5/31/04 Tonight: WB's Superstar USA : The eight finalists compete and sing songs from movie soundtracks.  Who will be eliminated?  No phone in vote on this one - you just have to see for yourself!!!

The One That Got Away:  A one-time shot on NBC  - a two hour special where a guy is re-united with seven former loves and chooses one.

5/30/04: Tonight: Two shows repeat.

WB's Superstar USA and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Last Night: The Restaurant 2:  Recaps of both episodes soon.

5/29/04 Tonight: The Restaurant 2: NBC is 'burning off' the rest of this show on Saturdays - 2 episodes tongitha and the 2 hour finale next Saturday.

Other:   I watched the 1st episode of Joe Schmo II last night (I was sent a preview tape) and I will be putting up a review this weekend hopefully on my Joe Schmo page.  I wasn't dissapointed!!

5/28/04  Other:  Casting calls galore!!!  See the Casting Page for details and links.

NBC is casting for Average Jane and "The Hilton Project" (was called "The Good Life" before).  Both currently have open calls as well.  Also casting for The Apprentice III ends June 25th.

A new show for Discovery called Dude Room is casting.

5/27/04 Tonight:  This marks the second Thursday without Survivoror The Apprentice.... whatever shall we watch???   Check out Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo - at least thats what I will be doing.

Other:  So here I am sitting with my laptop, cruising the net for info on the new show "The Ultimate Love Test" when I see the official page on ABC is now up.  I already had the information posted on the contestants on my own Ultimate love Test page but ABC had pictures.  All of a sudden the dim lightbulb above my head lit up and I realized that the "Brandon" that will be on that show has to be the very same "Brandon" that was kicked off Big Brother 4 before the show began.  Check it out for yourself.  Both "Brandons" are from Newport, CA and are 28 years old.
Brandon Showalter from Big Brother 4
"Brandon" from The Ultimate Love Test

Casting call for men who are married and want to go to Vegas!!!  A cable network pilot needs 10 men to go to Vegas to live together and compete in the "wildest, craziest frat house known to man."   Check it out on my "other casting calls" page.

NBC has announced a new "reality" show titled "The Biggest Loser" - it will be about weight loss the 'natural' way (no surgery).  Casting is apparently beginning but there are no official postings yet.  I will get the info on the casting page as soon as it is available.

Last Night: American Idol 3: 65 million votes between the two finalists - and the winner is...

Fantasia Barrino -   What more to say?  I can't believe Fox dragged out the show two hours and revealed the winner in the last seven minutes.

Bachelor, After the Final Rose..... The producers of this show may have lost some "old faithful" fans this past week with the stunts they apparently pulled to try to increase viewers.  The apparently "fake" leak of cell phone pictures and bringing back Trish annoyed quite a few die-hard fans.  Lets not forget Trish was eliminated 4th from last - where was Mandy J. ??  The only reason to bring Trish back was to stir up controversy and the ploy succeeded, but at the cost of making this season seem sleezier than previous editions in my opinion.

5/26/04 Tonight: So its American Idol 3 and The Bachelor, "After The Final Rose" - hmmm which one to watch.... Does it really matter who wins Idol tonight?  Obviously it didn't hurt Clay that he placed second. In the long run Fantasia will be the one with the bigger career in my opinion.  Diana is very similar to a lot of other women out there, and she is only 16.  Fantasia, besides being better (ok - thats my opinion), is also older and more 'unique.'

As for "After The Final Rose" - whats to be gained by watching it?  The rumors have flown, the New York Post reported tidbits (see below) including the fact that no, none of the ladies is pregnant, and explaining that Tara stormed off the set after Trish brought up Tara's comments to Jesse after she didn't get a ring (the "innapropriate conduct' stuff).  All in all it will be a pretty boring night for me but I am sure I will watch both shows.

Other: I have created a Superstar USA page since the offical site on WB doesn't have any contestant pictures or bio's to speak of.  I will be updating it over the next few days as I have time.

