7/29/04  Yup - here I am slacking again - I have been VERY busy keeping tabs on the goings on in the Big Brother house - that area is updated several times a day and full of spoilers so beware if you don't want to know what will happen on TV.

Recent happenings on the shows I watch...

Amazing Race - Bob Barron and Joyce Nicolo were eliminated (the older couple that met over the internet).

Joe Schmo saw Tim kicked off but I am sure he will be back.

Outback Jack - errrr - I haven't seen last nights episode yet - it is TIVO'd - I just need to watch it!!

Playing it Straight - its over - the final episode was shown in Norway and she picked a straight guy - I will have the final episode recap up as soon as I can.

Forever Eden continues in Aussie land - I have a new recap to post shortly.

Last Night: I haven't watched Simple Life yet - I did catch the last 10 minutes of Ultimate Love Test - more info here.

Big Brother 5: Tonight should show the veto competition and the veto ceremony - will Holly or Lori be saved - hmmmmm  (I know but am not telling - go here to find out).

Amazing Race:  Two teams down - another to go tonight.

Outback Jack: One girl will be eliminated at the start - then they head to Perth so the girls can have a taste of the city life.

Next Action Star, Last Comic Standing, Trading Spouses - not going to see any of them.

Joe Schmo II - my first choice - this show just keeps me rolling.  THey have alread had to replace one "schmo" because she got wise to this fake reality show.

The Casino- this show is PAINFUL - its seems soo scripted - yet I do keep watching it.. WHYYY???

For Love or Money - this is in theory "seaon four" - errrr - whatever - ya lost me guys - just like you lost me when you began "season two" last summer.

Who Wants To Marry My Dad? - I still don't care.

Last Night: Ultimate Love Test - next week is the finale - I am betting both remaining couples stay together - or at least Frank and Heather who are still in a band together and touring.

The Restaurant - sheesh - finally saw the final show (on Bravo) and the ending stunk!!!

Last night: Big Brother....  boring for me because I knew Scott won and did not use the veto.  Live Eviction and a new HoH Thursday.

Amazing Race - Alison and Donny eliminated.

Big Brother 5: Episode #3 - expect the veto competition and eviction ceremony tonight - I doubt they will show who the switching twins are yet - those of us that watch the feeds already know.  If you want to know go here.

Amazing Race: Episode #2 - gotta love this show!!

Outback Jack: The girls think Marissa is gone - but she is back - check it out to see if she stays around - I am betting she does.

Blow Out: They ran a marathon last night so I caught up a bit - tonight it the final episode.

Joe Schmo II - Check it out on SpikeTV.  One women discovered the show was fake and another has been brought in to replace her.

Family Plots - check it out - its a hidden gem over on A&E.

For Love or Money: Well - this in theory is the beginning of the "4th" go round.  Last week Preston Picked PJ and PJ picked Preston and the world was right.  I don't know if I will watch this one - just too much else to see now.

The Casino, - BORING!!!  Fake, boring, I just don't like it.

Amazing Race:  Airs right after the premire of BB5 - I love this show as well - I hope it lives up to my expectations!!

Outback Jack:  Episode #3 airs tonight - and hopefully I will be interviewing one of the women that was 'kicked off" on a previous show tommorow.

Last Comic Standing......  umm - I will have to put this show aside as I have too many other things to watch (see above).  I'll try to keep up on it but I already had bad feelings about it before it started with the whole "fixing' (in my opinion) of the final 10.
 

Last Night: All i have managed to see so far is Joe Schmo - a complete recap of episode 4 is here.  I have also uploaded a page for the new "Jane" Amanda - you can see her picture and info here.

I guess part one of For Love or Money is over and PJ and preston chose each other - now they are bringing back 2 of the other women for part II.  Hate to say it but this show has dissapointed me - I thought NBC said they would do 12 episodes related to Preston - not 6 and 6 - this is very similar to last year...... I will try to get up a recap soon.

Big Brother - the houseguests will probably move in Saturday and the filming will begin.  Then they should have enpough tape for the first show on Tuesday.  See the Big Brother 5 area for other info.

Simple Life II - Nicole butts heads with her host family's oldest son. 

The Restaurant 2:  I think tonight is the first episode that originally aired on Saturday.  Hope I catch it!!!

