - nothing really stood out to me - Tonight begins the elimination of the 117 people that made it this far. House
of Dreams (Ep 5) - Flor and Sherrill were up for eviction (they got
the red hats). The jury ended up being deadlocked which meant Flor
and Sherrill got to decide who would go - Flor convinced Sherril to vote
out Jarred so off he goes. Flor
has promised Sherril he will have the backing of her "tent" in any future
votes. She is a big big threat on this show. Flor and Jim keep
getting closer and closer which raises some eyebrows among the others since
Jim is married. After Jim and Flor were releshing their victory.
2/2/04 Sad news.... last Thursday - "Mary-Ellis Bunim, who helped launch the reality TV genre by co-creating the long-running MTV hits "The Real World" and "Road Rules," has died. She was 57." (Full Story on MTV Page) - Also a note on her company site HERE. (thanks to Kelly H. for the note) Superbowl shocker...... did you catch the Superbowl Halftime show? I am sure you have heard about it if you have not already seen it. Did you think the Janet / Justin thing was an accident? Me neither. Here is an animated GIF of the incident that is fuzzy enough that you can't see anything clearly (she had on a 'pasty' anyways). If that was an accident then I am the next winner of Survivor. Link to news article. ![]() Of course there was the streaker no one saw - here is an article about him (including a picture - he is quite famous it seems). Link to news article. Tonight: Big Fat Fiance, Average Joe II and House of Dreams will be the shows I will attempt to check out. American Idol 3 will also be on - looks like a highlight show where we are introduced to some of the folks that made it but we never saw. Casting is about to begin for The Simple Life II. Check out the Casting Page for links. Last
night as I said I caught the repeat of episode II of ToddTV.
I
thought it was a little better than episode I but still leaves a lot to
be desired. It still seems rather staged.
2/1/04 Tina was the 1st eliminated on Survivor All-Stars tonight - the show premired after the Superbowl which was won by New England 32-29. It was kind of cool to see all the people on this version and easy to get into it since they were all familiar faces from previous editions. You can see an encore of the premire on Tuesday night. A new episode will air Thursday. A few more thoughts on this version which will run through May. There are 3 teams the top two teams each week are "immune." Even though the cast members claimed to have no idea who would be on the show I have it from a very good source that at least one cast member said he/she would only participate if another member from the same season WAS NOT on. As it turns out that former cast member had already been invited so he/she had to be un-invited. No - not gonna tell who but I am happy with the way things turned out. I
am now watching the re-play of ToddTV that I missed last week - I'll fill
you in on Monday.