The NY Post has info on tonights "After The Final Rose" show.....

"Tara, whose heart was broken on national TV when she was dumped, stormed off the set of "After The Final Rose" last Saturday while it was being taped.  <snip> Host Chris Harrison tried to address rumors that Jessica (Bowlin) was now pregnant.   <snip> "I am having an alien's baby," joked Bowlin, before saying — seriously — that the rumors were false.  Harrison also asks (Tara) Huckeby if she's pregnant.   "I'm also pregnant with a two headed alien's baby, so. . ." she jokes back.  <snip> (Trish,) "I think what all of America wants to know is, what 'inappropriate behavior' you were talking about?" asks Trish — who clashed with Tara during the series. "There's no point in discussing this, I'm done with it, good luck to you," Huckeby snapped and walked off, leaving the rest of the cast open-mouthed.  Full Story

Last Night: Besides the obvious show to watch last night (see below) I also watched WB's Superstar USA - its now down to 8 contestants.  The most interesting thing that I saw last night was a preview for the finals where they shows the studio audience.  I swear I saw Marcellas from Big Brother 3 in a couple of the shots.  I will try to get some screen caps later today and post them.

American Idol - the numbers to call.  Tonight there are three phone numbers for each person.

Other:The Restaurant returns to finish off the last three episodes over the next two Saturdays. Episodes four and five air May 29th starting at 8pm and the two hour final episode airs June 5th at 8pm.

Last Night: The Swan pageant was last night - there was A LOT of re-hashing of the previous episodes - long story short - Rachel won, Beth was first runner up and Cindy was second runner-up.

"The Swan"

Beth

Rachel

Cindy

5/24/04 Tonight: The Swan finishes up - I have several videos and pictures on my Swan Page.

One new episode of Family Plots tonight.

Episode three of WB's Superstar USA.

5/23/04  Bachelor news...  Upon even FURTHER review - here is another picture I just got ahold of...  hmm - that new figure looks familiar.....

Bachelor Update....  upon further review (and actually I kinda felt this way when I posted the info below to start) - I suspect the pictures and "email" below are just a way to promote the show Wednesday.  Much like Trish being called a stalker, the stuff below reads and looks like a promotional stunt.  Who in the world would let someone walk around shoving a cell phone in Jesse's face?  And how could the same person follow Taras around?  I'd just take it as an interesting way to promote the show.

Scoop?  I don't know about that but somone was nice enough to share some pictures from the taping of this Wednesday's final "Bachelor" show (titled "After the Final Rose").

Here is what they told me - take it for what its worth - of course the 4 pictures sure seem to make it believable!!!

"Hi! A friend of mine was at the taping of the After the Final Rose episode (for The Bachelor, it doesn't air until Wed) and she sent me these photos from her cell <snip>.....Tara and Trish have it out and then Tara storms off the set...Jessica is put on the spot to address the rumors that she might be pregnant.. and Jen Schefft (from the Andrew Firestone Bachelor season) makes an appearance! that's all i know for now - i have yet to find out what happened between Tara and Trish..what Jessica's answer is, etc."
And here are the pictures (Click to see a larger version of each):

Group Shot (Chris and the ladies).
Jesse grabs a snack backstage.

Tara 'storms off.'
Tara talks to a producer.

5/22/04 Other: Added two new video clips and another new picture to my "Simple Life" pageThe video clips are classic Paris and Nicole as some poor guy tries to teach Paris how to drive a truck with a trailer.

Paris and Nicole get instructions.

5/21/04 Tonight: If you missed the first two episodes of WB's Superstar USA, you can catch them tonight. They will be shown back to back.  They originally aired this past Monday and Tuesday.

Other: I added a new video from The Swan in which each lady in the pageant speaks for about 20 seconds - you get to see each of them without all the make up - honestly they all looked better to me on the video than they did on the show.  Check it out on my Swan Page.