6/29/04 Tonight:Outback Jack: Read a preview of tonight's episode here.  Another tidbit of info - it appears our "Jack" is not quite the "roughing it" kinda guy the show portrays according to this article from Australia where the show will not be shown until this fall. 

Next Action Star: "Tonight, the 14 contestants get physical and emotional for their screen tests. Another new episode airs tomorrow"

Last Comic Standing: "Tensions between two comics prompt one to consider leaving"

Real World: San Diego: They ran a marathon this weekend on MTV of which I caught a bit of - tonight is the finale of the series.

Joe Schmo II - Even though it premired last night - episode 3 will re-air tonight at the same time as it used to air (10pm ET).  If you don't want to wait I have a re-cap here.

On Bravo tonight:  Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and  Blow Out.
 

Last Night: Joe Schmo II - sorry - I am kinda ticked....  No One was eliminated - instead we have to wait until next week to see who goes.  My bet is that it is Ingrid.  Which would make a good reason to drag it out another week - cause once she is gone there is only the one Joe Schmo.  I have a recap here.

For Love or Money: Preston had to eliminate two ladies - Andrea and Rebekah are gone - there were a couple extra twists - one meaning one of the remaiing two (PJ or Rachel) is back up to a a check of One Million.

For Love or Money,: I don't get it - there are apparently only 3 episodes left.  Was it just me or didn't they say there would be 12 this time?  Oh well, 2 women are eliminated tonight - then part one of the finale is next week.

Family Plots: "Rick demands that his fiancee move in with him"

The Casino: "A girl arrives at the Golden Nugget looking for her big break" Psssst - this show is NOT hitting the ratings jackpot - Mark Brunett isn't having success with "day in the life" reality shows - his other 'flop' was The Restaurant 2.

Who Wants To Marry My Dad?:  Don't know, don't care - but for thse that do its on again tonight ;)

Currently I am watching Surreal Life 2 on VH1 and I see that Surreal Life 3 is scheduled to begin September 6th.

Other:  Come if you will into the day/evening of a webmaster of a reality web site.  One that has no help - just me myself and I running the show (and I like it that way).  Here is what I need/will do today.....(skip this if you bore easily):

• Check/Answer e-mail - Delete spam (never ending).
• Update the Gilligan's Island Page with a new video (Done)
• Update the Joe Schmo area to include links to the chat transcripts from the first two 'evicted' guests (actors). (Done)
• Write a full re-cap for last nights Ultimate Love Test (Done)
• Update the Outback Jack area with pictures I was sent for next weeks show.  (Done)
• Update the casting call page - have a couple new calls to post. (Done)
• Update the Simple Life page with the out-takes from the first three episodes.
• Update this area with some pictures because when its all text it looks a bit BORING (or maybe thats just me).
• Update THIS area to include a comment that I saw Zach Selwyn from the ESPN Dream Job co-hosting the Game Show Network show Extreme Dodgeball.  (partially done since I just mentioned it here).

Last Night:  Watched most of The Ultimate Love Test - I'll be writing a full re-cap tonight - the short and sweet (?) of the show was Brandon and Kenesha breaking up - other than that just more 'tests' and stress for the other couples.

Only saw the last 5 minutes of The Simple Life II and since they don't repeat it right away I am outta luck - I did see the girls dancing at the nudist camp (they kept their clothes on it seems).  I do have out-takes from last nights show that I plan to post tonight.

The Simple Life II - Paris and Nicole work as maids at the Caliente Nudist Colony.

Blow Out - not a new episode but I haven't seen it yet so maybe I finally will tonight.

Other: Tonight, Wednesday, June 23 Spike TV will host a live online chat at www.spiketv.com  for Joe Schmo 2 with Ernie "The Heir" portayed by actor/comedian Steve Mallory at 9:00 pm ET / 6:00 PM PT. For one-hour, Ernie/Steve will take in and answer your questions about Joe Schmo 2 - discussing the series so far, what's to come and even some inside
info on the series. 
 

Last Night:  Check each shows page for info - full recap of Joe Schmo II is up.  Recap of Outback Jack coming soon.  Bonnie was eliminated from Last Comic Standing and I have't yet watched Next Action Star.

Joe Schmo II (SpikeTv): A must see for me - I'll recap it as well.

Outback Jack (TBS): Another "Must See"  it starts tonight and if the show is as funny as the trailer it will be great. 

Next Action Star: Hasn't "sucked" me in yet - and going to be hard to do with the other shows on.

