The episode begins with a re-hashing of the nominations – we see Lori and Holly nominated.

Lori feel she has been nominated because she took the $10,000 after the first food competition.

Marvin says that is why he nominated Lori – and he nominated Holly because of the influence she has over Jase.

Will and some of the girls conspire to tell the guys they will vote out Lori and then switch their votes to get Holly out.

Michael tells Scott and Drew that he thinks Holly may be the one to go – Scotts says that’s why Marvin should have put up Diane instead of Holly.

Michael approaches Jennifer and tells her they need her vote to get Lori out – Jennifer confides to the Diary Room that she does not like being told what to do when she is not included in other decisions.

Will and Karen conspire to keep Lori in the house – he has titled the plan “operation security blanket” which according to Lori includes Adria, Diane, Will, Karen and Jennifer (Nikomas aka “Nic”).
 

Lori says the veto is very important so that Holly can’t win it and take herself off the block.  Will hopes to beat the guys at their own game. Next we see Diane talking about Drew and how attracted she is to him.  Drew said their might be something between him and Diane but for now it is a wait and see thing.  Even Will agrees that Drew is a great guy.   We see the beginnings of the plan to lie to the guys – Diane says she does not care who goes – Scott comes in and tells Diane to be quiet which ticks her off – Scott is very condescending towards Diane questioning her intelligence and even going as far to call her “trailer trash.”

Then we see Diane in tears and Lori and Holly consoling her.  Scott comes by and Diane leaves – Scott claims they were just goofing around and Diane just can’t handle it.

Jase and Holly talk to Diane and Jase says what Scott said was not right.  Diane says she used to date a guy like Scott.  Holly tells the Diary Room that Diane’s personality sometimes ticks the guys off.  Scott tells the Diary Room that she is trying to play tough and she is pissing people off.

The show resumes with a demonstration of how Scott often acts silly inside the house – running naked through the house, using the treadmill in a simulation of a Jackass episode (MTV) – him talking about being in Playgirl, etc.

It seems almost everyone in the house chimes in about how Scott acts and how he is so obsessed with himself and we see many examples as he struts about the house.

Cut to Karen and Jennifer talking – Jennifer tells the Diary Room that she is playing the “Goth Kid” – Jenn talks about how she is not feeling close at all to Michael and the more he hangs around the guys and lets them influence him, the less she can stand him.  She says that if it comes down to it she would vote him out.

Next up is Lori talking about how she might really want to go home to Karen.  Karen is shown in the Diary Room in tears over the fact she may leave.  Lori is also shown saying the same thing to Will.  (A note that should not spoil anything – One of Lori’s reasons not shown is her missing her boyfriend Todd – who she has said she has been in a very serious relationship for 4 years).

Karen pulls Lori aside and tells her that she has gotten enough votes to keep her so she can’t leave.  Lori says “ok” and hugs Karen – she says she will try to win the Veto to keep things the same.

Now there is a segment on Adria – everyone likes her – then we see another “switch” – Natalie now enters the house.  During this segment they explain that after the five weeks the twist will be revealed (I don’t think it was mentioned before – but if the other HGs fins out they have been swapping I see that as one more reason neither of them can win).

The Veto competition begins…
Marvin selcts Drew as a partner
Lori picks Karen
Holly picks Jase

Will is selected by Marvin to run the competition.

We then see the layout – it’s a ‘field’ of partitions and ropes.  The title is “Snag the veto.”

The object is to untangle the rope and pull it through the partitions – get your key and get to the location of the Veto medallion.

A mess ensues – no need to recap – Jase won – it appeared Lori was a very close second.

Will and Karen talk in the Diary Room about how this was the worst case.

Scott and Jase go off to discuss about the veto – Adria joins them along with Michael.  Jase says it is obvious that there is an alliance between Karen, Lori and Will so they need to split them up.

Jase goes to Marvin and tells Marvin they need to split up the Will, Lori, Karen alliance – Marvin says if Jase saves Holly he will put up Lori.  Jase says he hopes Lori goes but he won’t care if Karen goes.

The show returns with a segment about how Karen is going crazy – she talks about Holly (her dingyness), Jase (how he says he is 28 but has crows feet), Scott (his obsession with himself and his disproportionate body), and Marvin – pointing out each of their idiosyncrasies.

Holly talks to Jase and Jase says that she is still not safe.  Lori thinks since Lori wants to leave she will get voted out – so she is not sure if Jase should use the veto.  Holly feels if Jase uses it it might make her more enemies.  She tells Jase that she doesn’t want him to make enemies.

The plotting to keep Jase from using the Veto is shown….  Adria tells Lori that Karen has been “working it” – telling the guys that she thinks Lori is going and Jase shouldn’t use it or he might make enemies.  The guys don’t buy it.  Jase and Scott say if they get rid of Lori they are that much closer to the “Four Horsemen” making the final 4.

Next segment…..  Nakomis gets a mohawk……. Say no more….

Finally we get to the Veto Ceremony….  There is much drama by the camera……  Jase calls the folks in…..  and and and…..  oh heck – he saves Holly and Marvin puts up Karen – what a shocker!!!!!  ;)

Btw – Marvin makes his excuses – says its nothing personal – but he feels Lori’s main ally is Karen so that’s why he is putting her up.  He flowers it with the bs he used before – says it is a sign of  Karens strength that he felt he needed to nominate her.

Marvin tells the Diary Room he is mad at Jase for saving Holly… he wanted her out of the house.

Karen tells the Diary Room she will do anything she can to win the next HoH.

Lori says she feels bad she is up against Karen.

Will feels “they” (his alliance) must win HoH next week.