Average Joe will return in the fall - this time on Tuesdays.  Things may have changed a bit though, initially it was reported that this time around the theme would be "Plain Jane" - now all Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Universal Television, will say is, ""All we're going to say today is that 'Average Joe' will be back and there is a twist and viewers will learn that twist in the fall," Zucker says. (Zap2it Article).  Once the show has finished it's run "The Contender" will take over the same spot.

Two other new reality shows loved in on NBC for the fall: The High Life and The Good Life.

The Bachelor tidbits:

  • Jesse Palmer is/was scheduled to make about $675,000 this year playing quarterback in the NFL for the New York Giants - but he may be traded since there are 3 other quarterbacks competing for the job including this years #1 draft pick, Eli Manning.
  • Jesse and Jessica Bowlin will be taping the "After The Final Rose" show this weekend.
  • He had to return the $70,000 ring to ABC since he did not propose.

Ouch - this from Fox: FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman said, "'Forever Eden' we don't anticipate returning to the schedule, nor do we anticipate bringing back 'Playing it Straight.'" Hmmmmm then why don't they remove the "Returning this June" note on the Forever Eden official page??   The only good thing Berman said was, "We will certainly provide any viewer that needs the information with the information of the conclusion (of both shows)."

5/20/04 Tonight: Not one "new" reality show on tonight  - so here is a list of shows re-peating.  Fox obviously noticed the hole in the programming and has filled it with re-peats of the beginning of this seasons American Idol 3.  Bravo has a Queer Eye For The Straight Guy episode, MTV has Pimp My Ride, and HGTV has several offerings.

Other:  I updated the Outback Jack page with a teaser video I was sent - looks good!!

If you will be in the New York City area this summer you can get free tickets to see the new WB reality game show Studio 7Info here.

Casting Page updated - with links to "The Billionaire" and "GIlligan's Island" casting info.

Fox has announced their plans for the upcoming six months or so.  On the reality front - The Complex: Malibu will be coming in October 2004 and American Idol 4 in January 2005.  Forever Eden should still be back in June - and still no word on Playing It Straight.

Two new shows were teased on ABC during The BachelorThe Ultimate Love Test and The Two TimerBoth begin in June.

Last Night
On The Bachelor Jesse asks Jessica to continue on with him, no engagement - he gives her a one-way ticket to New York.  Then Tara arrives and Jesse tells her he is in love with Jessica - but it seems Tara already had a feeling things might go that way - and then Tara tells Jesse she will try her hardest to be happy for him and Jessica but thinks he acted wrongly towards her on the last date if he felt he was not going to end up with her in the end.

American Idol 3, Jasmine was eliminated - it was not not announced until the last 5 minutes of the show.

5/19/04 Tonight: I haven't a clue who will go tonight on American Idol 3 - but if Fantasia goes I won't be surprised. The eliminated contestants name will be posted in the Spoiler area as soon as I know it.  I have to share something - checking my web stats last night I discovered several people came across my site with the search terms "Diana Degarmo pregnant" - come on!!! I had noticed she seems to have put on a little weight but I simple assume it is from the stress all this attention has put on a 16 year old.

The Bachelor: Jesse takes Tara and Jessica home to meet his family and gets some last-minute advice from his former spy, then makes his final choice.  I will post that choice as soon as I know it in the Spoiler area.

Other: A note from one of the folks promoting American Idol 3, "for the first time ever, fans can re-live the evening's performances!Three of tonight's Idol performances will be streaming on www.idolonfox.com first thing Wednesday morning!"

Last Night:  Oopps, I did it again!!  Superstar USA was on last night - lucky for me it was delayed because my station had the Pacers (Basketball) game on.  I saw the last 20 minutes of episode #2.  This show will repeat on Friday and Sunday - check your listings.  I take back what I said before - I hav enow seen the person that was supposed to be "good" and just not prepared well.  Umm - the person is not that good - no offense.  He/she fit in very well with the others.