Last Comic Standing: The 10 final comics FINALLY start eliminating each other - this is the good part of this show based on last year.  Hopefully I can catch it. 
 

Last Night: For Love or Money  I have a full recap here - the short and sweet version is Preston eliminated the last woman worth 1 million (Ali) and now the woman with the highest check valie is Andrea at $250,000.  Surely there will be more twists and I am bettting someone will be worth at least 1 million by the end.

For Love or Money (NBC) : how in the world are they going to stretch this show out for 12 episodes??  5 women remain and in theory 9 episodes - the math just isn't working for me - I suspect some more "Twists."   I'll recap it later tonight.

Who Wants To Marry My Dad? (NBC): Yeah this show premires tonight but I never liked the first one so honestly I won't be checking out this version. I mean - the couple from the first round didn't last - as a matter offact I think the ONLY couple that got together from one of these kinds of shows that is still together is Bachelorette Trista and her now hubby Ryan.

News: Last Comic Standing: "Wednesday's (June 16) episode of "Last Comic" featured a controversy over the selection of the show's 10 finalists. Judge Brett Butler walked out after Mohr announced the final selections, and cameras caught her and fellow judge Drew Carey afterward, complaining that their picks didn't make the cut."  Full Story

Former Big Brother contestant in trouble?  "A Las Vegas real estate agent's 7-month marriage to "Big Brother 3" participant Tonya Paoni turned ugly Tuesday.   Richard A. Foster filed a statement with Metro, claiming Paoni grazed his arm with a knife and threw a cell phone at him while he was in bed recovering from a recent heart attack."  Full Story

The Bachelor: Jesse and Jessica break up - "Jessica and I shared an incredible romantic journey on the show that began with a friendship that remains strong today," Jesse Palmer told "Extra." "We simply realized that, individually, our next steps take us in different directions."  Should I say I am shocked?  Naaaaaaa.

An interesting Reality TV FAQ from USA Today.

Well - I read the rumor last week - now here's the deal - Mark Burnett wants to find a new singer for the band INXS whose lead singer, Michael Hutchence, died in 1997.   On the INXS official page guitarist Tim Farriss is quoted as saying,  "After Michael died we wanted to search the world for a new singer but we didn't know how we could effectively do that, but we've now found a fantastic way to make that happen."  No word yet on which broadcast channel might pick up the show.

Last Night: Joe Schmo II - gotta love this show - Rita was "evicted" after Austin decided not to give her a 'pearl necklace.'  Ingrid - the "Jane Schmo" seems to be very very suspicious of the whole show - she feels like things are not quite right.

Next Action Star: of the 30 remaining contest 10 were eliminated.  One interesting note pointed out to me by a fan of the site, Chris P., one of the 10 eliminated last night was "Dan" - it appears to be the same Dan that was on the Bravo reality show "Boy Meets Boy."  Chances are he did Next Action Star before Boy Meets Boy.

Last Comic Standing: Five of the Ten finalists were announced and they are: Kathleen Madigan, Gary Gulman, Corey Holcomb, Bonnie McFarlane and ANT.  As I have stated before - this show lost a lot of credibility with me this year when it was revealed that the "judges" really were not making the decisions in who advanced. 

And wonder of wonders - two of the five finalists above have the same manager as host Jay Mohr.  Jay Mohr,  ANT and Gary Gulman are managed by executive producer Barry Katz.

Number one - JOE SCHMO II - I am a bit biased but I am telling you - if you have a sense of humor about reality shows and are willing NOT to take this it too seriously, you will love this show.  Check my Joe Schmo page for lots and lots of details including a 5 minute preview - and tune in tonight!!!!

Second up - night two of Next Action Star - last night was the auditions along the lines of American Idol with the good and the bad.  Keep in mind this show was filmed something like 2 years ago and has been gathering dust for a while.

And finally another show on NBC is Last Comic Standing - once again they are still eliminating people and once again remember that this show is not truely a competition since some of the "finalists" are determined without consenting some of the "Judges."
 

Last Night:  Being as I was on the road until late last night I have not been able to see all the shows that were on last night.  As of this writing here is what I have seen.

Superstar USA - Jamie wins - check my Superstar USA page for a few more details (now) and pictures (later today).

For Love or Money: Another Jamie was eliminated on this show last night - I have a full recap here.  Jamie's check  was worth $250,000.

