Episode #4 6/21/04:

The show begins with the host Jordan revealing that Preston will be going on 4 dates today (there are 5 women left).  Preston can keep the same woman on all 4 dates of switch to another women.  The "catch" on top of that of course is one woman won't go on a date no matter what and he might keep the same girl on all four dates.  Rachel says she thinks she might be in it for love now..... unless things go badly... then she is back in it for the money.

Preston arrives and selects Andrea for his first date.  They flirt in the limo.... and end up skating at an indoor rink followed by a lunch/dinner on the rink and a kiss.  Preston returns with Andrea and the remaining four women are waiting for him.  We must wait for a commercial to see whom he chooses for date number two.
 

Ali is picked for the second date.  Rachel is dissapointed - Preston explains to the viewer that she was picked simply because of the value of her check.  It appears Ali suspects this.  The two don't seem to be hitting it off - but Ali appears to be thinking he might be getting more interested (he's not).  The couple watches what they think might be a movie but what turns out to be a slide show of pictures from Ali's younger days.  You can almost see Preston working very hard to seem interested. Meanwhile, back at the mansion the 3 remaining women that have not been on a date grill Andrea about her date with Preston - she doesn't tell them that she and Preston kissed lest they get mad at her and talk bad about her to Preston (MEOW!!).

Cut back to Preston and Ali driving back - Preston again repeats to the camera that he has no interest in Ali besides the size of her check.  He wishes he could take the money and give it to one of the other women.  They arrive back and we again must wait through another commercial to see whom he picks for his next date.

Preston selects PJ for his third date and Rachel recounts that she was then sure she would not be going on a date with Preston this day.  The limo barely has barely moved away from the mansion when it stops by a tent where PJ and Preston eat a small meal in the tent.  They then snuggled on pillows in the tent while we listened to both of them talk about the whole money thing.  PJ and Preston exchanged a kiss outside at sunset, the entire time PJ concerned one of the other women might see them, and then they head back to the mansion.

Rebekah and Rachel are seen talking about why they think both of them should be on the final date....  We are once again left waiting to see whom he chooses.....  (can I say right now that the show tonight is REALLLY BORING??? I can??? Thanks..... THIS IS REALLY BORING FOLKS!!!!).

Preston chooses Rebekah - Raqchel is very pouty about the whole thing while Rebekah is very excited.  Of course Rebekah is only worth $1 so her odds in the long run are slim (at least to me they wseem to be) - but Preston says she is probably the cutest of the bunch and her value has nothing to do with why she is still there (obviously!!).

They end up at the top of a building which happens to have a hot tub.  After eating they jump in the hot tub, Rebekah commenting to the camera that she was not "checking" Preston out because she thought that might embarrass him (he meanwhile comments on her great body to the camera).    Again we see the other girls being moping about not going on the last date (or in Rachel's case - any date)  - PJ thinks Rebekah may be her biggest competition.  Now Rebekah and Preston are kissing in the hot tub - looks like about the most passion we have seen out of Preston yet.  Rebekah admits to the camera that if Preston is "playing" her he is doing a good job.  The two arrive back at the mansion and Rebekah tells the camera that she is falling for Preston.

Another commercial break comes and goes and we join the ladies discussing Rebekah's date.  Rebekah says she didn't check out his body - none of the girls believe it - especially Rachel.

The women dress for the elimination and all relate their fears.  Before we get to the elimination the ladies are brought to the "event" room and find their checks on little tables.  On the tables are small velvet pads.  Jordon enters and reveals another one of them can find out the value of their check.  PJ sits out since she already knows hers.  The four remaining women are given a chance to find out the value of their check - but the price is that they will give up 50% of its value.  One lady does take the offer  and SURPRISE - we have to wait to see whom it is.  We do see in a teaser that Preston finds out one of them took the offer.

Back again - It was Andrea who dropped her ring and WAS worth $500,000 - Rachel tells the camera that Andrea was an idiot - "you  never go with the first offer" - Jordan confirms this by revealing that he was willing to go as low as 20%.  Andrea sees that she WAS worth $500,000 and is now worth $250,000.  Jordon excuses himself and the girls wait for Preston and discuss the money and the loss of Andrea's money.  They seem to have a pretty good idea on what kind of money is still out there.

Jordan meets with Preston - reveals that Andrea found out the value of her check and that she is now only worth $250,000.  Jordan points out he might want to consider that.  Preston tells the camera that her dropping the ring shows that money was an issue to Andrea and that he lost trust in her.

Cut to Jordan thanking the ladies and blah blah blah (Just eliminate one of 'em man!!).

PJ is first called up - of course she is safe (Her check is worth $50,000)
Rebekah is called - again - we all know she is safe (She's worth $1)

Commercial - BOOOO!!!!

Rachel is next - thats why they waited to show us - she's safe (She's worth $1)

So its between Ali ($1 Million) and Andrea ($250,00).

Ali is next up and surprise surprise - he asks for the ring back (Ouch - there goes a Million) - he said they just were not clicking and since he had only a short time to find 'love' he could not wait any longer (or some BS thing like that).

So Andrea is safe and she is very excited.