American Idol 3 - the numbers to call:
Jasmine Trias
1-866-436-5701
Fantasia Barrino
1-866-436-5702
Diana DeGarmo
1-866-436-5703

Well I did tune in after all - It seems most of the judges almost assume that Fantasia will be gone tommorow.  She outclassed Jasmine and Diana by miles (Diana did do well on her last song).  If you look back you will see she was my favorite from the start.  Sadly I think she will be gone tommorow  - this has become a sympathy vote kinda thing.

5/18/04 Tonight: Down to 3 people on American Idol and they are going to spend a whole hour on the show?  I pass - I'll be catching up on the other shows I have on tape.  For those watching, Clive Davis is the 'celebrity' judge.  I will post the phone numbers here as soon as I have them.

Other:  A portion of Dave Kerpen's (Paradise Hotel) newsletter that arrived today, "(Paradise Hotel) Where-are-they-now Trivia-of-the-month: Keith and Tara are no longer dating, and Scott and Holly are no longer dating. The only PH (Paradise Hotel) couple to remain, nearly one year later from the first episode...Amy and Zack."  YIKES!!!

Last Night: The Swan (one caught up on!!):  One contestant (Tanya S.) was caught with a mirror on her person and was eliminated - Merline N. moves on.  Kelly A. was declared the "Wildcard" and will compete as well.  There is a missing contestant.....  "Deborah W." was listed in the initial FOX press release (making the total 17, which was an off number to me) - yet she never has been seen.

Would you believe I have not seen anything that was on last night?  I must admit I have been quite the slacker of late.  I have a stack of 4 VCR tapes (yes, I still use a VCR!!) and will hopefuly knock out a couple extra shows tonight. I did see the beginning of Superstar USA and I will be interested to see who makes it - especially since, as I said below, someone that was posting over at tvclubhouse knew one of the finalists and said that she was talented but the producers/creators made it very hard to perform.  I also caught the beginning of Colonial House - I am sure I would like the show as a living history but I just didnt have enough time to watch it last night.

5/17/04 Tonight: A couple new shows begin, one winds down and one is gone....

Still going strong: Family Plots - If you have yet to see this show - you can catch up a bit when they re-peat episode #1 and Episode #3.  If you are a fan - be sure to check out the Family Plots page and read how to enter to win some cool A&E and Family Plots stuff!!

Gone - The Restaurant - yanked off the air - apparently they plan on re-airing all five episodes (there were only five??) beginning June 9th.

New: Superstar USA (WB) - This might be a painful show to watch, could also be a riot.  "Bad" singers are praised and everyone except those competing are in on it.  Now I have read some comments by a friend of someone that made the final eight.  According to her the contestants, or at least some of them, were not as 'bad' as they are made out to be, they were given no prep time and had to sing songs without any rehersal.

New: PBS's new show "Colonial House" - after the original 1900's house I had problems getting into this series, but I know some have been waiting for ti to begin.  Two hour premiere tonight.

Winding down - The Swan - the final two women get their make-overs and apparently one of them quits or leaves - the details were sketchy.  PReview videos of both women are posted on my Swan Page.

OtherI have a new Joe Schmo Two page up with info and a couple of pictures (more coming soon I hope!!!) - check it out - there is a LOT of info in the press release they sent me.  I particulary find their spoof of the "Rose Ceremony" interesting - for the guys its called the "Pearl Necklace" and for the women its called the "Flame of Love" ceremony.  Also, Joe Schmo season one will be coming out on DVD.  If you never saw you should seriously consider buying it!!

5/16/04 Tonight: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: A new episode airs tonight.