Finale - WB's Superstar USA - who will win the final competition?  Tune in to find out tonight!  My money is on either Mario or Jamie....

Other: So where the heck were the updates this weekend???  I have been on a mini-vacation - but there wasn't much going on anyways!!!  I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Detroit but should be back to normal tommorow.

Other:  Gambling is in big time....  besides the heavily hyped, "The Casino" which begins next week on FOX, Discovery Channel has a new show on called "American Casino." There is also a slew of poker/blackjack related shows on - many of which I will watch from time to time - so guess what?  I put them all on one page!!  Check out my "Gambling" page to see what you might be missing.

World Series of Poker: "Starting Monday at 4 p.m., ESPN will get viewers ready for its 2004 poker lineup (to debut July 6 at 9 p.m.) with 22 hours of poker in a 24-hour period. The network will only take two one-hour breaks during the marathon, for "SportsCenter" at 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. "

Last Night: My thoughts on last nights Ultimate Love Test can be found on my Ultimate Love Test page.  No one is kicked off on this show (errr - that I know of) so its mostly watching and wondering if anyone will give in to the person selected 'specially' for them - lol.
 

On Last Comic Standing - more eliminations and you don't really get to know any comic yet - many you just hear one joke from.  For those that are out of the loop there was a big stink during the auditions when some 'judges' felt that the folks putting the show together were NOT selecting the best comics, but the comics with connections.    Here is a portion of one article... "Questions also were raised about business ties between the show’s producers and some of the comics chosen as the 10 finalists. One executive producer, Barry Katz, also manages two of those performers — Gary Gulman and a comic who goes by the stage name of Ant — as well as host Jay Mohr."  Full Story

Last Night: For Love or Money: Preston eliminated quite a few ladies but don't expect this to be a short series.  Last year For Love or Money was in two parts of 6 episodes each (Guy picking gal, gal picking guy) - this year it is 12 episodes and its all about the ladies competing for Preston.  A more detailed recap soon!!

Jo Jo was eliminated from Superstar USA.  Next week is the finals where the remaiing three will apparently perform duets with each other - and they have yet to see each other perform.

Superstar USA is winding down and the final four will perfom tonight in front of a live audience.  WIll Jo Jo, Jamie, Mario or Rosa figgure out its all fake?  For some reason I doubt it.  A better question would be will Jamie write the lyrics on her hand yet again??

Assuming A&E doesn't run any more special programming on President Reagan, Family Plots and Airline should be on tonight - Family Plots will have a new episode this week - I have a teaser for it on my Family Plots page.
 

Last Night:  As mentioned above - the Family Plots marathon did not air because A&E ran special programming about the life of President Reagan.

Also tonight early is a repeat of Superstar USA from this past Monday.
 

Other: I discovered yet another reality show last night - The Drive is on CMT and is about driver trying to make it on the small race tracks around the country.  It covers stock cars, open wheel race cars and more - two women and five men are the subject of this series.
 

Last Night:  Well my luck has been terrible with The Restaurant 2, I missed the final episode because my local channel was running a telethon.  Luckily Bravo is repeating the series so I hope to catch the last three episodes there.

Last Night: Episode number one of Ultimate Love Test didn't really mention how the 100k could be won - it was pretty much an introduction to the main characters including the people that will be 'tempting' the people sent to Cabo.  Information on the characters with links to some of there home pages on my Ultimate Love Test page. (Just added a link to CR's site via an e-mail request from him - fyi he is Heather's  "Ex")

Last Night: WB's Superstar USA: My wife and some people I have talked to think this show is just plain mean.  Oh well - I love it :)  Episode 5  was on last night and the eight were knocked down to four.  Next week one more person will be eliminated and the contestants will be performing in front of a live audience.  For more pictures and details check out my Superstar page.  The final four are:

And on The One That Got Away:
After all the ladies from Skip's past are brought back, he ends up with his most recent girlfriend, Grace.

Seems like this show was going to originally be a two-part thing but they combined it into one night.  At the end of the first hour Skip eliminated Amy, Katie, Mallory, and Mindy.  During the second hour the three remaining ladies were asked whom they think should be eliminated - even though Grace and Kristi suggested Erin should go, Skip decided to kick off Kristi.  So it was just down to Erin and Grace.  Skip chose Grace and they went off on a trip to Greece.  As each woman was eliminated he gave them a letter - those will be available HERE once sometime soon.