Other:  Some News Headline:

  • Diddy Dissolves Da Band - "Frustrated with all the bickering among members of his rap group on MTV's Making the Band, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs reached the boiling point and fired their asses on Thursday night's second-season finale." Full Story
  • Fox gay reality show courts controversy - "The Fox network has announced it is airing a two-hour reality special in which straight men will try to convince people they are gay.  The special, which is scheduled to air June 7, is titled "Seriously, Dude, I'm Gay." It follows two straight men competing for $50,000 who get separate apartments in West Hollywood, Calif., with gay roommates, come out to their surprised families and go on blind dates with men."Full Story
  • ‘Joe Mill' swaps reality TV for real life - "(Evan) Marriott's TV relationship, and any romance surrounding it, was tossed in the trash like a disposable razor right after the closing credits."  Full Story
  • Boston Rob's passion for hockey - "At Boston University, Coach Rob has practically been married to the campus’s financially challenged in-line hockey team. One of the team’s founders, he played the first year while finishing off an arts degree and has coached on a voluntary basis for another five seasons, fitting in most practices and games between a construction job and his CBS commitments."Full Story

5/14/04 Other:  I have updated the Swan page with preview clips of this mondays show.

After every recent Survivor season they have auctioned off items from the show - all the proceeds benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. This year there seem to be A LOT more items - 237 as of this writing - and most likely more will be added.  Some things are very expensive - some are not too bad - at least when they are first on the list.  I have managed to be the high bidder a few times on items - at least for a while - lol.  The newest items are pennants that were used on the show - they are all under $10 - but who knows where they will end up.  Click here to see the items and bid away!!

Last Night:  Survivor: America's Tribal Council: 38 million people voted.

Final four for the million:

  1. Colby
  2. Tom (Big Tom)
  3. Rupert
  4. Rob M.  (Boston Rob)
Winner of the Million: Rupert

Most votes on the other items:
Fight - Rupert & John
Sexiest Guy - Colby
Hottest Gal - Amber
Villian - John (Johnny Fairplay)

5/13/04 Tonight: Survivor: America's Tribal Council - I assume tonight we will see replays of all the things you could vote for this week (best fight, villian, etc) and then at the end they will award another million to one of the "All Stars" - as for the videos, the best plea for the extra Survivor All-Star million goes to Rob C. who promised to give half to Rupert and take Tom out to dinner - lol!!  Several promised to give to charity, Ethan promised to give it eaually to each contestant's charity.  Jenna told people to vote for Rupert (she said he was gonna win anyways and I agree).

Other: Forever Eden returning this June?????  Check the Forever Eden News.

I have updated the Outback Jack page with new pictures and the cast info!!

I am still running a contest related to the A&E show "Family Plots" - it ends soon - the folks promoting the show have been kind enough to toss in yet another prize.  Go to the Family Plots page and read how to enter to win a t-shirt, 'lip embalm' set, or a $50 gift certificate to the A&E online store!!!

Doug Wilson of Trading SpacesDoug Wilson from Trading Spaces will be hosting two new shows on TLC.  Unlike Vern Yip, he won't be leaving Trading Spaces however.  One show is entitled "Moving Up" (working title) and is about families moving and then re-visiting their old house.  The second show, scheduled at the moment as a series of four quarterly specials is titled "America's Ugliest" and will focus on different parts of the home.  Currently they are casting for America's Ugliest Bathrooms and America's Ugliest Kitchens.  Please go to the Casting Page for links.  Deadline listed as 5/29/04

Is there a way to have predicted that Latoya London was doomed to get voted off American Idol 3 last night?  I just came across this interesting fact on Yahoo,  "... here's how the final four stack up in searches: 1. Jasmine Trias, 2. Diana DeGarmo, 3. Fantasia Barrino, 4. LaToya London. Searches have the candidates in a complete reversal of judges' and critics' opinion."   Pretty revealing huh?  Link To Yahoo Buzz that had this item: Click.

Last Night: American Idol 3: Fantasia and Latoya in the bottom 2.  The crowd booed loudly at the announcement.  Latoya is eliminated.  I didn't watch much of the show - it was an HOUR long and Clay was on as well as Donna Summer.

The Bachelor: Trish asked Jesse to spend the night with him - she waited in her hotel room and he never showed.  So much for Trish.  Tara and Jessica get roses -  Mandy has to leave.

5/12/04 Tonight: The Bachelor: Jesse has it down to three but Trish will return and mix it up - as far as I am concerned its a ratings stunt by ABC and a sign that the "Bachelor" franchise is showing its age. The rumors I have seen indicate Trish is NOT his final choice.

American Idol: Based on Jasmines performance and reaction (tears) she would be the one most likely to go tonight - but with the wacky voting this year I wouldn't bet a lot on it.  I will post the info in the Spoiler area as soon as the eliminated contestant is named.

Last Night: American Idol - the numbers to call: Disco was the theme.

Jasmine Trias      1-866-436-5701
Latoya London    1-866-436-5702
Fantasia Barrino  1-866-436-5703
Diana DeGarmo  1-866-436-5704

5/11/04 Tonight: American Idol 3  - Four sing tonight - one will be eliminated tommorow.

Last Night: The Swan - Marnie R. and Sarina V. move on to the pageant - videos of their reveals are on The Swan page.

5/10/04 Tonight:  2 hours of The Swan, episode #3 of The Restaurant.  Also one more new episode of Family Plots.

Last Night: Survivor All Stars Final: My Recap...
The First Hour:
Amber wins the first immunity.  Rupert votes for Rob, Rob votes for Rupert, Amber votes for Rupert, and Jenna votes for Rupert - Rupert is voted off.  Then they do the lamest part of every Survivor - the walk down memory lane as the final three prepare for the final immunity challenge.  Final immunity challenge begins around 5 minutes before the beginning of the second hour.  Much like the very first Survivor the final immunity is to keep your hands on an idol as long as possible.  Jenna lifts her back foot and is eliminated.  Rob and Jenna discuss immunity - both say they will take the other - yet decide to fight it out - in a nice way.  Rob wins final immunity when Amber accidently touches the idol with the wrong hand so is eliminated.  And so hour one endw with everyone assuming Rob will take Amber with him to the final two.
The Second Hour:
Rob decides to keep Amber - he votes off Jenna - Rob and Amber are the final two.  THe final tribal council was a doozy - Shii-Ann and Jenna and Rupert were pretty nice.  Lex, Kathy, Alicia and Big Tom were ruthless - Big Tom wins the award for being the 'meanest' by faking a handshake with Rob that was classic and saying after he did it,  "don't be stupid stupid" to Rob.  In their final reponses Amber said she was sorry and felt bad - Rob managed to pull a couple tears - I wonder if anyone buys them...... we then saw the voting.  Jenna votes for Rob.... Alicia votes for Amber.....Ruperts vote is not shown, Shii-Ann's is not shown, Tom votes for Amber, Kathy votes for Rob.  Jeff takes the votes and head off - he is shown flying into New York on a helicopter - and then walking into Madison Square Garden.
Hour Three Begins:
Amber is wearing a shirt which says "I (Heart) Rob."  Amber says she thinks it will be a close vote.  Jeff tells Rob in many ways this was his season - that he dominated.  Jeff asks Rob how he feels - - Rob says that no matter what he feels like he already won because of Amber - and he asks Amber to marry him........ (being there is a rumor she is pregnant thats not much of a shock) - he gets on his knee and she accepts...... they kiss to cheers and boos.
Jeff says that this was not the big twist- Rob says his parents and Ambers parents knew.

The vote has still not been revealed - Jeff comments that Amber is a millionaire no matter what happens (kinda a let-down huh?).
Winner
Second
Third
Fourth
Amber
Rob M.
Jenna
Rupert
Amber wins 4-3 - the votes for Amber: Alicia, Tom, Shii Ann, and Lex

Then the big re-hash begins - I'm not gonna re-cap that - too much was said - Tom and Rob did shake hands - Lex appears to still have a grudge against Rob.

Jerri left during the live show because she was upset with  the way the audience reacted to her.   She had complained that they were real people and not just characters.

There was a car give-away...... Amber got to give away another car like the one she won - she gave it to Shii Ann because Shii Ann was the "swing vote" for her to win the million.

The twist - you can go online and vote for someone to win a million - go here to vote CLICK.  The results announced Thursday on SURVIVOR: AMERICA'S TRIBAL COUNCIL.  Voting ends Wenesday at midnight.  You will be able to watch each candidate make their plea online starting Monday.  I'll put up links as soon as they are up.

5/09/04 Tonight: This is it - the final episode of Survivor All-Stars - ABC has wisely not put up an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Amber
Jenna
Rob M.
Rupert
Not sure how things will go....  if Rob wins immunity the first hour I am betting he will work to get rid of Rupert - to me Rupert seems like the biggest threat between he and Jenna. If that happens and Jenna does not win immunity the second hour - I'd expect the final two to be Rob and Amber.  This is all guessing on my part.

For those that keep trying to catch Family Plots - the episodes from this past Monday will re-air tonight.

Other: Once the show is over - the auction of survivor props for charity should begin.  As I have the last two rounds of Survivor, I have created a ebay search specifically for these authentic items.  Many folks will post items that are similar to the items sold but the ones I link to are the real deal.  The only problem is that they end up selling for a TON.  But for me its fun to jump in and bid on some of them - I know I won't win.  Once the items are listed you can easily view them on my Ebay Survivor Charity Page

5/08/04  Tonight: No Nashville Star tonight - so the only "New" show tonight is a new episode of Trading spaces.

Other:  I had a busy night last night and added more casting links to HGTV and DYI network shows.  Check the Casting Page.

5/07/04 Last Night: Survivor All-Stars As Big Tom said it - he had to pull the knife outta his back.  The other four all voted him off after Rob and Amber seemed to convince him to vote for Jenna.  Rob won both the luxury challenge and the immunity.  The luxury was a new truck and getting to see a movie with one other cast member.  Rob selected Amber of course and she in turn got a new car as a surprise bonus.

Speaking of Survivor All-Stars - a little tidbit for those who wonder about Rob M. and Amber's relationship.  My sister lives very close to Amber (near Pittsburg) - and the word is that Rob M.  has been seen often in the area visiting Amber.  So it appears the relationship has continued since the show was taped.

5/06/04 Tonight: Survivor All-Stars:  One goes tonight - the winner Sunday.
Amber
"Big" Tom
Jenna
Rob M.
Rupert

With The Apprentice and Mad Mad House now over, the one 'big' reality show on tonight is Survivor All-StarsThings may get turned upside down tonight - hard to tell, but unless things get really screwy, or Big Tom wins the immunity, I'd expect him to go tonight.  Here are the "teasers" right from CBS:

  • Rupert and Jenna are shocked to realize Rob is standing right behind them during a private strategy session.
  • One All-Star fuels a fiery fight between two tribemates.
  • As Tribal Council looms, the five remaining All-Stars feel targets on their backs. Who will be voted off, and who will make it to the Final Four?
Note: The Final Survivor All-Stars show is this Sunday followed by the reunion special.

Last Night: American Idol: Only the bottom two were revealed...George and Jasmine.....  and the last male is gone, George Huff is the person with the least votes this week and is eliminated.
George Huff
Eliminated
Jasmine Trias
Safe

The Bachelor:  After visiting each woman's family Jesse selects Jessica, Tara, and Mandy J.  So Trish is eliminated.  As Trish departs she sounds like she doesn't feel like things are over, as a matter of fact that's exactly what she says.  The teaser for the next episode shows Trish walking in on one of Jesse's dates.  Jesse mentions the word stalker (gosh - I do believe I predicted that about 2 weeks ago).  Hmmm - lets see - this is a big time TV show and they can't keep her away?  When was the last time you saw a TV show allow a real 'stalker' on any set?  Seems ABC is trying to spice things up a bit too much.  Trish can now join Omarosa, Johnny "Fairplay," and Will Kirby on the Reality Villians walk of fame.

A woman scorned?

5/05/04 Tonight: The Bachelor: Jesse visits each remaining woman's home and will eliminate one more lady tonight.  I am pretty darn positive he will not choose Trish in the end, so the question is when will she go?  I don't think she will be in the final two so its either tonight or next week.  And there is still that "Stalker" thing they hinted at on the first episode.  I have to guess Trish will be that "Stalker" so maybe she goes tonight and comes back next week.

American Idol 3:  Someone is getting eliminated tonight - if the voting from last week carries through it might be George.  I'll post the results as they happen tonight.

Other
Nashville Star: I was driving early early this morning (1am) and listening to WGN radio when what do I hear but Lance Miller talking to the hosts Steve and Johnnie. He and the top three guys will be touring and they were discussing that.  What they mentioned was that they had spoken to him earlier during the show's run and said you could hear that interview from April 15th at their archives.Click Here to hear the Real Audio interview (20 minutes).  The interview from last night hasn't been posted but might be - so be sure to check Steve and Johnnie's audio page over the next day or two.

Last Night: American Idol 3:  All 5 remaining contestants performed big band songs - two each.  The consensus seemed to be that Latoya and Fantasia were the best.  But the way the voting has been who knows who will be eliminated tonight.  I'll posts the results as soon as I know them tonight.

5/04/04 Tonight:  Tuesday has become one of the few nights I get a bit of a break from reality - tv that is.  The only show I will pay much attention to is American Idol 3Once that is over I will probably turn on MTV and half-watch Real World San Diego and The Osbournes Season 3 while I surf the web looking for any interesting news to share :).

Last Night: Belinda moved on to the pageant after last nights Swan. Andrea M's transformation seemed a bit more dramatic to me but mentally she seemed to have a bit more to work on.  I went looking last night to see how these "Davinci" veneers work - here is what I found - "Porcelain veneers are thin, shell-like slices of ceramic bonded to the front of the teeth. They are used to cover gaps, to reshape chipped teeth or whiten stained teeth."  Cost?  $700 to $1,200 a tooth.

Family Plots: Another good show in which we got to see a bit more of the extended family - we met the girls' mom (Chuck's ex) as well as Shonna's husband who revealed Shonna has a bit of a cleaning obsession.

Oops - I didn't realize a mini-series was on NBC last night - so no The Restaurant. It will return next week.

5/03/04 Tonight: The Swan: Another two women get the ultimate makeover - pre-makeover videos are posted on my "Swan" page.

Family Plots: One new episode and one re-peat tonight.  if you missed the premiere tonight is the night to catch it.  Don't forget to check out the contest for t-shirts and lip-embalm sets - details on the Family Plots page.

The Restaurant: Episode #3 airs tonight  (I goofed - it wasn't on) - for those that want to know the scoop behind the show - here again is part of an article from the April 26th issue of New York Magazine. Its about Rocco DiSpirito and Jeffrey Chodorow and all the goings on with The Restaurant , here is part of it: "The second season was filmed in November and December, with Rocco an embattled figure in his own kitchen. Then, ten weeks ago, Chodorow filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, seeking to dissolve their partnership and to have DiSpirito pay back money he made from side ventures that featured the restaurant. Two weeks ago—conveniently timed to heat things up for the show’s second-season debut on April 19—DiSpirito filed a countersuit, alleging mismanagement on the part of Chodorow." Full story (there is A LOT more)

5/02/04 Tonight: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition another new episode airs.

High School Reunion 2 the final show for season two airs - its more of a "catch-up" show (what's happenned since).

Last Night: The Nashville Strar 2 winner is Brad Cotter, George Canyon placed second and  Matt Lindahl took third.

3rd
Brad Cotter
George Canyon
Matthew Lindahl

5/01/04 Tonight: Nashville Star 2,: The winner will be announced.
My guess is Brad or George will win.  I'm pulling for George but since he is from Canada he may not have gotten the votes to win.
